Thought I’d make a new thread for those of us Ttc in April 2024. I know some of us will cross over from end of March to April ! Wishing everyone all the luck ✨❤️

@pinkpetunias I'm sorry you're going through this too, it's incredibly frustrating! I'm going to try one more test tomorrow and if negative (which is what I'm expecting) I'm going to count the spotting I had as a period and see what opks say over the next week. Good luck to you for the next cycle!

TryTheNight · 02/04/2024 07:15

@Daniki, this morning, it was just a little blood when I wiped, so I was holding out hope.

Unfortunately, as the day went on, the significantly increased bleeding signaled that AF was here, and I'm out for April already. 🙃

ButItHasCheese · 02/04/2024 07:33

@Ncl31 could be I suppose... I didn't have it with my 1st pregnancy so I'm not sure what I'm looking for... AF due in 2 or 3 days though... tested today and was BFN so I'm not holding out hope

YaWeeFurryBastard · 02/04/2024 07:37

8dpo here and BFN as well, not feeling good for this cycle!

I think I'm around 7dpo, BFN for me too 😩😅 proper gutting cos I tested positive at this stage with my last pregnancy 😢 not even a slight faint line

RRAEE · 02/04/2024 08:31

Im due any day now and BFNs too 😕 but no sign of anything usually by now id have something to say Af was coming..

Is anyone else TTC longer? I'm 2 years next month. After one miscarriage in January, I feel like I don't belong in this thread

I'm around this mark, approaching 2 years after a misscarraige with our first pregnancy. Xx

Daniki · 02/04/2024 09:00

@TryTheNight oh I'm sorry I hate when that happens if you have a slight bit of hope 😭

LindyMoe · 02/04/2024 09:08

I've started seeing some browning and I'm devastated

Period due tomorrow and yet again I got my hopes up. This time I'm really struggling to move on. I feel like I've failed.

I've failed myself, and mostly I've failed my son. He won't get a sibling close in age I feel like I've robbed him. He's already 4 so I've failed and I don't know how to not stop this increasing dread and despair building in me.

I just don't know why I'm broken 💔

ButItHasCheese · 02/04/2024 11:24

@LindyMoe you've not failed - you're doing your best, and that's really all that matters.
Sending hugs

(And I know it's no consolation, but you're no failing your DC if you don't give them a sibling - no doubt they feel loved and appreciated and that's all that matters to them)

SummerSun24 · 02/04/2024 11:58

Here to add to the list of negatives today, not even at ovulation (I don't think) but probably already out. Absolutely rotten with cold today so not likely to be dtd at the right time and even if I did I feel illness probably has an effect on implantation which is precarious at the best of times!!

Be kind to yourself @LindyMoe! You are absolutely doing your best and your LO sounds lucky to have a mum that cares so much for them and their happiness 🩷

Sarahk89 · 02/04/2024 12:03

6dpo today. How early do you all test? Just trying to see how early I can test and receive a reliable result. Also, how do you all test your progesterone please? I have seen people mentioning testing. Hope you are all minding yourselves this week!

Dogscanlookup · 02/04/2024 12:29

@LindyMoe I am so sorry how you’re feeling and I understand completely as that was my breakdown last month. I always wanted a close age gap and now it’s looking around 4 years closest! I think we all put these timelines on ourselves (want to be have a house by 25, married by 27, babies before 30 etc etc) and it’s effectively imaginary pressure. There’s not a lot achieved in life as we expected - I took away the “deadline” with the perfect age gap, and I felt so much lighter as pregnancy is out of our control. It’s why it’s the hardest journey 😢 you haven’t failed, you’ve succeeded in being a good mother to your son already by wanting this so much for him. Be kind to yourself ☺️

Dogscanlookup · 02/04/2024 12:31

I have a question for anyone who spots before their period / struggles with low progesterone or short luteal phase. Has anyone tried any progesterone cream or supplements to help this? Or takes B6 to lengthen the luteal phase?

Also I’ve only ever taken the expensive clear blue OPKs. This month partner is away so I’m just going to track my cycle anyway but what are the cheap OPKS so if I’m doing it wrong it doesn’t matter so much 😂

Dogscanlookup · 02/04/2024 12:34

@Sarahk89 just read your post - look at “proov” and it’s the “confirm” tests. You can get them off Amazon or their website. They give you 5 tests - one you do after AF for a baseline, then the other four you take at 7DPO through to 10DPO. You’ll get either positive or negatives depending how strong your PDG levels are and after the 4 days it summarises what it means (whether you ovulated, didn’t ovulate etc).

ThingsLineUp · 02/04/2024 12:53

@Sarahk89 this website has useful stats re: the likelihood of getting a positive if you are pregnant on various dpo. I start testing at 9dpo as that's when there's about a 50:50 chance of getting a positive: https://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/

@Dogscanlookup I use the Easy@Home opk tests, bought via Amazon, not had any issues with them so far and they're pretty cost effective: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Easy-Home-Ovulation-Predictor-Powered/dp/B01HFBWQH6/ref=zg_m_bs_g_2826720031_m_sccl_1/259-0465301-7553766?psc=1

LindyMoe · 02/04/2024 12:57

@ButItHasCheese @SummerSun24 @Dogscanlookup thank you for your kind words.

Really helped.
I've booked a joint appointment with our GP to get an idea if there's anything we need to be worried about.

6dpo is super early to test, you definitely wouldn't get a reliable result, but if you have some cheapies you could use one just to get the addiction over with and save your clear blue or freyer for 8dp plus?? Xx

PermanentlyTired03 · 02/04/2024 13:09

Afternoon all, AF due to start today but not here yet. I have mild central abdominal pulling type pain but unsure if AF is just a bit late or some kind of early pregnancy pain.
I was preganant with DD nearly 4 years ago so I can’t remember what my symptoms were!
trying not to waste yet another test on another BFN!

PermanentlyTired03 · 02/04/2024 13:17

@Sarahk89 i try to wait at least 10 dpo. My sensible head says wait until your period is late and stop wasting tests but I usually end up testing!

Sarahk89 · 02/04/2024 13:42

Thank you ladies! I’m going to hold out to Sunday to test (if I can!) so I will be 11dpo. I tested on 13dpo last month and got my bfp (only to mc four days later). Trying not to let my imagination run away with me!

Quolla · 02/04/2024 14:30

Faintest line imaginable for me at 9dpo! Not sure if it's an indent or a positive and my husband is refusing to believe it until I test again in a few days 😅 tentatively excited, tentatively nervous. I've had chemical pregnancies before as well so it's still a waiting game.

Iv seen CoQ10 recommended for lengthening luteal phase. I started taking NMN powder about 5 weeks ago after seeing a few threads on it in regard to fertility and reversing cellular damage etc and improving egg quality. Last cycle my spotting only started the day before my period I, like you, always get it about 4 days before AF so I was happy with that. Also I would ask your docs about being prescribed progesterone from after ovulation to see if it helps? Defo takes away the spotting I don't two cycles of it dec/jan and stopped it both times on 12dpo if I was testing negative and my period would just arrive then!
