TTC after loss part 5

Just continuing our old thread. I've added anyone who has asked to stay on here. As always, anyone who is trying after a loss is welcome to join and those who have been lucky since are welcome to encourage those who are still waiting for their rainbow (if you want to stay of course )

Also for the next thread, I'm going to let someone else take over creating the new one if people don't mind. I've a lot on at the moment with tests and I'm back to work in the next few weeks after my bereavement leave with my boys. So if anyone would like to take the mantle, feel free.

Im 2dpo today and have another ultrasound on Wednesday to see if follicle has burst followed by pdg blood test.

Thank you @Ella31 ❤️

@CadoAvo i hope this is a lucky cycle for you. Having a busy weekend is always good, although I’m sorry it’s under sad grounds that your friend is over

@EmTTC2 i’m so sorry. Life can be cruel x

Hi Guys, just checking in. I stepped back for a little while to try and free the mind. I think I’m just tipping onto a positive LH so should be ovulating at any point. Congratulations to the people who have had the positives. I’m also sending my heart to the ones who have lost. No matter which group you’re falling into trying, not trying, loss, pregnancy. Please please be kind to yourselves. Xx

I'm sorry @EmTTC2
It sounds like your GP is on your side. I hope you get a plan for next time
My epu offer have offered me progesterone after 1 miscarriage so hopefully you can get it after 2

Be gentle with yourself x

Thank you. It's just the not knowing at the moment. If she comes back to me soon & says she'll give me it then I'll relax a bit x

Hi everyone. Unfortunately, I've had my second loss in 7 weeks. Gp phoned. She looked at all the charts, blood results, positive tests that I sent her. She thinks it looks like a low progesterone issue. She was lovely & said she'd put in an urgent referral to gynaecology for their advice. She said that if I fall pregnant then she might be able to issue progesterone under their advice if they ok it. She said they may not see me themselves after 2 losses this year as She thinks the threshold may be 3, but she's going to get back to me on what they say & we'll take it from there x

I'm so sorry. There are no words. I've been put on progesterone so if you need any advice, please reach out.

The pain of a loss after another one... 😔 I am sorry it happened to you.
I had an early loss then I had a CP the next cycle. I think it was very likely to be caused by low progesterone because my body was still recovering from the 1st MC. There is no way to find out the cause.
If you are not qualified to get progesterone, then there is a way to boost progesterone naturally. I took vitamin E, B6, C, Selenium and Beetroot extract. Also I ate 3 brazil nuts every day for the whole luteal phase. x

moosey89 · 24/08/2024 13:21

Dammit why did I even bother testing, I always tell everyone else not to test early yet here I am being the biggest hypocrite!! 9dpo, bfn. Feeling so awful about it all this month, and feeling extra pressure as there's all that colloquial evidence of women conceiving in the 3 cycles following an HSG/hycosy, and this is my second so only one more of that time frame and I know already it's just not going to happen like that for me, I'm not that lucky 😓

Hi everyone I'd love to join if that's OK. We've been ttc since June 2022 and I received a diagnosis of APS in June this year after 4 early losses. I haven't had a bfp in a year now so feel ready to give up. Just feel like we are doing something wrong because we are eating healthier now and taking better supplements than we were before and now we don't seem to be able to get a bfp at all

Babydust99 · 24/08/2024 15:05

@EmTTC2 I'm so sorry you have had to go through this again. Unfortunately I know only too well how it feels. Hope you are getting the support you need but if there's anything I can do to help, let me know

Hi @Babydust99 my dad possibly had APS. He had a test after having a stroke about 10 years ago. He was on warfarin for 8 years when they retested his phospholipids were normal so he's now just on aspirin. I did quite a lot for reading when he was diagnosed and then prior to ttc my daughter. I found the sticky blood book (I think that was what it was called anyway) quite helpful.
Have they done any investigations to see if there is anything else going on. I can't imagine how hard it must have been to go through reoccurring losses and then struggling to conceive.
Do you have much emotional support at the moment?

Babydust99 · 24/08/2024 20:47

@Superscientist no they havent done any additional tests so I am paying to see a specialist next month. They just sent me home with a script for aspirin to start immediately and blood thinning injections for when I next get a bfp. I want to know if it is primary or secondary incase something is causing it. I've not heard of the sticky blood book I will try and find it. I have lots of support from my mum and dp thankfully

Edited

Still waiting to hear back from the doctor, but in the meantime im taking vitex 1200mg, vitamin c 1000mg, vitamine E 1000mg, magnesium glycinate 600mg, coq10 600mg, proceive max, vitamin B6 200mg, 5mg folic acid, vitamin D 4000iu, omega 3 with DHA 2000mg. If that doesn't raise my progesterone then the only thing left will be progesterone x

The extra supplements should be good enough to raise your progesterone. Fingers crossed! x

I really hope so. I'm trying my very best. I've also lost 2 stone 3 pounds over the last few months via weight Watchers. Trying everything I can think of x

Thank you so much. The GP has been fantastic. I honestly can't fault her. Just waiting to hear back from her now, but hopefully gynaecology allow her to prescribe me progesterone x

Thank you so much. Also, sorry for your losses. It's so hard when you do your very best and all you want is your baby in your arms, but it doesn't end up that way. All we can do is keep positive & keep trying x

@EmTTC2 I'm sorry to see you have lost your baby. Don't give up hope. I had an mmc in march, a chemical in june and I'm currently pregnant again so anything is possible. Don't feel that you're ever alone. We are all here to support you.

@moosey89 yes, 9dpo is early. You're not out until af arrives. Xxx

Thanks for giving me hope. Delighted to hear that you are pregnant again & all is going well. Did the GP give you progesterone or do anything different this time? Just looking for anything to cling on to at the moment x

Ladyinpink1 · 24/08/2024 22:56

I'm really sorry about the bfn @moosey89 it is so hard to see no 2nd line isn't it. I think most of us tell ourselves no testing, but it's so hard to do, especially if you have your hopes up. Hoping you get good news very soon x
