TTC after loss part 5

Just continuing our old thread. I've added anyone who has asked to stay on here. As always, anyone who is trying after a loss is welcome to join and those who have been lucky since are welcome to encourage those who are still waiting for their rainbow (if you want to stay of course )

Also for the next thread, I'm going to let someone else take over creating the new one if people don't mind. I've a lot on at the moment with tests and I'm back to work in the next few weeks after my bereavement leave with my boys. So if anyone would like to take the mantle, feel free.

Im 2dpo today and have another ultrasound on Wednesday to see if follicle has burst followed by pdg blood test.

@DonnaWhat ahh amazing, so pleased for you. Thank you, I appreciate it a lot. Will definitely keep you posted x

Joining the thread, sorry we’re all part of this shit club!

I’ll do a (hopefully) quick summary of my journey so far.

Started TTC baby number 1 in January this year, had a chemical in March which I only discovered because I bled for 2 weeks which is not normal for me. Fell pregnant in May and found out I had a MMC in July treated with medical management. Period returned fairly quickly in August but since then my cycles have been absolutely baffling me.

First cycle was 26 days with quite a short luteal phase, second was 25 days but a longer luteal phase then my most recent cycle was only 21 days which was a bit of a shock. Started my period at what would have been 9dpo but started spotting at 6/7dpo.

I suppose my body is still recovering from the MC/medical management? I just don’t know what to do next. In my trust you have to have 3 miscarriages to have any additional investigation but realistically is it even possible to conceive with a luteal phase as short as 9/10 days? Just feeling a bit defeated by it all at the moment..

ApplesNest · 22/10/2024 23:32

I’ve been MIA for a while, mainly because I didn’t want to continue posting after the flurry of BFPs because I know that can be triggering. I haven’t caught up with all the posts yet but hoping you’re all doing okay and treating yourselves kindly especially in those frustrating moments where you need some self care to get you through the ups and downs.

Figtree11 · 23/10/2024 03:00

Welcome @Confusedmermaid1 I’m sorry for your losses. My last one was start of May and I’ve been having long cycles so I’m definitely still trying to regulate. I’ve no advice on the luteal phase I’m afraid as I’m not sure

@ApplesNest hope you are doing well

Just realised we’re on page 39 - is 1000 posts when a page is full? Will keep an eye on it as will need to make a new thread soon

I’m not sure when we’re full, if I’m honest I’m not even sure how to create a new thread.

welcome to the wide awake club.

I have so much going through my mind right now. CD8 today and last night before I came to bed I had weird cm, like almost EWCM except it was a creamy yellow colour - usually EWCM starts at cd12 and is completely clear.
DH is away for the night working on the motorway too so I think I’m worried about him so waking every 45 minutes or so to check he’s okay - im
terrified that something will happen to him as this is unusual work for him.

Figtree11 · 23/10/2024 03:47

@Ncl31 i woke up after dreaming about work & had to write a note about remembering to do something! An hour & a half later and here i am still…
I’m sorry that you’re awake worrying and that your DH is back before you know it. I know me saying it won’t help, but the motorways are so quiet at night I’m sure he will be fine. And that you manage to get some sleep.
Have you done any ovulation tests?

I’m happy to make a new thread, will do a new one soon

Ncl31 · 23/10/2024 04:18

@Figtree11 ah yes I’m pleased he’s working during the night as it is quieter, I think because he’s away from home too I just worry. He’s just text to say he’s back at the hotel now which is good. I usually start OPKs at cd8 so will do one today I guess. My period was weird too, I had a single episode of the worst cramp in the world then 2 days of moderate flow before it disappeared again. Maybe just an off cycle.

CadoAvo · 23/10/2024 10:04

@Figtree11 @DonnaWhat thanks ladies. I've tested today and it's a BFN. My app says I'm 10dpo but I think I'm 9dpo so still early days. Trying to keep hopeful. If it's not this month then my body has been playing awful tricks on me 😅

Figtree11 · 23/10/2024 18:03

@Ncl31 i’m glad he’s ok. Hope you got to sleep in the end. I’ve felt awful all day while surviving on about 4 hours sleep!
Hope the positive ovulation comes soon

@CadoAvo sorry about the bfn, hopefully it’s just too early yet. It’s frustrating what our bodies do to us

Figtree11 · 24/10/2024 07:03

Well that’s me out again this time. AF due tomorrow and got the usual pre period spotting & cramping

PearlCat · 24/10/2024 07:15

@Figtree11 sending a big hug and hope you are treating yourself. Also due tomorrow/Saturday and also feeling this as well. It's horrible, I sobbed my heart out yesterday with it being the due date Saturday too. How do we not live month by month.. totally exhausting...

Thank you everyone for your kind words and being so lovely.. having this community really helps. Xxx

Figtree11 · 24/10/2024 07:29

Thank you @PearlCat I’ve just had a cry. I’m just fed up of this being my life for the past year with no end in sight. And worried about why I could get pregnant so easily before but not now.
I’m sorry that you are feeling similar. Sending you a big hug for Saturday xx

Ella31 · 24/10/2024 08:01

Hope you are doing well ladies. Just checking in and out sporadically these days.

Sorry @Figtree11 just saw your update😞

@CadoAvo @Ncl31 hope ye are ok

So sorry 😞 sending big hugs ❤️

CadoAvo · 24/10/2024 08:29

Took two tests today which are both showing a faint line, but can actually see them without squinting! First was a cheap easy at home then dipped again with a CB early detection 🤞🏼

I can definitely see these! Tentative congratulations ❤️ xx

Superscientist · 24/10/2024 09:01

I'm sorry about AF @Figtree11 . So something nice for yourself, take a few days to feel disappointed and go from there.

Oh @CadoAvo I can see them too, fingers crossed things work out for you. It looks promising.

I'm due my period on Sunday starting to get a bit gurgly so not optimistic. I'm trying to stay busy.

jellyfish2 · 24/10/2024 09:14

@Figtree11 I'm so sorry 😔 you've had such a tough road, I hope it gets easier for you and you get a BFP soon. Sending love 🤍

@CadoAvo congratulations 🥰

moosey89 · 24/10/2024 11:12

My period is late and teasing me with spotting but I know it's coming....it's killing me 😞 just want it here so I can move into a new cycle.

Figtree11 · 24/10/2024 13:33

@Ella31 @ThelastRolo20 @jellyfish2 thank you ladies. It’s so nice of you to check in with me still. Had a feeling it wouldn’t work this month, but I just feel so down. Not sure how much more of it all I can take.

@CadoAvo great news

@moosey89 i’m sorry, it truly sucks

@Superscientist thank you xx I’m sorry it feels like AF is on the way for you too

@Figtree11 you are a beacon of kindness for many here past and present who have had rough days so we'll do the same for you. You'll get your rainbow day xxx it's a horrible road to be on. I fell very fast with my mc's and my late twin boys. Took 8 months with no lines ever for this baby. It can take time. But until it happens I know those words are meaningless

Thank you, that made me well up. Couldn’t have done all this without you. And all you other ladies. The support & understanding makes the world of difference xx

Starry11 · 24/10/2024 16:54

Joining the thread, hope you’re all okay.

I’m 12dpo today and have been testing positive since 9dpo. 12dpo test photo is attached.

Im really worried as when I woke up this morning I had light brown stringy discharge (tmi sorry) and I’m worried this will be a chemical. I’ve had two miscarriages (dec23 and August 24) but they have been MMCs with no bleeding. My lines have been getting darker everyday but can’t shake the worried feeling now, and I was already feeling really stressed due to my previous mcs. Has anyone had line progression and brown discharge?

Spoke to EPU to ask for progesterone but unfortunately as I’m in Scotland (Edinburgh) they wouldn’t prescribe me as I’ve not had 3 losses, which was really gutting. I am taking baby aspirin though.

Thanks so much.
