Hey everyone moving over from the ttc sept 2024 thread. Very light start to period today. Expect to start tomorrow with negative pregancy tests. Thought id dip my toes in and start a wee thread.

Little bit about me. Im 35 years (soon to be 36 in oct...a birthday bfp would be lovely) been ttc since jan this year. This will now be cycle 10 for me. I have a 8 year old daughter with my ex and had to have ivf/icsi to have her due to his low sperm count. My new partner and i have been together now 2 and a half year and would love to extend our family.

So far i have had day 21 bloods which confirmed that i am ovulating and waiting to hear back regarding his SA results.

Please feel welcome in joining this thread and sending postive pregnancy vibes to all 😍

Hi all, congrats to those getting BFPs.
just an update on my situation as I know a few of us have been on the TTC forums for some time.
we suspected that my husband might have a low sperm count because he had an undescended testicle that wasn’t corrected until he reached puberty (nowadays they correct when you’re a baby because it’s known to cause fertility issues later in life). We had to wait 5 months for semen analysis on NHS.
he got his results this week and he is all in normal parameters. They are slightly below average but nothing to be super worried about. So currently our situation is unexplained, we are at 12 cycles without success. I have an appointment with my GP this week, so while I am confused, I am feeling optimistic that we’ll get some help!

best of luck to everyone, whether that is future cycles or current pregnancies 😊

@CoolSummer89 Gosh, I'm really glad to hear that the sperm analysis was ok! I'll keep everything crossed that you get your answers soon. TTC is so exhausting, mentally and physically Xx

@HighSir Congratulations, how exciting! Try not to stress and take care of yourself Xx

To those who are around the 1 year mark, I hope it’s just the case that you’re not part of the statistic of 70% who fall pregnant within the first year, and you will become part of the 90% that fall pregnant within the second year 🤞🏻 took us 18 months to conceive our second which we sadly lost at 20 weeks. I do think it was the case that we were just one of those couples who conceived as part of the 90%!

massive congratulations on those BFP! We are now TTC for November xxx

Hello, popping in late in the game this month.
Currently on cycle 4 after ten years on the pill.
My cycles have been all over the place, last month was 24 days and this month ovulated on/around day 12 (so shaping up to be similar again for, period due Nov1).
I’m 8dpo and have experienced random sharp cramps (unusual for me) and, maybe tmi, I’ve been constipated for a few days and I never have this issue before.
Anyone experienced anything like this before a BFP? I’m technically 6 days from my expected AF tomorrow so was thinking about taking an early detection test but I’m scared of the disappointment.
Does anyone have any advice or thoughts? 😭

Tadpolecat · 25/10/2024 20:36

Not advice but you're similar to me @OriginalHoolaHoops I'm 7DPO today, due AF on the 1st! I've been feeling twinges but I did last month, so I'm trying not to symptom spot! When I was pregnant with my son I felt nothing and was convinced it would be negative😅

I posted a couple months ago, officially started trying now, which honestly is amazing because as cheesy as it is it was my christmas wish.
With my first DD I was off the pill 8 months and we had a BFP after 2months ttc.
Different partner now, and I'm only 1 month after getting copper coil out.
But I'm due to ovulate over new year.
I'm excited.
