BFN at 10dpo…….am I out?? Anyone have a positive after 10dpo??

Hi there,

Last round of fertility meds before seeing the fertility dr this week. I am 10 dpo and neg test on easy at home and clear blue ultra early this morning.
I got a scan mid cycle and i had 2 big follicles each side and my lining was very good, had my ovulation pain cd 14, cd21 blood test progesterone was very good level shown I did ovulate. We dtd every other day leading up to ovulation and on peak day and ovulation day.

I guess I’m just hoping we still have a chance this cycle but you see everyone getting bfp so early.
I had a mc on our 2nd round of treatment 6months ago and I was just hoping this last round would be it for us 🙏🏼🌈🥺

I only got BFP faintly at 13 dpo. it's really unusual to get a BFP at 8/9 dpo, some people don't even implant until later than that.

Yep, stark negative 10DPO, vvvfl 11DPO. Shocked was not the word after how blank the test on day 10 was! Had to wait two days before that line really became properly visible as well. You're not out until AFTER arrives!

@KittyFantastica can I ask which type of test you were using?

Hi @purplecolouroffunk, I used Wondfo this cycle and found them to the the most sensitive by far out of all the other brands I've had. A regular Boots and Clearblue took forever to become visible.

I tested on the easy at home and at dpo 10/11 (not quite sure which day I ovulated), it was negative and then got a positive next day. Don't know about the other test you mentioned.

@LittleLemonPie i completely feel ya! I tested yesterday at 11dpo and got a BFN. It’s just so hard to keep the hope when you hear about others getting really early positives 😔

I’ve said to myself I’ll next test on Thursday if I don’t see AF by then. Not holding out hope though!

@LittleLemonPie I decided to hold off til tomorrow and wait to see if AF arrives today. My pink spotting has turned more red in the past hour or so, and I'm getting the more usual AF cramps. So I think that's me out!

How are you getting on? Have you tested again?

No advice, just solidarity. I'm 10dpo with a very white bfn. Boo!

Just seen this thread, I made a similar one same day!

12DPO today been testing last couple of days getting BFN. Yesterday I said to myself I'd get BFN tomorrow again then I'm just going to accept it... but here I am still holding onto any little hope left😭

I'll share an observation, in case anyone interested. Been reading old mumsnet threads to find hope not sure if it helped. I've read mix posts and observed that most mums got their bfps by 12dpo but then some mums shared they didnt get bfp until 14/15dpo. I also noticed ones that shared bfp before 12dpo had chart to back up confirming ovulation wherea bfps pass 12dpo didn't. So wonder if they actually ovulated a few says after what they thought, which reduce their bfps DPO

Sorry for the monologue. But would be interesting to know what the actual bfp rate is, pass 12dpo, with confirmed ovulation date.

@js5 I think for the best outcome implanation needs to happen on or before 10dpo, and then it takes 2-3 days for hcg to rise.. so if ovulation is 100% correct I think the latest likely day would be 13dpo?

Implantation can happen post 10dpo but the odds fall off, I think for 11dpo it becomes 50/50 for an early loss

I tested yesterday and today both negative but at my appointment yesterday I have been given 3 more months of letrozole and there after if they don’t do anything then most likely be ivf for us.

HI @JS5! God I know the feeling so well. It's hard to know when to give up hope isn't it?!

That's an interesting observation. I've looked at quite a lot of stuff on here to try and see trends too and it's always so interesting to read.

@LittleLemonPie thank you! It's still going from sometimes red, to sometimes pink, so who knows. And cramps have pretty much stopped. Might just be a slow start to AF. Will usually be very full flow from the next day or so, so guess I'll see. I think I'll test tomorrow and if that's negative can assume it's pretty definitive as that'll be 16dpo.

I just feel so disappointed cause I've had so many green flags during the TWW. Queasy, so hungry when I've just eaten, needing to pee more, ovary twinges, boobs sore in a totally different way, hold a sore throat/sneezy, body temp has stayed up before AF is due, heart rate has been going up steadily for the past week. It feels cruel!

I'm sorry to hear you're still negative. How many DPO are you now? I have everything crossed that the letrozole works for you. ❤

today I’m 13dpo, expecting my period on Saturday. With my mc last year I got v faint on easy at home and a pregnant 1-2 weeks on clear blue digital at 12dpo, so I’m not holding out any hope for this cycle.
