Currently TTC number 2 and struggling after getting pregnant fairly easily with number 1 (on cycle 3)!
Thought I'd start a thread so we can all support each other. Anyone else on their TTC journey for number 2? I am currently on cycle 7 and have ruled myself out already as negative pregnancy test at 10DPO. Each month I convince myself that I am pregnant! Experienced a chemical at cycle 3 😩

@LemonBitter it's absolutely killing me 😅 if my tests are still negative tomorrow in going to lose the plot 🤣😅

LemonBitter · 27/07/2024 18:38

@SkaterChick it's so stressful isn't it.. are you three days late did you say? Just scrolled back and the first proper line I had was the 18th and my period was due 15th?

SkaterChick · 27/07/2024 18:45

@LemonBitter this is my tracking calendar....
I'm CD29 - All cycles since periods returned have been 22-26 days (almost 2 years)
I'm 13dpo according to premom based on my opks (opk peak on CD14)

I got clear positive at 10dpo with my first 2 😅

I definitely see a faint line there! 😄

Thank you! I’m so hopeful but I also took a FRER and it was rubbish!!! Fingers crossed the cheapie one is darker tomorrow and I also have a clear blue

LemonBitter · 27/07/2024 21:18

@SkaterChick it is a mystery but it could be a good mystery... any AF signs this evening?

SkaterChick · 27/07/2024 21:22

@LemonBitter nope none. No spotting today, no cramps, just flitting between being very nauseous and wanting to eat everything. I've also been really thirsty but could be cause it's warm. I've also had hiccups after everything I've eaten today 🤣🤣🤣 not sure if that's if any relation hahah

Mummio92 · 28/07/2024 05:59

@beansread that looks more positive than the last one you posted so I think it’s moving in the right direction. When it’s such early days the amount of water you drink and how long it’s been since you went to the loo make a huge difference to line darkness.

@SkaterChick I’ve read lots about people not getting a line until after 14dpo (how long is your luteal phase usually? That part of the cycle typically stays stable even if overall length varies). Being super thirsty has been a pregnancy sign for me both times but it’s hard when af signs and pregnancy are so bloody similar! Keeping fingers crossed for you.

@NoRoTrio agree that I can see a hint of something. I have personally found cheapy sticks to give me my earliest shadow even if frer is negative, not sure why as they’re supposedly not as sensitive

NoRoTrio · 28/07/2024 06:43

Thanks mummio….
This mornings result ! 🥰 feels surreal!!

So I really messed up actually and I'm so annoyed at myself 😂

On both of my faint positive pregnancy tests, I had done an ovulation test also (apparently it gets darker when your period is due to a surge). I had been putting them together to compare the lines coming up and the ovulation strip ink had leaked to the pregnancy strip and therefore given a faint positive. I literally watched it happen this morning, did another pregnancy strip and didn't compare and it's negative 🤪

I honestly feel like such a silly. It doesn't explain the very faint Morrisons test I got on Wednesday, it could still be on but I'm less hopeful now 🥹

SkaterChick · 28/07/2024 08:30

Woke up to my period this morning.
That was a wild ride and I'm hoping next month wont be so crazy and drawn out 😅

@Mummio92 usually ovulate early, like couple days after my period but my cycles have all been short .. 22-26 days to LP is probably an average of 10-12 days
Guess we'll see what happens next month

Period arrived for me too!

We go again 🥰

LemonBitter · 28/07/2024 17:25

Omg @beansread I never would have thought that could happen that's crazy!! At least there's an explanation..

Sorry AF has arrived but at least you have certainty I guess...

@SkaterChick I'm hoping for a more "normal" cycle for you and hopefully a BFP at the end of it 🤞🏻

Hi all, mind if I join? Had two MMC trying to conceive number 2 after a relatively easy time for number 1. Oh and PCOS to add into the mix…

Hey, of course the more the merrier! There are so many messages flying around that I nearly missed yours! I am so sorry to hear you have had two MMC, it’s not easy! I have had two early losses and just wondering will it ever be my time! How many months have you been TTC?

@beansread I definitely see that line!!

@SkaterChick that's so strange. I guess all you can do is test every morning - you're not out yet!!

@NattyPeer how are you doing lovely?xx

Hey @LemonBitter all ok here, still waiting for AF to show up. So like the others I am having a weird cycle but definitely not pregnant!

how are you doing lovely?

@SkaterChick sorry to hear AF has showed up! What a wild ride indeed! Hopefully next month will be the one 🤞 and hopefully we can all have some normal circles!!!! How are you feeling?

OP posts:
LemonBitter · 28/07/2024 20:38

Ahhh sorry @NattyPeer - really hope August is the month for you guys, I'll hang around to see if you don't mind ☺️

Yeah all good here, still so early so not properly sinking in yet - if everything stays as is I think I might go for an early scan around 9 weeks just to check there is something there 😬

NattyPeer · 28/07/2024 20:42

@LemonBitter yes please stick around! I’m sure many of us will be looking for advice haha! May I ask what the routine was for this month that you fell pregnant? And if you were taking any prenatal vitamins? ☺️

OP posts:
LemonBitter · 28/07/2024 20:57

Really hoping August is another good month!!

No prenatal vitamins (I read some stuff on here about them messing up your cycles, although I did use Pregnacare with my first and fell first month so 🤷🏼‍♀️).

I didn't find my peak for the last two cycles but I suspect it was around CD 15/16. We DTD 13,14,15,16 (and not one other time the whole cycle as that was more than enough 😂).

Not sure if any of that is helpful xxx

I know I wasn’t asked but the few times I’ve been lucky enough to conceive I used conceive plus the gel - the wee insert ones. I’m not sure if that made any difference, we also just timed sex one day for before I thought I’d get the positive and then the day of my positive ooo and the next day (three days in a row annoying but that was all we did)
I drank a lot of water leading up to ovulation too. Normally it takes us a few months but I got my husband on pre natal as this time (haven’t given them to him before in cycle) and it happen first month for us this time which I couldn’t believe !

Yes I did ! Just the pregnacare (but I’ve taken them on other cycles and it taken a few months for us to fall pregnant then too) xx
