Anyone else currently in TWW? I’m 4dpo and anxiously waiting until I can test.

I am currently trying to conceive my 3rd baby. I have 2 girls who are 6 and 8. And I’m desperately hoping they to see a positive test
My periods have been very irregular for the past year or so. But got a positive ovulation test on Sunday morning and have done BD with hubby last Wed, Saturday night and Monday night.
🤞🤞

Im also anxious because as ridiculous as it sounds I’ve had 2 online readings from 2 different psychics last month, one said I would conceive in November and give birth in August and one said September and December would be important months. Now I can’t get it out of my head that I won’t convince until the end of the year (if that even happens) 🙈🙈

I had no problems conceiving my first two girls 6 and 8 years ago, happen on first try both times so I am desperately hoping it will be the same this time. I am 30 now so still young.

sorry for the long read! X

Thanks @JumpinJellyfish ❤️
I am feeling a bit out this morning had a temp dip, I'm 10dpo.
I have fertility clinic appointment tomorrow to look at IUI, so that softens the blow of feeling out for this cycle. Wondering if I should test tomorrow before I go just so I know what's what but I am thinking it's a bfn and hate seeing those 😂

Morning all, absolutely bugger all going on with me. No signs of implantation to speak of whatsoever, which isn’t filling me with hope. I’m 5/6 dpo too @Aisling1010! Going to try and hold off testing until Thursday am when I’ll be 10 dpo but I’ll probably fail. I got a clear positive with my DD by that stage so it’s my benchmark for good or bad news!

Don’t worry symptoms at this stage really are just guessing for fun and don’t really mean anything.
I’m trying thinking of my last 2 pregnancies what they were like on the 2 week wait. I think remember with my first I didn’t have sore boobs during the 2 tww and I normally did during that time before AF, so I remember thinking that was different. And with my last one I did get sore boobs and typical AF cramping feeling so I was very surprised to see bfp that time. I think I took a test with 10dpo with her it was negative and then faint positive 2 days later.

I will be 10dpo on Thursday too and I originally planned to test Thursday morning but I will be so upset at work and won’t be able to focus properly so I don’t know if I should wait to Friday when I finish work.

What are you using to check temp? I’ve never done the temp checking thing

that’s reassuring you have your fertility appointment tomorrow🙂 will this be your first one? It’s worth taking an early detection test tomorrow if you’ll be 11dpo 🙂

Hi! 1 or 2 DPO today, TTC baby no2.
I have long, irregular cycles so OPKs are a must for me otherwise would likely miss the window.
Peak was on Thursday, DTD Thurs & Fri so hope that was enough!
Good luck everyone.

Hi!

I have very long irregular cycles too. Never have any idea when I ovulate or when period is arriving so I couldn’t do it with it the OPKs either. Is this your first cycle trying or have you been trying for a while?

@Aisling1010 I use a bbt thermometer, just got off Amazon! I didn't temp either but went for acupuncture and the therapist wanted to see temps so have done the last 2 cycles, it's really interesting actually!

Tomorrow is second app, had initial consultation so tomorrow is scan, bloods etc. feel a bit unsure about IUI, hoping to feel more in the know about it tomorrow!

I think you're right I could do an early test tomorrow morning to be sure before I go to app, I'm sure seeing a bfn before a fertility app might be easier 😂

I'm 4dpo today so a bit behind! I think anyway, CBAD showed my peak on CD16 and easy@home CD20 (now CD25).

I was out yesterday for some drinks so hoping that doesn't have an affect on anything 🤞

Plan to test on Friday with a FRER! But probably do cheap ones in between to get it out of my system haha

MaybeBaby2024 · 14/04/2024 12:49

@2BabyOrNot2Baby Well for example, back in September I had maybe 3 weeks between periods.
My most recent period was 3 weeks ago, and prior to that my last period was before Christmas! There’s no pattern to it at all which is frustrating.

@Aisling1010 first cycle trying properly in a while. We did try back in December but it didn’t work. And then didn’t get my next period for over 3 months 🫤 so just had to wait it out until next cycle began which is this one.

I always assumed I had something like PCOS but have been seen by Gynae and they say I don’t have that 🤷🏽‍♀️

I do already have one DC so should count myself lucky I’ve been able to conceive at all. But just see that age gap getting wider and wider, plus we are getting married next year so don’t want a pregnancy/ newborn too close to that.

Optimistic66 · 14/04/2024 14:12

@Aisling1010 so hard waiting out to test but honestly i get in such a mood that time between a negative and my period that im not sure it's worth it.

Having cramping and constipation today. Genuinely wondering if im imagining symptoms.

How are your symptoms?

Ah no, how annoying! I've only had a few since having my son 18 months ago, but started to get into a nice little routine with them from December and now it's all up in the air again 🫠
Hopefully it doesn't turn up for a good reason this time 😁

MaybeBaby2024 · 14/04/2024 16:50

@2BabyOrNot2Baby Ahh similar to me then. My DS just turned 17 months.
Didn’t have periods at all until he was about 8 months old.

SummerSun24 · 14/04/2024 18:45

@MaybeBaby2024 @2BabyOrNot2Baby I've been the same my periods came back 10 weeks PP while exclusively breastfeeding 🙃 and got quite regular before Christmas then last cycle was 36 days on my first cycle TTC when they are usually 30, was horrible! Had alot on at work tho so think maybe the stress made it happen, hoping I'm more chill this time for it all

SummerSun24 · 14/04/2024 18:46

So Ill feel quite cheated if my periods came back so quickly for it to then take me so long to conceive the second 😂

MaybeBaby2024 · 14/04/2024 21:09

So the wishful symptom spotting has started for me at 2DPO 😂

And logically I know it’s impossible to have symptoms this early as implantation won’t have even happened yet!

But I’m so aware of my boobs feeling sore today. I’m sure I don’t normally get this after ovulation.

JumpinJellyfish · 14/04/2024 21:34

Another one with messed up cycles here. I am normally quite regular - ovulate on cd15/16 with a 28-30 day cycle but this is my first proper cycle after a mc in Feb and I think I ovulated on Cd19 so not sure when to expect AF (though obvs hoping it doesn’t come!!).

I will test next Saturday at 10dpo with whatever pink dye test I can get hold of, as I’ve always had faint lines by then on my previous pregnancies.

deliwoman1 · 15/04/2024 09:49

One more member of the (slightly) messed up cycles crew! I blame Pregnacare conception!

I’m normally regular 28-29 days, ovulate on CD15 or 16. This month is a little bit late though, got a peak at CD17 and maybe ovulated the same day. Not sure when AF is actually due. Sunday is my best guess. Will test on Thursday.

JumpinJellyfish · 15/04/2024 10:14

How is everyone feeling today? Is anyone testing soon?

Also, any EWCM experts? I use that to guesstimate ovulation - had loads on Monday and Tuesday and a tiny bit on Weds - do you think that means O day was tues or wed?

Ive assumed Wednesday as I think EWCM comes just before ovulation, so if that’s right I’m 5dpo. Still too early to symptom
spot so it’s quite boring!

5dpo as well and thinking every twinge in my body is a pregnancy symptom 🙃🙃 going to do a FRER on Friday (9dpo)

Alex900 · 15/04/2024 13:19

Am I aloud here? I’m currently Ovulating. I’m actively trying my fertile window was from the 11/4 to the 17/4 with tomorrow being ovulation day… BUT I know my body pretty well as I suffer painful ovulation and last night after BD the ovulation pains started. But non today so I’m guessing today could be ovulation day maybe what do you think? I did the deed 11/13/14/15 multiple times. We’re trying to hit 12 hour intervals 🤷🏼‍♀️ as to give us the best chance. I’m 33 I have a 13yo and a 10yo. I’m a little out of practice with the TTC as it’s been a decade but I’m hoping I’m on the right track

JumpinJellyfish · 15/04/2024 14:00

@Alex900 is CM a reliable indicator for you? I get random pains around ovulation but have never managed to work out whether it is my body gearing up to release the egg or after the egg is released (and seems to change month to month too). For me EWCM is most reliable as it starts to appear about 4 days before ovulation, then there is loads in the 2 days before and it dries up after I’ve ovulated.

Also, I don’t think you need to dtd more than once a day? Totally up to you but I think daily (even every other day) is enough - if I was having sex multiple times a day I think it might all become a chore quite quickly, but maybe that’s just because of my DH! 🤣

best of luck!

RainbowCrocs · 15/04/2024 14:10

7dpo and flitting between having symptoms and then telling myself they’re all in my head. Honestly, I’m a semi-sane human with a professional job but the 2ww completely changes me 🙈

Elisabeth3468 · 15/04/2024 14:21

About 5DPO and nipples feel a bit sore but generally only when brushed/pressed. I'm not getting my hopes up because we've been trying nearly a year now and have known fertility issues.

I have never really thought about EWCM I know I get it but I can’t say when. But my periods have been tracked for many years and I always have my period within a day either side of the apps guesstimate usually. The pains are deffo a tell tale sign I’m ovulating when I was TTC the week of Ovulation i avoided doing the deed and it ALWAYS worked I havnt been pregnant since my DD in 2013. I may keep track of the EWCM after this month if I arnt successful and see if that’s a more accurate way. This is only my first month of actively trying so I don’t expect to be pregnant this time I guess I’m just hoping x

2BabyOrNot2Baby · 15/04/2024 14:27

Has anyone else experienced an increase in CM at around 5dpo? It's varying between EWCM & being watery. It's completely new for me so I don't know whether it's normal or not. I feel like it was definitely more frequent yesterday at 4dpo though.

My boobs really hurt on the days around ovulation and I thought it had gone away. Until my son stood directly on my nipple this morning 😭 there goes using sore boobs for symptom spotting 😅

moosey89 · 15/04/2024 14:32

@JumpinJellyfish you're right, you don't need to dtd more than once a day. You will get the same number of sperm (as the production of sperm cells doesn't speed up if you dtd more frequently), just surrounded by more liquid! Once a day is definitely enough.
