Currently TTC number 2 and struggling after getting pregnant fairly easily with number 1 (on cycle 3)!
Thought I'd start a thread so we can all support each other. Anyone else on their TTC journey for number 2? I am currently on cycle 7 and have ruled myself out already as negative pregnancy test at 10DPO. Each month I convince myself that I am pregnant! Experienced a chemical at cycle 3 😩

@beansread hey, how are you doing? Are you planning to test again or just wait and see how things pan out?

Hey I'm ok thanks! How are you?

I had the clear blue negative so I've just left it as that for now. I'm away for the weekend with my son and friend so that's a good distraction. I'm going to test again on Wednesday!

beansread · 20/07/2024 12:36

Wednesday would be 11DPO for me. I had an early period last month so if I'm not preggers I'll probably expect it late next week anyway!

Mummio92 · 20/07/2024 13:25

@beansread keeping busy is the best way to spend the tww. That sounds like a good plan, easy to drive yourself mad during this time.
Will be sending positive thoughts your way!

All good here, af officially late now which makes it feel more real but also starting to get some dodgy tummy symptoms which is less pleasant!

SkaterChick · 20/07/2024 15:59

I think I'm out for the month. I'm CD22, 6DPO and last night I had cramps, this morning I did a small puke in the shower (just my coffee thankfully 😅) and have been very nauseas all day
At CD22 this lines up perfectly with me getting HG symptoms approx 4/ 5 days before my period :(
My last few cycles have been around 26 days.

Ah, I hope it settles down soon. I've had a dodgy tummy this morning as well 🤢

Hi everyone! Hope it’s ok to join. Currently on 2dpo cycle 9. Our first was conceived on cycle 2 so it’s beginning to feel quite overwhelming now. We’ve both had private tests and all is fine but I think we’ll go back at the end of August if we’re still not pregnant. I ovulate on day 17/18 and my LP is quite short (around 10/11 days) so perhaps something to do with that! Have quite bad back ache today which I’m hoping is from yoga this morning and not pms symptoms!! Sending everyone lots of luck!! Xx🙌

NattyPeer · 21/07/2024 21:50

@SkaterChick do you usually feel nauseous?!!!!

Hi @PearlySwan welcome! I’m also on cycle 9 now! I’m currently on 6dpo I think, feeling no different.

it’s so disheartening isn’t it! I am pretty much the same too as we conceived our first on cycle 3!

Good to hear the tests came back normal though!

@NattyPeer sadly yes.
Every month since I stopped breastfeeding 5m ago I get nauseous starting around 4/5 days before my period and then vomiting from 24 hours before I start which usually lasts around 48 hours.
Luckily I have a stash of anti sickness meds left over from my pregnancy that are getting me through it.
Apparently it's something to do with how my body reacts to hormonal changes post a HG pregnancy.
Been nauseous allll day again today .. I caved and tested but was BFN but im also only 7dpo.
But my symptoms are telling me my body is preparing for a period so I guess I'll see. Period is due weds (I ovulated late)
I am wondering how a late ovulation and short cycle is effecting things...if my period comes are predicted on weds I'll be 10dpo....is my period happening before implantation even has a chance? Is this possible

LemonBitter · 22/07/2024 09:22

Hey @SkaterChick tbh I'm still getting my head around the cycle stages etc but I think I ovulated late and had a short LP... I did get a positive but 4 days after my period was "due" so I think it is possible.

Sorry to hear you still get HG symptoms every month that's awful 😔

SkaterChick · 22/07/2024 12:25

@LemonBitter it's all very confusing 😅 I'm going to book an appointment with my Dr to discuss things or find someone to ask these questions too!
Still nauseous today and extremely tired but I also have PMDD so at this point I don't know if it's that or not 😅😂
Not going to myself test again until weds if my period doesn't show up.

Pandamonium04 · 22/07/2024 15:15

@PearlySwan i know how you feel. We’re on cycle 8/9 as well and conceived our first on cycle 4 not really trying. Back then of course I thought I was trying soOoO very hard ha.

we’ve had tests as well and are going for results / consultation later this week. I’ve actually had ultrasounds earlier this year and everything seemed fine :/ do you happen to be in London and would you recommend your clinic? Can’t say we’re happy with ours. Feel free to DM me! (Is that a function on mumsnet 😅)

PearlySwan · 22/07/2024 19:43

@Pandamonium04 The whole thing feels very confusing doesn’t it, especially when all tests/ultrasounds come back fine. I also started acupuncture to see if that would help… no joy yet but I do like lying down for 45 minutes in silence 😂I’m actually in Bath and our clinic was in Bristol so probably not much help to you!

SkaterChick · 22/07/2024 23:34

What tests is everyone using these days? Need to get some tomorrow so I can test weds ...

I've just been using some cheap sticks from Amazon!

beansread · 23/07/2024 08:39

10dpo today and negative. I think the test on 6dpo was a false positive!! Lost the will to live now 😫

Just like the cheapest ones available on prime? That might be what I already have!
Oh how frustrating with your tests. You're not out till AF arrives though! Maybe try again 12dpo?

But this morning I am bloated, crampy and nauseous. Feel like my period is imminent :(
I'm CD25 (have been getting my periods on cd26) and I'm 9dpo. If no AF in the morning I will test but not hopeful with how much period symptoms I have.

beansread · 23/07/2024 08:55

@SkaterChick yeah, the dip stick ones. I had 30 come in a pack with the ovulation test strips! I said that if it comes back positive I'll do a clear blue!

It could be too early still you're right. My boobs feel like they're burning, feel sick and tired. But like you, these are also my signs for period!

beansread · 23/07/2024 08:58

@SkaterChick I keep telling myself to hold on to some hope. That the period and pregnancy symptoms can be the same!

I remember with my first, I didn't know I was pregnant and wasn't trying and when I tested it was relatively faint and I was 4 weeks!

Scrubbing my house, painting the woodwork and cleaning the carpets on my hands and knees has been a good distraction 🤪

SkaterChick · 23/07/2024 08:59

@beansread the only thing I have different this month is my nipples feel more sore.... But part of me thinks I'm imagining that 😅😅😅
Gonna be a looooooong few days.

Have they changed in appearance in anyway?

Not that I can tell.
I feel less crampy after a big poop 😅🤣🤣🤣🤣

MisssMarion · 23/07/2024 16:17

Have any of you done any testing with the NHS?
We've been trying for baby #2 since December. We got pregnant on the second cycle but I had a MMC (surgical management at 9 weeks). We're now on cycle #4 since the MMC. If not successful this cycle and as we both just turned 39 I'm thinking of asking my GP to do some tests and I'm wondering what these will be. And what the waiting times are.
As the clock is seriously ticking I'm also looking at private testing but it's very expensive...

beansread · 24/07/2024 07:41

11 days DPO and I got a negative 😕

Just going to wait for AF now, I know she's coming to humble me 🤣
