Hi ladies, just thought I'd check in and say hello. Great to see more BFPs.
Hope everyone is doing ok.

3 weeks since my surgical management and I am still testing positive which I'm finding v tough. Will call Hospital tomorrow and see what they want to do - really hoping I don't need more treatment. I called on Tuesday but they said to wait another week and see what had happened.

Do want to start trying again asap - however, as I'm awaiting my recurring loss clinic appointment we have made the decision to wait until we've had that, so we can try and get some answers. I seem to get pregnant easily but can't get past first trimester. Appointment is in May so not too long to wait. Last time I got a positive test the week before the appointment and so couldn't go. Can't keep going through the same cycle so I need to put my sensible hat on and stop trying for a little while

Sorry for the long post!

Were you ever considered for pcos ?

Theres many types..

My type likely links with facial hair

We get preg easily then losses

Im being given metformin
Helps hormones and pcos patients

Lalaland13 · 08/04/2024 12:18

I had a transvaginal scan in January and they said no cysts or anything and all looked good @worldwidetravel2017 periods have generally been regular, I had some long and short ones last year and had a short one after chemical but assume that might be cause of that. Not really had hormones tested - just thyroid. I’ve got docs in May but could do some private at home test in meantime? Am wondering about the random 21 prostegone, I could order today. I just assumed my temp would rise today! And disappointed it hasn’t!! Just very confused by the whole thing! How are you doing? Do you think you will be testing early?

Ahh so disappointing @Daniki 😢 has your husband been checked? Such a shame - the month I had chemical also had a scan, showed a large follicle too so she was like go home and get having sex 😂 it worked but didn’t stick!

Good to hear from you @JC084 does sound like you need to stop trying til appointment to hopefully get some help, hope you test negative soon xx

Daniki · 08/04/2024 12:23

@Lalaland13 yea he's been checked too he is all fine but his morphology is 3 and it should be 4 but doc wasn't massively concerned about that told him to start proceive for men, give up smoking and keep his phone out of his pocket 😂 so he has done all that, so hopefully next cycle round works 🤞🏻
@worldwidetravel2017 what was that site you used before hertility or something ? Might be worth a look at @Lalaland13 for tests!

@JC084 ah that's so tough tho! I found I tested positive for a good few weeks after my mc at 9 weeks. It makes it harder to move on I thought. Good you have an app with the RLC and hopefully get some answers. Had you been put on any progesterone or anything? If not they will most likely give you a script for it for next falling pregnant.

@Lalaland13 not on clomid, I was on letrozole for 4 cycles from October but they were unmonitored and no trigger shot. I had to have the day 21 blood tests with those and doc wasn't happy with my progesterone results after that, then that doc referred me on for the monitored cycles and he switched me to Tamoxfin instead of letrozole and when I went in for the scan at day 13 he said I great big follicle and good thick lining and loads of CM. I thought it was a definite as I had ovulation pains that night but not to be I'm afraid! 🥴

Thank you. It's definitely getting fainter so hopefully it will be negative soon enough.
I was on progesterone this time round (my first time on it), but unfortunately it didn't work for me this time. I want to push to be allowed to start it earlier next time (if there is a next time) ... I was only given it once I'd had some bleeding at around 6 weeks

JC084 · 08/04/2024 12:36

Thanks @Lalaland13 and @worldwidetravel2017

I've not been checked for PCOS though my cycles are fairly regular.
Worth keeping in the back of my mind though

Thanks for the book recommendation too. Haven't read that one yet. Got sent one from the hospital charity called "saying goodbye" and have also bought "it starts with the egg" but I've seen good reviews on this one too

Randox health do progsterone testing for 30 gbp i recommend them

Hertility health dont do progsterone but do about 10 other things and i highly recommend them too.
Used them twice
And have a call bkd for a hormone and fertility specialist next week.
Its 150 gbp for their in depth blood tests and v detailed results.

Daniki · 08/04/2024 17:52

@JC084 that's too late, I can't understand that protocol at all! Should be from your BFP, that's what my doc advised. Altho I have been taking it 3 days from ovulation this cycle as I have low progesterone and wanted to throw everything at it! Went and bought boots tests there because I prefer them and have my head absolutely wrecked now staring at it because when I first looked I thought I saw a vvvvvvvfl but the more I like its not! 😂

Lalaland13 · 08/04/2024 18:02

Just ordered the randox kit - hopefully comes quick enough to do this cycle!

Lalaland13 · 08/04/2024 18:03

Ohh fingers crossed @Daniki !! Baby dust to you! Xx

Lalaland13 · 08/04/2024 18:05

Pretty sure with my son and the chemical I had the same thing where I thought I saw a line and it took a day or two to actually show!!! And presumably you’ve not used FMU!

Daniki · 08/04/2024 18:09

@Lalaland13 no I haven't prob a 2 hour hold, but I'm thinking if it is a vvvvfl it might be a chemical as similar to what happened me before, and I'm 13days trigger/dpo so it would have to be somewhat clear! 😂

2024 TTC 35+ Part 2
Lalaland13 · 08/04/2024 18:28

Ohh hard to see in a pic !! Did you get any more tests? Are you going to try again tomorrow? Eekk I don’t know how people wait a few days!! Hope it develops!!! With my recent chemical it showed about 10dpo but was gone by about 15 i think! Got it all crossed!

Daniki · 08/04/2024 18:36

@Lalaland13 I think I just have a bad case of line eyes 😂 I'm crampy and stuff now too, but of course I will test again in the morning! Il test until af arrives 😂😂

Lalaland13 · 08/04/2024 18:59

Of course you’re going to test 😂😂 we all do! No matter what 😂😂

Daniki · 09/04/2024 06:52

Negative again. Gutted! The boots tests has that line kinda appear again, must be evap. Always found them good before! Hope my period isn't too delayed because I was taking progesterone, stopped it Sunday night. My husband will be gutted now 🥺

Lalaland13 · 09/04/2024 07:14

Ah I am sorry @Daniki annoying the tests giving that false hope 😢😢 Can you try more of the trigger shot next month? Oh yeah last thing you want is this cycle dragging on for too long.

Daniki · 09/04/2024 07:42

@Lalaland13 yea I have a script to cover me for 5 months! So hopefully next cycle altho looking at the dates, it might fall a bit funny as we have a wedding the wknd that my husband is best man at so I don't expect him not drink at that, so I'd say next cycle is a shambles! 🙈 he was gutted this morning he left for work early 😩

Lalaland13 · 09/04/2024 07:55

Oh no - I am so sorry, really tough when they are gutted too. I think my husband thought I was over worrying first few months but he is now starting to worry too. You have more months to try though, it’s not over. I am sure you can fit some action in next cycle even with wedding. Have you tried things like preseed etc? I am thinking to get that ordered now - I feel like starting to throw kitchen sink at it! Xx

Daniki · 09/04/2024 08:01

@Lalaland13 yea we have preseed , altho I tend to use it more like a line than actually put it up there 😂 I read some people use cough medicine to thin their cervical mucus, I'm going to give that a go this month, sure why 😂😂 I think the age thing is worrying me the most if I was a few years younger I don't think I'd be as worried?
Do you take any supplements? I might try the proceive max, I take a few diff things and used to take the proceive but stopped as it was so expensive but maybe il give it a go again! Xx

Lalaland13 · 09/04/2024 08:36

Never heard the cough medicine thing!! Yeah the age thing is worrying me too - I am 39 in September, not sure how that happened!!! We conceive my son when I was 35 the first month we tried, really was in shock! So very naively - after he was a very bad sleeper, so so long I didn’t want to try again! So we held off til September when I was just 38, I really regret that that but I can’t change it. I assumed would be quick again! I’ve no idea if we just got lucky that time!

I only take - high dose folic acid, as take tablets for rheumatoid arthritis so need to, I’ve recently started zinc, vit b12 and vit d3….. I meant to order vit d but got it wrong lol! I don’t know if to try procieve instead but wasn’t sure how to deal with already asking the extra folic acid.

The one thing that is different to when concieved son is that I am heavier and probably generally less healthy we had just got married so I was in a mega diet to fit into dress. So I have been trying to be more healthy with varying levels - I used to do fruit/ veg smoothie for breakie so am trying to do that again but I have weetabix/ toast or stuff too.

We haven’t tried that much so far - I was convinced I was timing it wrong at first and not doing it at the right dates and that has used up time and the time just goes, really hope it works soon. Am starting to lose hope!

Lalaland13 · 09/04/2024 08:41
