Oh no really sorry to hear that @CurlyWurly1991, I thought you were one of our success stories on here.

TTC is so brutal. I have no children and have had no +ve pregnancy tests. Kicking myself as I got pregnant easily in my early 20s, although not really as I know I wasn't ready for a child then. I think it's my partner's sperm though rather than me. We're taking our ubiquinol etc so I live in hope but trying not to cling to it it too tightly too. Easier said than done. There are benefits to a childfree life but we're in a limbo as still TTC.

Off I go again....!
4th time in 12 months - here's hoping this little one sticks 🩷
Feeling nervous but cautiously excited...
lighter test is yesterday PM, then the middle one is this morning and the darker one later this morning (as clearly I'm going to be a serial tester again for the first while 🙈)

Given your history of loss - have they given you vaginal progsterone ?

Your entitled to it
As per NICE guidelines

worldwidetravel2017 · 02/08/2024 17:33

Ive started the before conception pregnacare ..

Will see if we've been lucky in this cycle in 7 - 9 days

JC084 · 02/08/2024 18:29

@worldwidetravel2017 I only found out yesterday afternoon and so haven't spoken to epau yet. I did speak to my consultants secretary today and she said they will likely start me on progesterone after 6 weeks once I've had my first scan. I will have 6,8 and 10'week scans like last time. I was also on progesterone before but it unfortunately didn't work for me. My consultant wasn't working today but as I'm waiting for the results from my bloods and recent scans as part of her recurring loss clinic, the secretary said she'll get the consultant to make contact with me to discuss my results asap and to make a plan

worldwidetravel2017 · 02/08/2024 18:32

Fertility clinic im under said i can have progsterone as soon as i have a positive test

Sending all the luck

This is all looking good @JC084, would they not start you on progesterone earlier? Asking you can add in baby aspirin also? Wishing you all the luck 🍀

JC084 · 03/08/2024 15:54

@Daniki that's what I am going to ask. I've only been on it once and that was only once I had had some bleeding.
Do you advise starting sooner? I keep seeing such conflicting advice - so hoping to speak to EPAU Monday and see what they say x

Daniki · 03/08/2024 17:31

@JC084 well I know here (in Ireland) my consultant has prescribed it for as soon as I get a positive test and it seems to be quite common. I'm sure it says in Tommys website it's recommended asap if you have had 2 or more losses. I think if you lack in progesterone then it's definitely helpful to be on it as soon as possible!

JC084 · 03/08/2024 17:50

@Daniki thank you! I will speak to them Monday. I do also have a week or so worth at home from last time (March / April time) that I didn't need as sadly miscarried - but then I guess I'd not want to start, then run out, and not be prescribed more until after the scan x

Agreed

Hi all, just asking for advice really. I think a few on here have tried online fertility tests, herility and Superdrug mentioned. Just looking for recommendations really of where to start.

Highly recommend hh for female testing

InWithPeaceOutWithStress · 10/08/2024 10:00

I recommend hertility too. You can get similar hormones tested through other companies but hertility also gives you a nice report and analysis of your results.

My partner did Semen analysis with Superdrug and I wouldn’t highly recommend as it’s so expensive and sperm does degrade by the time it gets to the lab, so it’s not accurate. However it did help to push him into making some changes so in that sense it was useful for us.

worldwidetravel2017 · 10/08/2024 11:52

My partner did a test with supet drug in may

Buthe had a cold or bug at the time

He tested again
This time on NHS
When he was well in jul
And results were fine

Hes on wellman max

Hi everyone, I’ve just come across this thread, I’m 36 (nearly 37) ttc my 2nd child, I have a 6 year old already, but never felt ready for another until about 6 months ago, but not fallen pregnant yet.
Has anyone tried the clear blue fertility monitor?
thanks x

InWithPeaceOutWithStress · 10/08/2024 16:18

Hi @Ted0301 welcome to the thread. I haven't heard of that before, looks good though, I'm tempted.

Did you get sorted with more? How are you getting on?

JC084 · 11/08/2024 08:43

@worldwidetravel2017 I'm ok thank you. 5 weeks today. The days are going so slowly.... have my first scan booked for 6+2

@Daniki - I spoke to them but they confirmed I won't get progesterone until they've done my 6 week scan and confirmed baby is in the right place ☹️ They put in a letter I received I'll only
Be prescribed it if I have any bleeding but I'm going to push to get it from the day of my scan if all is well

Hate the waiting 🙈

ShieldMaiden87 · 11/08/2024 18:10

Congrats! I’m 5 weeks tomorrow did you join the April group?

Yes, I think so. I've joined a fb group someone made in an April group too.
Congrats!

BiscuitDreams · 18/08/2024 08:50

Hello! Long time no see. I took another break from these threads because I am trying really hard to not get obsessed with TTC. 🙈 Congrats to those who have got their BFPs! Always nice to see those.

So I'm fairly sure I had a CP last month. I had like three days worth of faint lines and I was second guessing myself that I had faulty tests. But after a few days the tests went white and AF appeared. I had lots of symptoms and certainly felt pregnant for a few days. So I'm guessing that's good because it means our bits are still kind of working? 😅

I'm now around 4DPO and I have a chance because we timed DTD perfectly this month. Trying not to symptom spot too much. Haha.

Anyone else in the TWW at the moment? It's so boring!
