Hey everyone moving over from the ttc sept 2024 thread. Very light start to period today. Expect to start tomorrow with negative pregancy tests. Thought id dip my toes in and start a wee thread.

Little bit about me. Im 35 years (soon to be 36 in oct...a birthday bfp would be lovely) been ttc since jan this year. This will now be cycle 10 for me. I have a 8 year old daughter with my ex and had to have ivf/icsi to have her due to his low sperm count. My new partner and i have been together now 2 and a half year and would love to extend our family.

So far i have had day 21 bloods which confirmed that i am ovulating and waiting to hear back regarding his SA results.

Thank you for reassuring me, I'll just have to wait and see I think. When I found out I was pregnant last time it was by accident using an ovulation test and then all of a sudden had smell aversions on the same day! This time I feel like I'm overthinking everything and am feeling much more aware of the situation Xx

I tested about 4 times a day when I was pregnant with my first 🤣🤣 I don’t know how people only test once I need the willpower! but I agree, I think that looks like an evap too. You’re definitely not being cruel xx

I don’t think I ovulated like I thought🙄🙄 think I need to wait for my period rather than hope to catch my first pp ovulation!

Well my TTC journey is being put on hold - just found out I'm being made redundant :( honestly devistated all i want is to be pregnant again after our loss last month!

How's everyone doing? I'm still getting flashy smiley faces (3 days of it) on clear blue ovulation so guessing I haven't ovulated yet but hopefully will in the next couple of days. Already dreading the TWW!

AF has arrived early for me. Should be ovulating again towards the end of next week 🤞Good luck everyone!

Think i can say i have my BFP! early response clear blue faint line yesterday morning then a cheap clear and simple strip test before bed last night even had the faintest of lines - can’t quite believe it yet. AF due Thurs/Fri so praying all goes okay🙌🏻

Just catching up.. this stood out as it's the same thing that happened to me with pregnacare. It made me 5 days late and I'm usually like clock work. I stopped right away and did the same as @Nicola1988

Folic, cq10 and vitamin D.

@AmberM223 congratulations 🥳 will you test again? Think last time I was pregnant I tried not to be obsessive but did maybe two a few until I got a 3+ on a digital.

First time using the premom at home strips and it says my LH is 0.51 (low) but the clearblue test has a flashing smiley which means peak right? Feeling a little confused on whether to dtd or whether it would be pointless? I'm not actually 100% sure what LH even means, this TTC stuff truly has me feeling like a scientist

I have only used pre mom when I tried to conceive for the first time and it worked. However you have to do a full cycle before you know your peak which they say is usually 1+, your peak might be coming in a few hours. It also rises when pregnant as I believe the test can’t differentiate between the two. I had an Lh of 1 4 weeks post MMC but my peak was 2 before that so no idea what’s going on,

@LifeonMarss def DTD now! Flashing smilies aren’t peak either it’s solid (I think) but you are fertile for about 3-5 days before you ovulate, but quickly become not fertile after you ovulate. So best to DTD in the days leading up to ovulation.

I have been a silent reader this month trying to learn lots but want to join in the convo! First cycle trying to conceive baby number 1. I have been off the pill for 18 months after 8 years on it, have been trying to get used to my cycle. I generally have 32-34 day cycles and ovulate D18. This month I had a high OPK D17, peak D18 which was Saturday. DTD D15,17,18. Then yesterday I had EWCM!!! I usually get that the day of my peak but I thought I was 3DPO? So DTD again last night. Confused now as to whether I’m 4DPO or 1DPO. Has anyone else had that?

anyway good luck everyone this is definitely a confusing journey & the unknown is scary! I’m also a midwife so surrounded by pregnancy. Hoping it is a smooth journey for us 😊

@CoolSummer89 thank you so much! i’m 14DPO today, got my positive at 12DPO - which was early! i got a negative at 12DPO with my first, not a single line till 17DPO so i’m shocked!!

Can I join 👋 I’ve had a read through the thread and searched A LOT on mumsnet since TTC 😂 I thought I might be in with some luck this month, but I got my AF two days ago so unfortunately I think i’m out. This will be cycle 4 for me. I had my coil out in May this year and my AF has been a lot shorter and lighter than before the coil… not sure if this is making a difference or not. But hoping we get our BFP before the end of the year 🤞 good luck everyone!
