Hey everyone moving over from the ttc sept 2024 thread. Very light start to period today. Expect to start tomorrow with negative pregancy tests. Thought id dip my toes in and start a wee thread.

Little bit about me. Im 35 years (soon to be 36 in oct...a birthday bfp would be lovely) been ttc since jan this year. This will now be cycle 10 for me. I have a 8 year old daughter with my ex and had to have ivf/icsi to have her due to his low sperm count. My new partner and i have been together now 2 and a half year and would love to extend our family.

So far i have had day 21 bloods which confirmed that i am ovulating and waiting to hear back regarding his SA results.

My new cb digital reader says high fertility too so trying to DTD ever day until 1 day past peak

Hope it's ok to join, I think I ovulated on Sunday or Monday but not sure as I thought I had some ewcm earlier today. I'm also not sure when my last period was, I know it was early September sometimes but not sure on dates.

@MyGardenDaisies Amazing, thank you! I definitely need to Google some of these supplements. The no caffeine thing is going to be sooooo hard, I have a 12 month old and I teach at secondary school two days a week 🙃 I normally have two coffees a day, it's my vice! Maybe I should work harder at tracking my ovulation too... I actually need to do all of things better and more hahahaha

Hey everyone i’m on CD14 now. I don’t think i usually ovulate until around CD17-19 anyway - but been doing ovulation sticks since AF finished last week. And each day my sticks seem to be getting lighter!? not darker? Is this normal? never used them before and i don’t get it. I only test once per day, but i do test at the same time. I’m just using boots own brand ones! It’s making me panic that i don’t even ovulate!!

@AmberM223 I suggest you try digital ovulation tests at they take the “reading” part away

Hi ladies, joining from the September thread.. CD1 again.. only 11 days after ovulation so not even sure if it’s possible for me to get pregnant with that short a luteal phase? Has been shorter since MMC in July so hoping it lengthens soon
Tested early (again) this month and thought I had a vfl so I’m going to try not to buy any tests this month 😬 just end up hurting my own feelings!

Hope everyone is well. On cd 11 today think ill get peak ovulation tomorrow. Partner got his SA results on friday. Gp said nothing concerning..count is 74 million with 66% motile. He cant rememeber the other numbers but gp told him given the fact his numbers are good and im ovulating he is hopeful its going to happen and just taken its time x

@Nicola1988 77 million is great, well above average! Hopefully this puts both of your minds at ease

@AmberM223 This happened to me when I was TTC my 1st, I never ever got close to a dark line so I stopped using them because it was stressing me out. A couple of weeks later I decided to try one again and it was the most dark red line ever that showed up with one spec of wee LOL. I thought OMG let's go now is the time to DDD, went out for lunch with a friend same day and almost gagged at the parmesan in Zizzi, thought hmmmmm strange. Turns out I was pregnant! Test confirmed it that night. I'm scared to use them again because I was getting so frustrated that the line never went red! I might try the clear blue Xx

@HNM I’d heard they also recognised pregnancy - similar hormone being detected! What a shock for you!

For those doing SMEP- I don’t have a gradual rise. Just low then high. So when do we start doing the three days in a row? I usually ovulate around day 20. Currently day 13 so another week to go. Trying to keep up the pace 🤣 if I wait until the rise it might be too late. Or do I start day 18/19 regardless of the opk?

I’m still in the “high fertility” window, so DTD every other day and patiently waiting for “peak fertility” smiley to appear.

@HNM oh really that’s interesting!! i’m going to buy the clear blue ones today i think- staring at these lines is getting me so stressed!!

Hi 😊 I think next weekend is my ovulation time and just wondering is it best to DTD for 3 nights in a row or every second night?

I'm four days into my period and I think I usually ovulate quite early in my cycle (maybe) so we're going to try and DTD every day... Let's see how long it lasts LOL. We're just going to go for it though because that's what we did before! It might end up being every other day though, my partner is always tired hahaha.

it is CD13 and 5th day of “high fertility” - that flashing smiley is annoying me now 😅 still no EWCM either, so just patiently waiting for that peak static one..

The wait to try again after my early loss last cycle is killing me! I'm so excited to start tracking again and get back into TTC mode, feeling hopeful!
Due on this weekend, so not long to go!

I have moved onto the digital smile ovulation tests today - was sick of staring at them pesky lines on the other ones and comparing!! But today just got a clear circle so not ovulating - which i would have expected to have ovulation day tomorrow (and all my apps say this too) so i feel confused! Obviously just going to ovulate later this month maybe…

Good luck to everyone 🤞 This is my first time using ovulation sticks and according to my apps and my own dates I should ovulate Saturday. Out of curiosity I used one test this morning does this look ok should I start DTD tonight or wait another day or two? After a loss in August Im so nervous and really want this month to work

30yo TTC first child, I have Endometriosis and a very unregular cycle. Started using Clear Blue Ovulation digital test this month (never got a peak on the cheapo strips, been off pill for 2 years in November!)

Got my first flashing smiley on Wednesday followed by a static smiley very early Saturday morning , currently 3DPO according to premom, yet ovulating today according to Flo?!

The night before my static smiley, I had a twisting/pulling pain on my right side, which continued into the morning with a dragging feeling all day. Could this have been ovulation? Not many other symptoms yesterday/today.

I see some familiar names from previous threads. I just turned 40 in August and October will be our 4th cycle ttc number 1. I’m on CD2 today so just thinking about our strategy for this month!

I track my cycle using BBT which is good, but I’m still trying to get to grips with opk’s. I just can’t seem to catch the peak!

I had hormone testing done last year and it all looked good. A couple of things were a tiny bit outside of normal (but not the main hormones). So this month I’m focusing on exercising regularly as this can really help balance the hormones that were a little out.

I’m a planner, so not being able to control when/if I get pregnant feels stressful for me. I’ve been doing meditations focused on ttc with Headspace and they’re really good! That’s helped me relax a bit.

Looking forward to going through October with you all!

I’m currently cycle day 14. Usually ovulate around day 19 but got a higher than normal opk today. So thinking it might be sooner this cycle which would be good. Had a mmc in July which messed last month around a bit- I actually ovulated on day 21 last cycle. So if it’s in the next few days that will be a lot better. Don’t tend to have a big build up in tests. Just slightly higher one day and then peak. What do you think? Pic shows previous cycle for comparison too.

@Parks17 thar sounds like ovulation! My CB digital ovulation kit also doesn’t really fully align with what Flo says and Clue app is even further away!
I am focusing on the digital tests and discharge.

Thats my fertile window over and dtd as much as i could. Working nigjts tonigjt for the nedt three nights. Got my peak on a cheap o strip yday morning. Was doing SMEP before the peak i mangaed to dtd a few times after the rise yday including a sneaky one this morning 🤣 hoping its enough

New to these threads.

I got a peak fertility smiley face on 29th September so only 2dpo. Cycle 2 TTC baby #2. We got really lucky with #1 and conceived on our first month of trying. I was 33 then, now 37!

Going to try and wait until 18th October to test if AF doesn’t arrive by then as I will be on holiday! Which inevitably means I’ll be running to the loo every 5mins on hol to check if I’ve come on or not…
