Hi ladies!
CD 1 for me today, so I’m moving over from the July thread and starting this one (don’t think there is already one).
Anyone else now ttc for a BFP in August??

@ttcjourney20001 haha I would hate that too! A close family member also has the exact same due date (bit of a tough pill to swallow to watch though) so sort of morbidly glad that they won't have to share a birthday / Christmas!

I believe my due date would be 26th April according to conception date! I'm also weirdly hoping I'll have twins lol

When do you plan on testing? I found this TWW really slow for some reason

My friend with a January birthday absolutely hates as nobody wants to go out for her birthday!

I have another close friend, she was pregnant the same time as I was (resulted in a loss for me at 8weeks) and our babies would've been 6 weeks apart - hers was born in May and mine would've been born in July - was a bittersweet moment, but so happy for her. Just want it to be my turn. I'm only 2dpo, I've got a little bit of an issue, I'm a serial tester, just waste money on so many tests so I've decided to only test after my period is due, I've got 10 days left til it arrives. I don't feel any symptoms so far. Trying not to symptom spot. Last time I was pregnant I had a nagging feeling we conceived. Much to my shock we did!!!

@Zo85 my birthdays on 9th of April, always in the Easter holidays, on my 21st birthday, Easter landed on my birthday and it was a bank holiday - you could only imagine the scenes 🤣🤣🤣 can't remember much of that night

Yeah, said to my DH earlier I’m definitely not pregnant as I just knew with our first. ☹️

My partners birthday is in October, mines in April, I'd love a little spring baby - 10 more days to wait! Trying not to symptom spot and trying to remain calm. Putting pressure on myself isn't helping - but ever since MMC in December, I'm only yearning for a baby more, hopefully it'll happen soon. Seems so easy for other women to conceive. Feel like I'm doing something wrong. I hear stories of my friends conceiving after trying their first cycle. I'm only 23, it's taken nearly 2 years of unprotected s*x to conceive - and it ended up in a loss. Seems so easy for everyone else. Frustrates me a little as I want one so bad but it's so difficult for us

@Zo85 I had no idea we conceived back then. We moved house, I moved jobs, and I was too busy to even think about getting pregnant. We were outside home bargains one night and I said to my partner Jack "I think I'm pregnant" as id been experiencing late night sickness and headaches, and he said "love you always say this but you never are" which is true, the slightest symptoms and Id be like "I'm pregnant" but never was. something was telling me to test, so I bought a test and I got home and did it straight away, Jack was downstairs not expecting anything and I just froze. I was shaking so much when I saw those lines. I was speechless (which is crazy for me cos I can talk for wales) and we were both like oh my god this is actually happening. So saddening it ended in a loss. we were so ready

@ttcjourney20001 our due date would be 2nd May if we have conceived! Our daughters birthday is 10th May 😅 so if we are pregnant May will be an expensive month 😂

My dads birthday is on the 8th of May, and my brother Aidan, his birthday 19th of May, and my boyfriends dad's birthday is on 2nd of May too, very expensive month to say the least 🙈

@ttcjourney20001 bittersweet for sure! Also a serial tester but I have SO many easy@home cheap strips because they come with the ovulation strips 😂 last time
I was pregnant, I took 25+ tests 😥 20 of them were the cheap strips though and I did it from about 1dpo out of excitement because it was my first month TTC. And then I got obsessed with line progression.

I'm waiting until 10dpo to do a digital ultra early though!

The months feel longer when someone else is pregnant because you're so desperate for it to happen so I'm right there with you ❤️ and a MC makes it difficult because it was in your grasp 🫶

What's your daughter's name? I always struggle to find names I like.
I absolutely love the names Felicity, Lois and Saoirse, but can see myself growing bored. My partner and I agreed on the name Sadie, but I think he's more into the name than I am.
For a boy we like Harry or Macsen, possibly Jude but it's becoming very popular, such a huge decision

Last time I was pregnant I took so many tests too. I was watching my lines get darker, until one night I was in the shower, Jack was in Thailand visiting his mum (she moved out there) and I was doing an "everything shave" and a little blood tissue came out and I just froze again. Begged for God (never done that in my life) not to take my baby away from me, from there it just went downhill. Was too scared to go toilet because I knew clots would pass. Horrible experience, worst part was what people said afterwards. "At least you know you can get pregnant" or "maybe it wasn't the right time" I know they meant well but I don't want to hear it. Hoping for a sticky baby

@ttcjourney20001 so sorry that happened to you- especially with your partner not there!
The fear of going to the toilet was so real! Glad I wasn't the only one.

I used to wipe and wipe and wipe. I was getting sore from wiping but ultimately we have to remember there's absolutely nothing we can do as crap as that is.

But all we can do is keep trying! My journey hasn't been long but it's been so hard and mentally draining.

I started doing CBT (talking therapy) a few months ago and it seems to have helped. It was mainly about my feelings of feeling like a failure/letting people down but it was good to just chat it out to a third person so would recommend if you are struggling at any point!

Haha, my MIL said to me 'it will happen' and I just told her not to say that to me because we just don't know. My only experience of pregnancy is loss, I don't know if I can have a full term pregnancy!

I was absolutely fine going to the toilet at first, but soon as I saw blood I'd refuse to go toilet or even move, as every time I moved, there'd be more clots. So I sat in the same position for hours hoping it would help, but it's just my body going into protection mode trying to salvage itself. My dad told me not to count my chicken too much or some silly saying like that. Last thing I wanna hear is how I "can conceive but it's not the right time" loss shouldn't happen at all. Hoping for some baby dust this year

@ttcjourney20001 you got this! if it helps (and if my e@h is indeed an early positive), none of my symptoms were the same as last time. Last time I had cramps and didn't really
get that this time round, more just really tender boobs for the past couple of days but nothing that stood out to me!

@ttcjourney20001 sorry for your loss. I know that phrase, I had a mmc a few years ago and my mum said ‘at least you know you can get pregnant’. I know she meant well but it’s not nice to hear.

I will add I did go on to have ds after the mmc. So so thankful that my second pregnancy continued. I’m now on ttc#2.

I've been a serial tester this month. Period due Tuesday or Wednesday but no sign of AF as of yet. Usually I start cramping. Haven't tested for a few days. Should I do a test tomorrow?? I have a clear blue. As of yet I've only been doing the cheapies with negatives every time x

Think I'm 1dpo today.
I got my peak Thursday and then yesterday I had a sharp stabby ovulation pain and some lingering cramps pain on that side today so the looooong tww begins.

Wow just catching up on this thread having been busy the last week, so many positive posts whether it's a BFP, faint line and some progress with charting and symptom spotting. Let's hope there's lots more baby dust the rest of August! Congratulations everyone who's pregnant and those progressing on the ttc journey
