@Lalaland13 that negative chart was a bit of an odd one in terms of the sharp spike up post-ovulation, usually my rise was more gradual like on the positive chart. I definitely found it useful, particularly towards the end of my cycle - usually my temperatures would start to drop a day or two before my period started so useful for managing expectations and not being too disappointed when my period started.

I'm currently back on temping and tracking again now that my implant is out in the hopes that I can figure out where my cycle is and if I've started ovulating...

Guys

Fyi - if any of you meet all the below - contact your gynae - theyll help after 6 months

If your over 35
Have had a miscarriage in last 6 - 9 months
Havent ever had a child

^ theyll get your gp to prescribe stuff.

Also to anyone that meets the above - other than miscarriage - if u ever very sadly do have a miscarriage - no matter how early - make sure it goes on your nhs record.

Also.
Regarding anyone with pcos
Or anyone who thinks they might have it - if you had a transvaginal scan 8 - 9 -,12 -18 months ago
And your ovaries didnt look polycystic then..
Do get checked again - - things can change

Baby dust to all

If / when i get my next period - il be starting some meds prescribed via gp via gynae

Apart from my last early Pregnancy scan 5 years ago. My last TV scan to check my ovaries must've been about 7-8 years ago. I did mention it the Dr when I went in for my health check back in January and he just said unless my blood results showed a change in hormonal levels I didn't need to have another scan done. The one I had when Pregnant showed my ovaries were pretty much clear but my right one was rather enlarged. No idea what it meant because other than the sonographer mentioning it nothing else was said.

Tell them your trying to concieve again

Push 4 another transvaginal

If they ask why - say structural and you want to know re fibroids etc
And also get your ovaries checked

Are your cycles regular ?
Do you get hair on your face or inner legs ?

IBegYourBiggestPardon · 10/04/2024 12:02

@worldwidetravel2017 I think so. Since I eliminated wheat and gluten out of my diet I'm usually around every 35 days now. Before that I could maybe go 3-4 months at a time without having a period. I was on metformin when I fell Pregnant in 2019 but that was really only to kickstart my periods and regulate them again. I aren't holding out much hope this month of getting a positive Pregnancy test. Although I do have one symptom the same as last time which is the pain around my lower back and hip area. I don't have the painful boobs this time other than a few twinges here and there and I'm sure I had those about 2 weeks before testing positive. I think I'm only around 10DPO though. Annoyingly every symptom last time I tracked on Ovia which of course is no longer available over here so I've no way of knowing when and what they were.

Dya mind me asking roughtly how old u are ?

If it is pcos - they say to reduce sugar and low gi diet

Gluten free for a month wouldnt do any harm either

Could be worth getting your testosterone tested ?

And / or using hertility health..
They are amazing
150 gbp
4 many things tested
Which county are u based in

IBegYourBiggestPardon · 10/04/2024 13:12

@worldwidetravel2017 I'll be 39 next month. OH is coming up 57 I've been gluten free for nearly a year now and it has made a massive difference in regards to my period. Sugar is the biggest thing I struggle to cut out. I'm in the UK. TTC certainly does take its toll out on you. Last time it happened I said that's it no more trying and just started to relax a bit more and bam I fell Pregnant but miscarried at 9 weeks. I think this time knowing I'm knocking 40 in a years time and obviously my OH been 18 years older than me I do worry that time is running out for us.

Daniki · 10/04/2024 13:26

AF has showed her head! Onto the next cycle we go 😩

I have a wedding a few days after predicted ovulation day, will drinking make a difference? It's a very good friends wedding!

InWithPeaceOutWithStress · 10/04/2024 13:43

AF has arrived for me too @Daniki.

I would think one evening of drinking can't do much harm. In general you want to give your eggs 3 good months of healthy living (prior to ovulation) to give them the best chance. One day off to have fun with your friends won't wreck that.

Lalaland13 · 10/04/2024 13:45

Ohh no @Daniki but least its not dragged on for ages this cycle, onwards and upwards.

Erm - I tend to keep drinking but not excessive amounts, glass of wine or two should be okay! When I was pregnant with son I guess week after concieved I had whole bottle of Prosecco and was all okay?! Bad I know but I didn’t expect to be pregnant!! I think others are more strict, I don’t want to be hanging and running around after a toddler these days!!

Daniki · 10/04/2024 13:48

To be fair I actually never drink because I get such bad hangovers, last time I drank properly was another friends wedding last September 🤣 we're away for the whole wknd too so if like to somewhat enjoy myself! I'm trying to tell myself I'm out this cycle anyway so that if it happens it's a happy surprise 😂

Hertility health is very worthwhile ..
Shows amh etc

Your Oh could get himself tested via super drug btw

JC084 · 10/04/2024 21:49

Had my scan today and pleased to say there was no retained tissue. Seems my hcg levels are just taking a while to drop.
Have a 4cm cyst on right ovary.
However, was also told that I have axial
partial septate uterus ... now from what I've been reading this eve on line - I think this means I'm more likely to miscarry? Anyone experienced this?

OnePinkDuck · 11/04/2024 08:42

Hey ladies, looking for some moral support to get me through this TTC period, I’m 38 and have a 2 year old, only 2 months into TTC #2 and just got my period today but Im already traumatised from the experience, and as good as my partner is he just doesn’t get it in the same way. Would love to join your thread if you will have me!

ButItHasCheese · 11/04/2024 09:20

Hi @OnePinkDuck ! Welcome :) my DC is the same age, I'm 37 and just finished TTC cycle 2, and it's already been too emotional that I'm taking a break in April. Try to be kind to yourself (easier said than done I know!)

Lalaland13 · 11/04/2024 18:36

Great no retained tissue @JC084 - sorry no experience of partial separate uterus. Oh gosh - can you talk to a fertility specialist about to see if any support?

Welcome @OnePinkDuck also have a 2 year old and am 38, been Ttc since sept with only one CP. I’m almost getting used to not convieving now 😢 good luck. There is lots of knowledge and support in this group

OnePinkDuck · 11/04/2024 20:08

Thanks!

When I got pregnant with my boy it was a very different experience - I had come off the pill in the late summer 2020 because of side effects but had some big life commitments in the spring of 2021 so we were delaying until after those - But let’s just say we had a bit too much prosecco on my birthday and Valentine’s Day in the month of February that year and low and behold I ended up having to experience them with horrific morning sickness. 😂

So I’ve never been through the stress of the TWW before and it’s rough (the symptoms and the negative tests and the heartbreak when AF finally arrives)…. So much love and hope to all you ladies that April brings us all our hearts desire!

D1 today and ready to start afresh!

Lalaland13 · 11/04/2024 20:13

Yeah same really - I conceived my son the first month we trued, it was so easy. Too easy! I was totally shocked - I don’t even think that excited as it happened so fast. But this time it’s been really hard and we put off trying really as assumed would happen so quick! I’m actually wondering at this point if it will ever happen 😢

IBegYourBiggestPardon · 12/04/2024 00:07

Well I think I'm out this month. Niggly pains in my lower back have gone. Still got a weird stitch like pain in my left side but nowhere near as bad as it was the past few days, and a bit of a stabby sensation in my uterus on and off everything else has pretty much disappeared. Plus a bit TMI but it's pretty much dried up down there. I did try and see if I could feel my cervix earlier but I couldn't. That said I do have pretty short arms and fingers and also a retroverted uterus so I have to put my hands under myself during my smear tests. Plus apart from being grossed out from sticking a finger up there. I've absolutely no idea what it is I'm meant to be feeling for. I'm going away on Sunday so I'll probably come on whilst I'm away.

OnePinkDuck · 12/04/2024 09:10

@Lalaland13 fingers crossed it will happy for you soon!

I checked my AMH thinking I had plenty of time left and maybe we would start next year at some point but it’s pretty low so we’ve started earlier than planned and will look into private fertility treatments/test early.
The joys of being >35 😅

Lalaland13 · 12/04/2024 12:58

Ohh interesting @OnePinkDuck I’ve got got my randox test to try this week, thought I ordered the 21 day prostegone but it says it tests for other things to. I am hoping that will shed some light. I guess good idea to get these things tested to give us more info!

ohh sorry @IBegYourBiggestPardon so upsettign.

im pretty confused - seem to have increased CM again and feeling a bit frisky 😂😂 so wondering if like a late ovulation?! So confusing! I tried a ovulation test a moment ago but ended up dropping it into the sink and all smeared now!

worldwidetravel2017 · 12/04/2024 19:36

Extra cm can be a sign of pregnancy

Lalaland13 · 12/04/2024 21:04

That has crossed my mind @worldwidetravel2017 but just doesn’t feel like it tbh. How you getting on? Have you tested?

worldwidetravel2017 · 14/04/2024 07:40

Hows everyone ?
Given my day 21 / 22 ovulation - if im going to get a positive - it will likely be next thurs ish

Enjoy the sunshine all

I dont currently feel like my period is incoming but who knows

blackberryhill · 14/04/2024 07:55

Been a while since I've done this - thoughts on this OPK? I feel like it's pretty positive?

I'll be very pleased if I've managed to return to ovulation 4 days after coming off the implant - I'd factored in a couple of months before anything would happen...
