Hi there,

Last round of fertility meds before seeing the fertility dr this week. I am 10 dpo and neg test on easy at home and clear blue ultra early this morning.
I got a scan mid cycle and i had 2 big follicles each side and my lining was very good, had my ovulation pain cd 14, cd21 blood test progesterone was very good level shown I did ovulate. We dtd every other day leading up to ovulation and on peak day and ovulation day.

I guess I’m just hoping we still have a chance this cycle but you see everyone getting bfp so early.
I had a mc on our 2nd round of treatment 6months ago and I was just hoping this last round would be it for us 🙏🏼🌈🥺

I also just found this website with some cool stats on BFPs and DPO!

https://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/

Thanks for sharing this, very interesting!

LittleLemonPie · 23/02/2024 07:31

@purplecolouroffunk Oh that link was good to see.
it was tough but my husband and I had really good supportive friends and family. Thank you 💜

BFN and now some pink spotting has started, prob be full on af tomorrow but on to next cycle 🤞🏼

how are you this morning? 🤞🏼

I think for our next cycle of letrozole I am not going to track ovulation which I’ll see if it mentally give me a break cause I’ve been using OPKs for nearly 2 years every cycle 😞 our plan is to try out the SMEP again without OPKs or temps so might help relax a little lol who knows.

@LittleLemonPie 13dpo and got BFN, temp has also come down the past two days so expecting AF today

I'm looking into Soy Isoflavones to shorten the next cycle, as my cycles are around 35/40days long.

Sorry to hear this cycle wasnt successful. You've mentioned above you're thinking to do next cycle without opks and temp checks, are you able to do this as you know which day your ovulate? For me, it's the BBTs that stress me out post ovulation so considering to stop temping once I have my high 3 temps confirming ovulation

LittleLemonPie · 23/02/2024 08:30

@JS5 Aw I’m sorry to hear still bfn 😔

Hope the soy isoflaveons work for shortening your cycles 🤞🏼

With most of my cycles on the letrozole I seem to ovulate 7 days after my last tablet (cd14 for me) I have ovulated early on one occasion but our way of looking at it is that we have been so precise with our timing of dtd with the opks and altho we did fall pregnant on the 2nd cycle our last 3 nothing so we feel if we are doing it every other day in the lead up to ovulation and then when I feel my ovulation cramps/pressure we will just do it couple nights in a row.

We also use a fertillily cup to keep everything in place 🙈 TMI sorry lol. we used it first time on the cycle i got pregnant but then have been using in these cycles that are negatives.

I have do e temping last few cycles and usually just waited to see the rise for 3 days then stopped. But i always wake up through the night to pee then start calculating how long ive slept/can i take my bbt now or is it too early, and would wake up so tired because i would toss and turn and i thi k it was because i was aware i was needing an accurate bbt 🙈

sorry for the essay. Fingers crossed for all of us for next cycle🤞🏼🤞🏼

@LittleLemonPie if you dont mind me asking, how many cycles are you prescribed letrozole? And were you given a choice between comic and letrozole? Is the a stage before IVF?

I have a fertility appointment in a couple of months, following a referral made by gp, trying to understand where everything sits in the fertility referral process

LittleLemonPie · 23/02/2024 09:13

@JS5 Of course not, I will try making it short as possible 🙈 our Gp referred us back in 2022 so had a bit of a wait (but they did mess up with the refer so that added to our wait)

So we were first seen at the fertility clinic in June 2023 and I was prescribed letrozole (but I chose a blind study so I didn’t know if it was clomid or letrozole with either metformin or placebo) so I didn’t get a choice because I was happy to participate in a blind study.

So they prescribed me 6 cycles (ovulated 5 out of 6)
So on our appointment we had on the 21st of this month my fertility dr was happy to let me decide and when I asked if we could try few more letrozole cycles (because it seems to work for me) he was happy to prescribe me 3 more cycles before we move to ivf.

We will be sent an appointment to see him again in about 3 months so hoping for a bfp before then and a sticky one 🙏🏼🤞🏼

Im not sure depending on what area of country they might do things slightly different. We are in Scotland so not sure how things are for other areas of the nhs.

Really hope you get your positive before your fertility appointment ✨🤞🏼🤍

It's a good link isn't it! I'm so glad you had the support you needed 💜

I'm sorry about your BFN. I hope AF starts soon for you if she's on the way.

God this sounds so silly but I just feel too nervous to test. I've convinced myself that it'll just be negative anyway, and waiting for AF to fully kick in feels like a softer blow somehow. I hate seeing those BFNs. It seems really stupid but I just can't seem to bring myself to test.

Slightly more red spotting again this morning, same as yesterday morning, which turned light pink again by the end of the day. But I just don't see how spotting from 6dpo all the way til now (like I usually do, tbf) can be a good thing, so I'm sure there are no BFPs around. Although temp is still up.

That sounds like a good plan for you with maybe not tracking. It might give you the wee break you need mentally. It's so all consuming sometimes isn't it?

Sending baby dust and positive vibes to you too, and everyone!💗🌟

LittleLemonPie · 23/02/2024 10:07

Oh @purplecolouroffunk that does sound hopeful with your temp still being up 🙏🏼 I have read many stories of the usual pms symptoms still turning in bfp but it’s not stupid feeling so nervous because we want to guard our hearts from the upset that comes with negatives.

Yeah I feel you, it’s very consuming at times. And the 2WW just drags by. Hard to keep yourself busy at times 🙈

Please keep me updated 🥰🤞🏼 I have everything crossed 🤞🏼 for you sending lots of baby dust to you and everyone ✨🤞🏼🤍

Ladies, I threw this mornings test away after a min as was pissed at BFN....just had a look now as went to change the bin, can anyone see it, I'm thinking this is possibly indent as the dyes leaked??

BFN at 10dpo…….am I out?? Anyone have a positive after 10dpo??
JS5 · 23/02/2024 21:47

Did another test after a hold definetely BFN!

purplecolouroffunk · 23/02/2024 22:47

@JS5 hmm this is a tricky one as looks like the dye might have run cause most of the white bit is quite pink? How long had you left it?

purplecolouroffunk · 23/02/2024 22:48

JS5 · 23/02/2024 21:47

Did another test after a hold definetely BFN!

Oh no I’m sorry! Was it the same type of test?

LittleLemonPie · 24/02/2024 10:04

@JS5 aw that’s a shame 😞 I got so excited there for you until I seen your next post!

have you done another test this morning??

it’s awful seeing what looks like a bfp, last may I got indents on 2 FRER within the time frame, made a post on here too and other could see it. Next day bfn I was crushed. It’s horrible I feel for you ❤️

purplecolouroffunk · 24/02/2024 10:57

Well @LittleLemonPie @JS5 that’s me officially out. AF here in full swing this morning. I actually had a big clot which was odd as very unusual for me.

Part of me wondered if there’s a possibility I’d had a chemical. Does that sound possible though? I tested at 11dpo and negative and again this morning at 17dpo and ofc negative. No test in between though.

I’d probably have seen a positive in either of those tests if I’d had a chemical?

LittleLemonPie · 24/02/2024 11:45

Aww sorry to hear that @purplecolouroffunk 😞

I’m not sure it could have been possible but I’m unsure. If you feel it’s different for you go with how you feel and think. Would be hard to ever know unfortunately😔

Sending you all the baby dust and manifesting a positive next cycle for you 😘

Have a nice chilled weekend, bubble bath, chocolate and nice dinner 💜

@LittleLemonPie thank you so much!

I’m actually feeling nowhere near as bad as I thought I’d feel when AF turned up, which I nice. I have a sense of relief and also that nice CD1 hopeful feeling 🙂

How are you getting on this cycle? Any sight of AF yet?

I’m sending you all the luck too! Would love to stay in touch ❤️

LittleLemonPie · 24/02/2024 12:38

@purplecolouroffunk Aww good your not feel as bad as you though, the cd 1 day is always a fresh start so good to try think more positive about it 🥰 once we have our little baby in our arms will make it worth all those bfn 🥰✨

Ive just had spotting on and off, no cramps yet, was expecting af today but I’m sure it will be her in full force tomorrow. BFN yesterday twice I checked cause we were having drinks as a one off dono the last drink of alcohol I’ve had lol. So want to really be sure so just waiting patiently lol.

Thank you so much ❤️ that would be lovely to stay in touch 🥰 xx

My AF arrived today ladies. Onto the next

Can I just ask, what does 'spotting' mean? Is this really light period, so like spots of abit of blood on pad and when wiping but not continuous flow?

Because if this is spotting, then I probably should be concerned about my periods. Out of the 4/5 days of bleeding, I usually only get 1 day of normal red colour flow, the other days is usually dark brown and very light. Is this spotting?

LittleLemonPie · 25/02/2024 05:35

Sorry to hear af has arrived @JS5 ❤️

For me spotting is usually pink when wiping and maybe small amount on pad through the day, like you said not a continuous flow.

Maybe speak to your gp if you feel concerned about it, hopefully they can reassure you 💜

Lots of baby dust for next cycle ✨🤞🏼xx

OP posts:
purplecolouroffunk · 25/02/2024 16:06

@JS5 I’m sorry about AF. On to the new cycle!

For me, my spotting lasts for sometimes up to a week before AF cause I’m a serial luteal spotter.

What I consider spotting tends to be a lot lighter than my main flow and is usually light pink, sometimes a little more on the red side.

The main way I identify it from AF is that it’s a bit start and stop. In the morning I may have light pink, afternoon nothing much, then pink again at night. It’s mainly when wiping, or only leaves a small mark on my underwear panty liner.

Whereas AF is very continuous for a good few days, more in volume, and always very red.

It can be tricky to tell though. Sometimes I’ll have a couple of days that I could probably consider cycle day 1, but I usually mark the one with the more consistent flow as CD1.

I hope that helps!
