Hey everyone moving over from the ttc sept 2024 thread. Very light start to period today. Expect to start tomorrow with negative pregancy tests. Thought id dip my toes in and start a wee thread.

Little bit about me. Im 35 years (soon to be 36 in oct...a birthday bfp would be lovely) been ttc since jan this year. This will now be cycle 10 for me. I have a 8 year old daughter with my ex and had to have ivf/icsi to have her due to his low sperm count. My new partner and i have been together now 2 and a half year and would love to extend our family.

So far i have had day 21 bloods which confirmed that i am ovulating and waiting to hear back regarding his SA results.

@MyGardenDaisies Haha same! Clear blue ovulation test negative again this morning, even though started with EWCM yesterday so thought it would be today - nope! i’m feeling abit fed up of waiting for the smiley face!!

Hi everyone!
CD 15 for me today, usually 27-28 day cycle and had lots of EWCM yesterday so think ovulation had probably been and gone.
We managed to do every other day from Day 6, then two days in a row on CD13/14 so hopefully we have done enough 🤞🏻
Starting the dreaded TWW now- determined not to cave and test early this month after the heartache of a CP last cycle!
Lots of luck and baby dust to everyone still in ovulation week, and let’s hope for a speedy couple of weeks for all those waiting!

I have a horrible feeling I ovulate during AF, I've had EWCM since yesterday - we DTD Sunday night and are aiming for tonight too, even though I have another full day of AF tomorrow, it should finish tomorrow night! Does having the EWCM yesterday/today mean it'd be too late to conceive or does it mean I'll be ovulating soon? Xx

I’m on day 7 of high fertility and I’m thinking the peak will not happen

@MyGardenDaisies i have never heard of this? Is that quite common? this is my first month tracking ovulation / reading into it so don’t know too much about it!

@AmberM223 I’mnot sure either. I used it for my first baby and got pregnant 1st cycle. Now it’s 2nd cycle trying for baby nr 2.

I technically already had a peak this month - but I used the same test reader as last month. It showed not fertile on CD9, high on CD10 morning and peak on CD10 evening. Apparently Clear Blue is 99% accurate but it just seems so early!

at the same I also started a new device as I topically don’t ovulate so early(usually day 17), and it’s been showing high fertility for 6 days now (recounted and it’s actually 6 not 7).

ive read to stop testing if it’s been high for 9 days I think.

I know I am being impatient and it might peak tomorrow or maybe I already have peaked.
I’ve had minimal discharge too, so not sure 🤔

I got the peak smiley! Day 15, which is in line with Flo app!

My story is the same as yours - conceived first time round with baby #1 and now on cycle 2 trying for #2! I’m 2dpo now so hopefully this time! I was 33 with my first and now 37.

I have planned a lot of activities in the 2 week wait, so it leaves me less time to symptom spot and burn money on pregnancy tests too early on

@MyGardenDaisies glad you got it!! i’m confused, i got a negative clear blue digital yesterday morning, then this morning got a static smile?!? so completely missed the flashing one!! DTD last night anyway so hopefully i caught it. Feel like i have caught the flu today though and i’m soooo unwell, really hoping that doesn’t affect conception haha or anything like that!!

@AmberM223 that’s annoying but it only takes one sperm and one time so if you DTD today and tomorrow, you still get a few times in the fertile window.

looks like quite a few of us will be in the 2-week wait together !

I’m on day 16 but still showing as not fertile. Used a clear clue and it was a circle. And low on a stick test. Normally it’s around day 19 so just holding out and DTD every other day still. Hopefully it’s before the weekend as we are staying in a caravan with my parents and don’t think we can DTD with them next door 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

Good luck to you all! AF finished today and I've had a huge breakout of spots on my chin which is not ideal at all... I feel like my hormones are all over the place as I'm sure I've had EWCM for the last few days too!

@MyGardenDaisies fingers crossed we managed to get one last one in last night (but superrrr late around midnight🫣😫) and tested this morning and levels right back down - really hoping we caught it in time! Now the two week wait begins…🙃🙃

@LS888 I was the same this month, i convinced myself i wasn’t going to ovulate this month! then bang Tuesday morning got a static smile - so completely missed the flashing one even though i have been testing twice a day!!

Lools like alot of us are in Ovulation week 😊 Ive been using the LH strips all week and they are getting darker by the day, my apps tell me I should ovulate on Saturday but I have absolutely no symptoms no lower tummy pain which I usually do and no Ewcm. Im now worried my cycle is mixed up because I did have an early miscarriage in August. I know I ovulated in September but I wanted to wait for my 1st period to ttc so waited till this month

@HNM I'm the same as you, AF ended yesterday, have started tracking ovulation today with LH tests as I ovulated earlier than expected last month. Hoping this is a great month for everyone ☺️.

SMEP is out of the window, it was just too much DTD and too much pressure and chore like..
Today and tomorrow are my last days of fertile window, so might try again, but I hope the times we did it before ovulation in the fertile days will be enough.

Question - what do you do if not in the mood / partner not in the mood but it’s peak time? Do yiu do regardless or just accept it is what it is and it won’t always be possible to DTD/ do it as many days as possible?

I feel like the pressure of performing is putting a downer on us both, but we really want another baby. Ugh 😩

We're about to start trying for baby #2! I'm 25, fell pregnant straight away with my son 5 years ago - first month of coming off the pill.

Had a slip up back in 2023 but sadly had an early miscarriage

Pill is officially in the bin! I'm on my period now so day 2 of my cycle, trying not to get my hopes up too much and have a realistic time frame but I'm very excited

@HighSir Our timings are the same! I've been reluctant to start the ovulation strips but feel like it's going that way so I can see what's going on, I just feel like they never really worked last time...

@HNM I feel the same way as you about ovulation strips, and up until now have just been going on rough cycle timings and cervical mucous. If we don’t catch this month I’m starting to think ovulation testing might be the way forward, it just feels a bit clinical and I’m worried it will stress me! If I do I’ll need to try and keep it quiet from DH so he doesn’t feel the pressure to perform haha! 🤣

I hope everyone is doing ok? I’m CD 16 today, and by a guess am probably about 3DPO (based off my normal 27 day cycle). We managed every other day from day 8-12, then every day from 12-14 (fuck me im dying 🤣🫠). However, today I’ve been feeling bloated and have loads of mucous, so wondering if I’m throwing a cheeky late ovulation- will try and DTD tonight be cover us, but we are both worn out 🤣🤣🤣 or maybe I just have thrush from all the BD, who knows at this stage…

@Pipersgirl Hahahaha it sounds like you're doing well! Honestly I'm quite enthusiastic but my poor partner is 10 years older than me and he's soooo tired all the time, our one year old is high maintenance and by the end of the day he just wants to cuddle. I'll do the same with the ovulation strips next month Xx

@Pipersgirl I am on CD16 too! But ovulated today and have a 12-day luteal phase, so we are probably waiting for similar missed period date.

So last night I had pain lasting about 15 mins or so, and the only other time I’ve had that same feeling was implantation with my son. I’d be surprised if it was though as I didn’t think I’d ovulate until today, I was on the pill since my
miscarriage earlier this year and only came off early last month, so I don’t think my body has gone back to normal cycles yet.
If we weren’t TTC then I’d probably just think I had a dodgy stomach! This really does make you overthink and read into everything doesn’t it!!
