Currently TTC number 2 and struggling after getting pregnant fairly easily with number 1 (on cycle 3)!
Thought I'd start a thread so we can all support each other. Anyone else on their TTC journey for number 2? I am currently on cycle 7 and have ruled myself out already as negative pregnancy test at 10DPO. Each month I convince myself that I am pregnant! Experienced a chemical at cycle 3 😩

@Mummio92 I like to see it progress from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks to 3+ 😅. Thanks, I have really really severe emetophobia so dread the nausea and sickness but we will see what happens! They do say every pregnancy is different!

LemonBitter · 18/07/2024 11:38

@Mummio92 that would be so nice to have birthdays near to each other - hopefully it's a sign!

I'm thinking of trying a digital tomorrow, don't have the guts to do it today. Also hoping if it does stick that the sickness etc isn't too bad. With the first one you go in blind don't you but now I know what's coming 😂😬

Mummio92 · 18/07/2024 14:29

@LemonBitter I think my af was due tomorrow, so once that’s passed I think I can fully accept I’m pregnant then and maybe get a digi at that point!

Haha yes blissful ignorance last time.

@HRHXO ahh that’s so hard! I work in perinatal healthcare so I am very familiar with sickness & emetophobia and just how tough that can be.

LemonBitter · 18/07/2024 15:04

@Mummio92 good idea ☺️ I'm saving my digital for tomorrow as well!

Pandamonium04 · 18/07/2024 15:53

@Fairy0708 mine’s 3 in November! We’ve been trying for 8 months now :/ and honestly thought we’d be pregnant by now! We “tried” for four months for our first. I just spoke with my therapist who said she thinks my body remembers the trauma of the first birth and is protecting me by not going through it again… :/ we’re also awaiting fertility testing results!

Fairy0708 · 18/07/2024 16:34

@Pandamonium04 ah that's very interesting. I've come to the conclusion that the universe has a plan and that if the timing isn't right then it won't happen until it is! My colleague said with her first she got her bfp while waiting for IVF and her second was immediate 🤷

I've agonised over the age gaps but there are some days where I'm like actually it may be better financially and logistically for my family so who knows!

Pandamonium04 · 18/07/2024 17:48

@Fairy0708 I know! I am still optimistic about a 3.5-4y age gap and wouldn’t be too fussed if it were larger to be honest. The hardest thing is the uncertainty. If someone told me I’d only have my second in three years from now, I’d be perfectly happy and really treasure the next three years of my daughter being the only.

I am so glad to hear your son is all ok now!

LemonBitter · 18/07/2024 18:32

On the age gap thing, if this one sticks our gap will be 6 years and honestly I think there are lots of positives ☺️

It is the uncertainty though isn't it it's just awful. I'm sorry you had such a bad birth experience @Pandamonium04 x

NattyPeer · 18/07/2024 21:20

@Pandamonium04 that’s the hardest bit, the unknown! I wish I had a crystal ball!

@Fairy0708 why did they give you clomid when you ovulate? I get so confused with all of this! Did you have private testing? Sorry if treading on old ground but struggling to keep up with the messages haha!

It's so refreshing to hear about bigger age gaps. I don't know why I feel this pressure about smaller gaps. I think there are pros and cons for both but ultimately whatever will be will be!

@NattyPeer no problem at all. It was NHS. After 6m of trying I contacted my GP in Nov and because I was turning 35 the following Feb and medical issues with my son (one being a heart condition, so reproductively something went wrong during pregnancy) plus emergency c se tion she agreed to refer me. I saw a gynae and they sent me for a hycosy, ultrasound, general bloods (Thyroid, FSH, LH, Oestrogen etc) and an AMH test (indicates egg reserve) and prescribed me 6 months of of clomid medication. I expressed my concerns about taking it and they pretty much said the risks are overstimulation of eggs and higher chance of twins and if taken long term ovarian cysts and thinner uterine lining. I've done my own extensive research and most women who take clomid are offered a follicle tracking scan to make sure everything looks ok but I was just sent on my way and hence my hesitation!

Hi everyone

I'm 6DO and just needed some peace of mind full well knowing it's far too early for a test but this happened and I have no idea if it's positive and very faint or if it's just a test line???

@beansread I see a line! Are you definitely 6DPO? Could you be a bit later?

Hey thanks for responding so quickly I'm having a minor buzz of anxiety!

Tbh, I have no idea. I had the coil out a couple of months ago so had no idea where my cycle was. I did test ovulation and my line was positive on 12/07 but we had actively been trying every day prior to that and afterwards.

It's too early right? This must be a mistake? 😬

LemonBitter · 19/07/2024 09:24

@beansread it definitely looks like a line to me.. if you are 6DPO you could be in the 3%!!

LemonBitter · 19/07/2024 11:02

Thanks @NattyPeer 🥰 got a positive digital today so keeping everything crossed!!

Hoping the baby dust keeps falling 🤞🏻

Mummio92 · 19/07/2024 11:28

@beansread looks like a positive line to me too, if you have another you could take that to confirm it’s not an indent but tbh I’ve used loads of those tests and never had an indent so I’d be pretty optimistic

Thanks!

I ended up doing a clear blue early with my 3rd wee of the day and it was negative!

Still v early days and what will be will be! X

LemonBitter · 19/07/2024 12:46

@beansread it's sooooo early definitely still loads of hope!!!

SkaterChick · 19/07/2024 14:40

Im approx 5dpo and I'm getting stabby pains on and off on both my left and right side (kinda near where I would get ovulation pain)
I'm maybe 80% sure I ovulated from both sides. I often do (and this has been confirmed via scans, my first was almost a twin as I ovulated twice but only 1 took)

I'm not having some minor anxiety that it's two lots of implantation pain, it's probably not. I'm not even sure we dtd close enough to ovulation. But my brain is absolutely fixated on the possibility 😂😅
Going to be a LONG few days until I can test. I'm trying to hold out until at least 10dpo....

NattyPeer · 19/07/2024 15:51

@beansread its so early! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!

@Fairy0708 its so frustrating that there is a lack of support and you have just been sent on your way! I am sorry to hear that everything was rather traumatic. Did they say that there was actually anything wrong though?

@SkaterChick i am 4po so slightly behind you! I always feel niggles and for the most part mine tend to be nothing 😂

I am going to try to hold out until 9/10dpo too haha!

@NattyPeer I'd honestly forgotten about going through this each month with my first 😅😅
