lol mine keep changing dates too. Apple CT has a more basic interface, but it’s the accuracy I care most about.

I am also worried about my LP being too short. I can’t find much info out there about what to do about this. Since coming off the pill I have regular but short cycles and very light periods. Not sure if my periods have changed in the decade I was on the pill or if my body is still adjusting. Ofc google has sent me into a spiral.

If your periods are v short - its wise to ask for somewhere privately to test your amh
Or ask 4 an nhs referral to gynae / fertility

If you have 150 gbp
For hertility health
They check amh
And many other things

I highly recommend them

Well 5dpo going of my Lh peak etc and been getting a sharp pain like a stitch which feels more like my left side, has anyone had this before who got BFP? I go away next week and so wanting to know before if im drinking or not🤣

Mrsspoon3 · 18/05/2024 23:29

Hope everyone’s doing ok!
I really hate TTC!! After waiting 3 months to try again after my miscarriage because my husband insisted on it, then another month when I was told my miscarriage was a partial molar pregnancy and told not to try, we’re trying again this month but my body is not playing ball! The last 4 cycles were perfect with everything happening on time, but typically with this one ovulation is not happening! I’ve had 7 days of flashing smileys on the clear blue digital test and still not static! We’ve tried 3 times but by the time I finally ovulate I don’t think any of them will count, and they were quite a lot of hard work really as I have to talk my husband into it every time and my 2 year old sleeps in my bed so it’s hard to find the opportunity 😭 Going to try once more tomorrow then call it a day if still no static smiley 😭

BFN today, really thought it was going to be the one. I'm spiraling, I really think my miscarriage in February has sped me into perimenopause. My hands are always warm and I woke up yesterday with a painful jaw, I don't know what to do, I'm terrified.
I mentioned this last month at the doctor's and he wouldn't even consider the idea. I have bloods with HH next month, but I'm not feeling optimistic about the results. On top of all that I feel crappy about myself.

InWithPeaceOutWithStress · 19/05/2024 11:19

It’s a tricky one @RememberZen as the symptoms you describe sound to me to more likely be caused by anxiety/stress. Emotional pain can very much show up in the body as physical pain.

As long as we are having periods we are still fertile. Miscarriage likely to have been due to chromosomal issues in the sperm or the egg, which is more likely to occur as we get older.

The best we can do is focus on healthy lifestyle to support good development of egg and sperm and try to be kind, compassionate, and patient with ourselves to prevent anxiety spirals and make life more difficult for ourselves.

I’ve been thinking recently about how common it was in older cultures to have fertility deities and that makes sense to me now - would we find this easier if we could pray to the goddess of fertility each day?

Xxfifixx89 · 19/05/2024 11:50

6/7 dpo and shocking heartburn today🤢 anyone had this before?

I can only hope so, surely I can go from getting pregnant in two months to starting perimenopause six months later, I didn't help myself by going down the Google rabbit hole, made me feel so much more worried when I start reading women starting menopause at age 32. I am still getting regular periods, but I read you can get periods and not ovulate. I'm all over the place, can't stop thinking about the worst and how to accept and deal with that, if it comes to that.
I don't think it helps that I'll be 40 in November, it's like a critical age in my head for fertility to rapidly decline.
I know what you are saying there, I would peat to all the Gods and Goddesses right now if it gave me peace of mind and I felt like it was helping me control this situation.
Thanks for your help and reassurance, greatly appreciated 🙏

I had that stitch feeling twice before in my left side, once when I got a BFP! So fingers crossed for you 🤞 but I also had it last month though and it was a BFN. I hoping good news for you! 🙏

There's a lot of symptoms that can be similar to perimenopause, I find myself worrying about this too from time to time! Look into NMN supplements, iv been taking it for a few months from what iv been reading and threads on here and supposed to be great for egg quality x

Thank you, I hope I'm just overthinking! The only hope I'm holding on to is that my periods are still super regular. Can I ask are you of similar age? Thanks, I'll check them out now, I'm currently taking coq10, I'm not sure if that has the same properties. My doctor advised me against taking anything, as he said my eggs are 39 years old, there's nothing that will change or better them, so I just don't know anymore.

Daniki · 19/05/2024 19:58

@RememberZen I'm 35, turning 36 in November! There's been positive reviews on Reddit etc on this supplement, its primary function is reversing celllsr damage and dna damage in the structures of the cell. There has been reports of women in their 50's who have had their periods return! Seems fairly newish so there's not loads of studies on it but I feel all this pressure on myself with time so that's why I started it!
Having regular periods is a great sign you're not menopausal so keep trying to tell yourself that to keep the panic at bay 😁

Thank you so much, I will definitely think about NMN, sounds good! I appreciate your kind words, means a lot! I'll try my best to keep positive, all the best to you! 🙏

@RememberZen im so sorry to hear how you are going through it at the moment. Your hertility test will be helpful to answer some questions in terms of what you FSH and AMH are doing. Have you thought anymore about going down a private route or not feasible 😔 it’s so stressful, I wonder about fertility acupuncture or something similar may help with the stress you are experiencing.

The egg matures for 3 months before release and so theoretically you can reduce the chances of issues during that stage of development. Co q19 supposed to be helpful but even if not it’s an antioxidant and good for you in general - supposed to help with fatigue - so no harm in trying it 🤷‍♀️

Thanks, me too. I'm feeling anxious about getting those results back and what it could mean. Unfortunately we aren't able to afford private IVF, so I don't think that will be an option for us unfortunately.
Thanks, I'd try anything right now to be honest.
I starting taking 50mg coq10 after my miscarriage in February, I don't know wether to increase the doss, hopefully it's doing something in there, but I get paranoid it's making it more difficult for us to conceive taking it, prior to the miscarriage, it only took us two months to get a BFP. So I just don't know what's happened, can't help thinking that was our only chance in this and it just isn't meant to be.

blackberryhill · 20/05/2024 10:28

CD5 here, had a really weird short light period this month which has obviously sent me down a Google rabbit hole of worry. Hoping it's just a wobble as my body adjusts to coming off contraception.

Xxfifixx89 · 20/05/2024 12:32

I am so going to be out this month! 7/8dpo and I have food poisoning so I guess that will most certainly impact this month with the way I feel🤢🤦🏻‍♀️

SnookyPook · 20/05/2024 16:34

Hi All - I haven't checked in for a while and some of you may not even remember me from the thread but thought I would share a little hope.

Just entered third trimester today with my rainbow baby after 3 losses last year 🙏🏼🌈. I turned 38 in December. Just to add to the recent convo - I started taking 100mg of CoQ10 daily from early September (after my second loss) and the (surprise!) BFP with this one was end of Nov - almost exactly 3 months - so I can't help wondering if it did indeed give my maturing eggs a boost. I also took an additional Vit D supplement alongside my Pregnacare - this is supposed help reduce miscarriages (obviously dependent on cause of pregnancy loss, but can't hurt I guess). We were awaiting a referral to fertility consultant when this one came along and I really wasn't expecting it to progress. So you never know what's around the corner. Don't give up hoping. Good luck to you all ☺️

Lovely to hear from you :)
Lovely update :)

( had my vit d checked last week - its 96 woo )

OnePinkDuck · 20/05/2024 19:45

@RememberZen Try not to worry about the hertility test too much, it’s just another tool in your arsenal for when you go and see your doctor, whatever happens you are still getting periods and have managed to get pregnant and so it can happen, have faith, your little rainbow is just waiting for the right time. I’m taking 250mg co q10 and an additional 70mg in my proceive max. I think try it as it can’t hurt.

worldwidetravel2017 · 20/05/2024 19:45

Low gi diet continues here

Just took my metformin
And myo inostol

#pcos

OnePinkDuck · 20/05/2024 19:51

Congratulations @SnookyPook

Sorry to hear about your gastro @Xxfifixx89 happened to me two cycles back, was rough! Feel better soon!

im 3dpo today. My bbt hasn’t gone up so not sure if I’ve ovulated or just a dodgy reading. I was so convinced I ovulated Friday night as had horrible left sided pelvic pain. Will see what happens tonight with BBT. Went into this cycle really positive and now just feeling a tad disappointed if I am getting anovulatory cycles.

MisssMarion · 20/05/2024 21:04

I'm joining the fun...
I'm 38 (for another 2 months) and TTC for baby #2. We started in December and got pregnant on the second cycle (yay!) but had a MMC in March... so back to square one. Today is CD4 of the second cycle since the surgery. I'm very anxious about the likelihood of getting pregnant at my age and having another MC. Feeling pretty defeated atm. 😔
