Currently TTC number 2 and struggling after getting pregnant fairly easily with number 1 (on cycle 3)!
Thought I'd start a thread so we can all support each other. Anyone else on their TTC journey for number 2? I am currently on cycle 7 and have ruled myself out already as negative pregnancy test at 10DPO. Each month I convince myself that I am pregnant! Experienced a chemical at cycle 3 😩

@Mummio92 that's exciting!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Thanks @hopefullyTTC2x 😊 part of the problem is I'm not 100% sure when I ovulated so I'm hoping I ovulated a bit late so could be 12DPO? Your lines are giving me hope!! AF was due Monday according to the apps.

@HRHXO the waiting is a killer isn't it.. I guess keep testing and watch those lines get darker 😃

@Pandamonium04 where are you in your cycle?

It's so nice to have people to bounce stuff off- my husband does NOT engage with squinting for lines and is much more "what will be will be"

NattyPeer · 17/07/2024 12:49

@Pandamonium04 so glad someone is here with me! We have to try to stay positive 🤗 are you in the TWW?

@SkaterChick welcome! How many cycles have you been ttc?

@beansread haha maybe a littleeee too early! It’s so hard not to though. Good luck for this cycle

Thanks, this actually helped a lot.

A got an abundance of creamy discharge today, nipples still sore but I'm also fully aware that it could be due to the progesterone rising.

I'm going to delete my flo app though because it keeps showing me what would be happening if I was pregnant which is unhelpful 🙃

Pandamonium04 · 17/07/2024 13:56

@NattyPeer @LemonBitter yes in the tww but to be honest don’t know whereabouts 😂 my period is due (according to Flo) next Wednesday I think? But I had a strange cycle thanks to the horrible cold. I’m now on antibiotics so I think this cycle is a foregone conclusion 😮‍💨 I should also add that I am an avid watcher of the resting heart rate chart on my Garmin and it’s steadily trending down.

Fairy0708 · 17/07/2024 15:21

Hi ladies

On cycle 11 😞 AF due in a few days...

I was very lucky to have concieved number 1 on cycle 1.

Had a load of tests, ultrasound, hycosy, AMH, hubby analysis all good. I was prescribed clomid but too scared to take it as I've had confirmed ovulation.

I'm recently 35 but know so many friends and family who have had babies 35-40. You hear of all the stories of people taking 12-24m with number 1 and then quickly with number 2 so hoping for us ladies it's the other way round (obviously the sooner the better but ultimately want another baby!).

My hubby is so chilled and just says why would be have a problem when we've had a child🫣😞

LemonBitter · 17/07/2024 16:16

You never know @Pandamonium04 , I'll keep my fingers crossed just in case, but if not I hope AF arrives on time so you can get cracking again when you feel better.

Hey @Fairy0708 ☺️ I think a few of us are in similar boats with #1 happening quickly.. I don't know why I thought it would happen like that again 6 years older and a stone heavier but it's definitely taking more time!! How old is your little one?

Fairy0708 · 17/07/2024 17:22

@LemonBitter hey! I never expected it to be quick but not still trying 11 months on but that's life! He's 3 😊 I'm trying to look at all the pros of a larger age gap tho I never ever wanted two under 2..not even under 3 on fact.

How many cycles are you on?

I've been really lazy with wearing my smart watch that tracks my HR....are there signs for HR for pregnancy?

Pandamonium04 · 17/07/2024 18:12

@LemonBitter thank you 😔 it’s just so hard to keep being hopeful! My husband is optimistic though so thank god for him.

@Fairy0708 hugs. I was actually one and done as I had a really traumatic birth and then struggled so much in the first few months postpartum. It was only when my daughter turned two that I thought I’d like another. I am an advocate for a bigger age gap!

@SkaterChick i think that resting heart rate does increase in early pregnancy as there’s increased blood circulation. It was also the first indication for me that I was pregnant in my first pregnancy. But now that I’ve gone back and looked back… it was definitely an upward trajectory but if I had obsessed about it on the day to day I would’ve gone mad. Sorry for the ramble!

SkaterChick · 17/07/2024 18:15

@Pandamonium04 that makes sense. Id just never thought about it. In about 4dpo so maybe I should wear it again 😂😅

Fairy0708 · 17/07/2024 18:21

@Pandamonium04 hi! Yes I was the same, my son has had major health issues (he's all good now tho) but until he was 2 I swore I would never do it again and then something clicked and now feel silly as the choice doesn't seem mine anymore!

How old is your first and now long have you TTC x

I'm also 4 DPO & my resting heart rate is usually in the 70's but after reading I checked it out of curiosity. I'm led in bed reading my book so definitely considered resting and it's 96.

How are you feeling otherwise? X

NattyPeer · 17/07/2024 20:55

@Fairy0708 welcome!

it’s a tough journey isn’t it! It’s hard because you suffer in silence! Then you get all the questions of when are you planning on having another! It sure doesn’t feel like the choice is ours to have another! 😩

What is clomid used for?!

OP posts:
SkaterChick · 17/07/2024 23:18

@beansread interesting. So according to my app my average resting rate is between 55-60. This evening lying in bed it's 75.
I didn't have this when I conceived my first so can't compare!

Mummio92 · 18/07/2024 07:50

@LemonBitter any test update today? Got my everything crossed for you x

Fairy0708 · 18/07/2024 08:13

@NattyPeer it's crazy isn't it! I'm feeling almost done with it lol. How long have you been TTC?

From what I understand clomid forces the body to ovulate and is used in women with pcos. I've heard there can be some side effects and if you already ovulate then can cause more than one egg to be released (hence increased the chances of there being a good egg). I just have a niggling feeling stopping me as there just could be nothing wrong and I don't want to start medicating a problem that isn't there!

LemonBitter · 18/07/2024 08:28

Hey @Mummio92 I can actually see a proper line today! It’s a different test so I don’t know if I can compare progression really but it’s the best I’ve had for sure.. just need to hope it sticks now 😬🤞🏻

How is everyone doing? Any updates today?xx

Sevillegarden · 18/07/2024 08:47

Congratulations @LemonBitter, there's no denying that line!

Mummio92 · 18/07/2024 08:52

@LemonBitter yay! Definitely looking good - I’ve heard people say sometimes that the cheapy tests are good for picking up pregnancy very early but can take a long time to start getting darker.

July really has been a good month for baby dust on this thread! Hopefully it goes the same way for those still in the tww.

Funnily enough last time I was pregnant we also conceived July, so assuming all is well, due date will practically be my current boy’s birthday 😅

HRHXO · 18/07/2024 09:31

@LemonBitter that's looking beautiful, congratulations!

HRHXO · 18/07/2024 09:33

Well 8, 9 and 10dpo were all BFP but this just confirms it! Something about seeing it in words... I don't feel well today I dunno if it's this cold/covid thing I have or early pregnancy symptoms kicking in but suddenly I'm nervous remembering how sick I felt all throughout my first trimester last time 😬

TTC #2
LemonBitter · 18/07/2024 09:37

Thank you @Sevillegarden ☺️

@Mummio92 isn't it - I really hope the BFPs keep coming for you guys, hope you don't mind if I linger for a bit as it's v early days and hoping to see the baby dust continue to work its magic!!

@hopefullyTTC2x thank you so much 🥰

Thanks @HRHXO ☺️ wow look at that!! No denying it when you see it in words!! Congratulations to you 🥰

Mummio92 · 18/07/2024 10:41

@HRHXO how exciting! I’m quite tempted to get a digital just to see that too.
I hope you feel less poorly this time round, I also suffered with sickness for about 20weeks when last pregnant so praying that’s not the case again.
