Currently TTC number 2 and struggling after getting pregnant fairly easily with number 1 (on cycle 3)!
Thought I'd start a thread so we can all support each other. Anyone else on their TTC journey for number 2? I am currently on cycle 7 and have ruled myself out already as negative pregnancy test at 10DPO. Each month I convince myself that I am pregnant! Experienced a chemical at cycle 3 😩

Hey. Please can I join? I’m 33, got a 2.5 year old. Trying for #2 and had surgery for missed miscarriage back in March…. Chemical in June. My body is trying but not been lucky yet! Currently 2 or 3 DPO I think. Got my static smiley on clear blue ov tests Sunday morning….

Firstly, I am so sorry to hear about you MMC and chemical. I hear you about the body trying and not been lucky, very much in the same boat! Ohhh exciting re the static smiley, I have only just finished AF so I’m some way behind you.

How long have you been TTC?

@NattyPeer yeah it’s frustrating isn’t it…. I guess some reassurance that my body got pregnant but it was a horrid day going for an early scan and seeing no heartbeat…. I had all the symptoms too and was so nauseous so have no faith in people saying the more sick the better!
So it was 4 months and then got pregnant with the MMC and then this is now cycle 3 after that…. I know it’s nothing compared to some… a friend has just got pregnant naturally after 2.5 years but I just have a few sad days when I see that negative test.

I am so so sorry, that is absolutely heartbreaking. I will keep you in my prayers and fingers crossed for this cycle for both of us! You say this but you have gone through a lot, so please don’t ever feel like your feelings and emotions are not valid as they totally are. There will always be someone worse off but it doesn’t mean you can’t feel sad.

I definitely have some sad days too as literally everyone around me seems to be pregnant. I feel like it’s my body failing. I feel bad for being sad as like you have said there are people in worse positions but it doesn’t make our feeling invalid so we must remember that. We must also try to be positive where we can! What do you like doing to keep your mind off things where possible?

I just did an afternoon test at 6dpo…. Honestly what was I thinking 😂😂 what a waste of money!

Hey ladies how is everyone doing?
I've taken some time away from mn after last month wild ride.
I'm cd9 already, only faint lines on the opks so far so hopefully get a peak in next few days.
Slight bit of ewcm this afternoon which is a good sign too!

Still plenty of time! Way too early 🤣

Heyyy! All ok here I’m cycle day 9 today! When do you usually peak? That’s a good sign!

Sometimes you just need that break away don’t you.

@NattyPeer same old! Should be ovulating in the next few days but honestly who knows. Have most definitely lost all optimism…!

initial fertility checks reveal everything’s fine but we might be doing somemore. If nothings happened by October time then I think we’re going down the ivf route!

@NattyPeer well it had been around cd10 but last month was cd 15. Faint but slightly darker opk today and more ewcm. I usually get a good 3/4 days of ewcm sometimes more so hopefully in the next few days!

8dpo today and a very negative test. Getting that disappointed feeling….. eugh!! I was feeling lucky this month.

Hi everyone. Slowly approaching my ovulation date. Feel ok, although, husband and I haven't BD for 4 weeks which is really unusual for us. Anyone else experience this after their first active attempt to fall pregnant?

Have you got the Premom app? It shows your peak if you log your ovulation sticks. I have done my first OPK today and it's showing 0.47 and I'm CD11!
Husband has categorically said to keep the testing and results etc to myself because he experiences too much pressure from it...

You guys might find me blabbing on, on here as don't have anyone else to talk through it with 😂

@beansread yes I use premom.
Got my peak this evening, im yet to log in premom as doing bedtime but the lines are same colour. So weird because when TTC my first I never got a peak ever!!
Hopefully we can dtd when child goes to sleep or we'll do it tomorrow 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Eurgh the gremlin just didn't want to go to sleep this evening and dh is bloody asleep 🙄🙄 he's been having loads of trouble sleeping recently so I can't wake him up.
Hopefully the cat will or we can dtd tomorrow and Friday 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Can I join? I’m 2 dpo and will be testing next Thursday. We had planned to BD the day of peak and 2 days after, but a sickness bug got my hubby and we ended up BD on O-3 O-1 and O+1. Depending on if I got timings right. Not really sure about it.

do you try to time BD for more pre peak and peak day? The more I read BD once ovulation has happened is a bit late?

@MrsKurz sounds like you covered it went. I think ovulation day or day after can still be good.

we did 5 days in a row over peak/ovulation and it still didn’t work so I wouldn’t worry too much about the fact your hubby had sickness bug. I’ve had my 24 hour moan about how frustrating this in…. On to the next cycle soon!

I BD every single day for 5 days leading up to predicted ovulation, the 3 days over ovulation and 2 days post ovulation and it didn't stick...

This month I didn't even know I was anywhere near ovulation and BD last night for fun. Tested OPK this morning and it's strong! Will probably BD tonight but not going to stress about it any more after that.

Hey @MrsKurz welcome! I just try and do it every 2-3 days leading up to ovulation, day of ovulation and then 2 days after! I was reading the sperm meets egg theory, have you heard of it?

Oh just seen you got your peak, good news! I’m not even in the TWW yet and haven’t got my peak yet, I expect to get it in 6 days so I’m far behind you all 🤣

Haven’t experienced this in the first few months but as the months go by the enthusiasm definitely decreases and my motivation certainly has decreased haha!

Did you manage it yesterday? Ahhh yes, my gremlin has also been difficult sleeping these days which then makes things more difficult because it gets so late!!!!

Sadly not.
I was gagging for it as well 🤣🤣🤣🤣 so frustrating.
I peed and forgot to do my opk when I got home a minute ago so I've left one out to do a bit later.
I don't tend to tell dh what the opks say cause he finds it to much pressure.
