Currently TTC number 2 and struggling after getting pregnant fairly easily with number 1 (on cycle 3)!
Thought I'd start a thread so we can all support each other. Anyone else on their TTC journey for number 2? I am currently on cycle 7 and have ruled myself out already as negative pregnancy test at 10DPO. Each month I convince myself that I am pregnant! Experienced a chemical at cycle 3 😩

@NattyPeer I think they're very similar! I took pregnacare throughout my last pregnancy but only switched as I was feeling quite sick after taking them. You have to take 2 proceive capsules.

I'm 12dpo today. It's annoying because I get all the symptoms like sore boobs, tired etc but those are to do with my period coming and not pregnancy.

My husband is so chilled about it all, I wish I was the same! I find myself getting more worried with each month that passes because we conceived our son without even trying and I assumed I would fall pregnant quickly again. How wrong I was!!

Ahhhh ok! I don’t feel sick after taking them but don’t like taking them as hate taking tablets haha!

I am the same get all the “symptoms” but they are just PMS symptoms. It’s all very confusing!

I am only 4dpo so I am somewhat behind you!

Hey, hope it's ok for me to join! I'm 8dpo & stupidly did a test - obvs negative! Got pregnant accidentally with my first & some how thought it would be easy trying for number 2!

Is anyone else as obsessed as me at doing tests? I cannot stop 🤣🫠

@loveyababesx hey, I know exactly how you feel! It's really hard to hold off testing. It's still early days though, fingers crossed!

@NattyPeer I'm 13dpo, expecting my period on Friday. Did another test today and it was negative! Onto the next cycle.

Will you start testing soon?

@RoseA89 yep, especially when you've got a load of the cheap ones hanging about. Did another this morning & it's negative again :(

@loveyababesx I know! I'll do the cheap ones and when it comes up negative, I tell myself they're not reliable and I might still be pregnant 😂 it's awful!

I was going to test this morning but I've woken up with such bad cramps I didn't see the point.
Pmdd in full swing, absolutely raging at everything today and 2 close friends have just told me theyre pregnant which is killing me.

September was 1st cycle but we only decided to TTC the day before ovulation. So it feels like we just got the OPKs done so now this cycle I know when we need to have sex.

Ahhh im so so sorry. A friend told me she was unexpectedly (but happily) pregnant while we were judging and it “just happened” for her made me really upset. I felt better once a new cycle started

its soo hard when people close to you tell you they are pregnant, you are happy but at the same time feel so sad it isn't happening for you don’t you!

I really feel like its AF.
I'm crampy and bloated. One of my boobs hurt
Feels very much like the start of my period.
Last few cycles have been 26 days, 29 days, 23 days, 26 days, 24 days
So they're a little all over the show.
I'm cd 27 today. Bit sure how many dpo as I missed a couple days of opks but id guess between 10-12

It's so tough. I'm so happy for them. Im sure I'll feel better in a few days when I'm not in the thick of pmdd 😂😂😂

And I'm spotting so fully expecting to wake up to my period. Best go fetch out my period pants for the night 😂

@RoseA89 oh I know, what are we like 🤣 I'm 9dpo today & I feel like I'm about to come on my period even though I'm not due for 6 days, I've got horrible cramps! Symptom spotting and testing like a mad woman! I'm only on cycle 3, but it feels like longer already! How about you?

@NattyPeer I always tell myself I'm going to be full this month & then get the tests out with a magnifying glass at 8dpo 🤣 on cycle 3. How about you?

haha I am the same try to leave it longer but can’t help myself, other half had to start hiding the tests from me 🤣

sadly this is cycle 10 for me with two chemicals. Hoping I will get pregnant again and it will be third time lucky 🍀

@NattyPeer oh sorry to hear that lovely, it's so disheartening isn't it? They tell us our whole lives that we must take contraception to avoid pregnancy, but nobody tells you how hard it is to actually get pregnant!

I guess in a way I feel lucky I have one, but it doesn't feel any less disappointing every time it's negative!

Do you use ovulation sticks? Think I'm going to invest in some next cycle. I managed to cover pretty much my whole fertile period though, so probs no point but I'll try anything at this point! X

I couldn't believe it when it took a year to get pregnant with my first. We had a miscarriage in that time too.
Whereas my supposedly infertile sil got pregnant by accident.

I've been trying to conceive properly since may/june time
BUT it turned out that I actually hadn't been on contraception since Jan 23, I had a coil fitted but when I went to get removed Jan this yr it was missing and turned out it perforated my womb, I had it surgically removed and had to wait 2 cycles before I "tried" to get pregnant (we just used cycle timing tbh and risked it as there was no incision or damage to Mt womb, it was more to let my other inscision sites heal)
So going by that it's been over 18 months which I'm really struggling with as I thought if we were going to get pregnant it would have been when I thought I was on a contraceptive and actually wasn't you know?
We naturally have more sex in my fertile period as it always ramps up my sex drive!

Ahhh I'm sorry it's such a rough journey for you :( My husband is always reminding me we have really no control over the whole process, aside from having sex, there's literally nothing we can do to make fertilization happen, or make a pregnancy stick. I find it frustrating sometimes but know he's right haha.

Anyway I hope AF shows up soon for you so you can move onto the next cycle, and not be waiting for ages <3

@SkaterChick do you know what, I had a lap at 18 and I got told I was infertile & I would need IVF to have a baby. At the time I was a bit upset, but I thought sod it it's not on my radar any time soon. I never used contraception with any of my boyfriends or my now husband & fast forward 14 years I found out I was pregnant (4 months before my wedding). I have heard that it happens a lot, so no idea why they tell people that, they should maybe say it would be harder I don't know?

Sorry to hear you've been trying 18 months, it takes over your life doesn't it? I'm only on cycle 3, but considering I didn't get pregnant for 14 years I don't think it will happen any time soon. Not like I was trying, but still.

I see you've not come on your period yet, so there's still hope! I did a test this morning with a boots early response & I've realised I hate those tests as they show up with a line for the first 5 mins then it disappears 😖

Welcome everyone new! Popping back on to say I’m still here… I think this is cycle 10 or 11 I’ve lost count. Had a hycosy last month so this is the first cycle trying post hycosy. I’m 9dpo or something and am sure I’m out this month just based on heart rate and symptoms or lack thereof. Our doctor’s optimistic and has said to try for a few more before thinking of IVF… hang in there everyone!
