SO EMBARASSED!!!!! Just walked into chemist and asked if they would look at my pregnancy test...

I have just floated home.

I'm two days overdue and so was bursting to do wee at the shops, bought test and went into their loo.

I'm a bit confused, its a clear blue one, not a digital one. in the first box there is a line and if a line appears vertically then you are pregnant.

I saw a line so faint appear I had to squint and tip the test stick back to see... but there is definitely a line I SWEAR!!!

My heart was pounding and so I done my shop first then walked into a chemist and asked the lady if she could take a look to confirm. She looked at it quickly then said flatly "there is nothing there" - I was so embarassed.

I quickly rushed out and walked away as fast as poss.

Looking at the stick now I can make out a line so faint, it is off centre to the left and not thick like the horizontal line.

Could the woman be right and

a. I am imagining this faint line
or
b. The stick is faulty.

I have another one so don't know whether to try again on my next wee or keep it for tomorrow.

I am two days over so you would expect the line to be darker right?

I'm in a mess now.

It's better to do a test first thing in the morning as this is when the urine is the strongest. I think some of them pick up later in the day, what does it say on the instructions?

Bless you I would try again when you next need a wee but that is just me I took about 6 all in one day with my dd I just couldnt handle the excitment. Good luck xxx

Just looked at it now and you cant see it except at the very top where you can kind of see a line starting.

I did it over an hour now so I guess it was so faint it would not stay.

Ah well, I will try and hold out until tomorrow morning...

But if I was pregnant and I am two days over the line should be more obvious?

I hope this is not the case for you but someone on the symptom spotters thread had a v thin line, rang Clearblue and they said it was from a faulty batch. You could check with Clearblue and if it is faulty, get another brand and do one first thing.

I agree with what's been said already - test tomorrow morning using your first wee of the day and try using a CB digi if you can. No messing about trying to see lines with those!

I did a test when I was 2 days over with DS2, it was very very faint, so I had a drink, waited then did another one, was completely negative, I went to bed disappointed, but as I had another test I decided to do another one in the morn ing. It was a very strong positive.

I had a really faint line once, dh couldn't even see it and claimed I was imagining things
The figmant of my imagination is now playing with her cups
A first response test soon shut him up!!

I had a very faint line with my first pregnancy. He's now 8. I think it sounds very promising.

I had a very faint line with one once and tilted it here and there in the light, out the light - was a clear blue anyhow dh said i was so desperate i was imagining this faint line so did another the next am and royally stook the imaginary line up his bott (well not literally) . It will be faint if its early days and mid day unlike a few days later and a first pee. I have a ds to prove my faint line wasnt imaginary. Fingers crossed for you and to illeviate any embarrasment if you get a line i would take it in to show the lady in the chemist lol!

mimao, im sorry but it doesnt sound like a bfp. clearblue are notorious for evap lines, which (tbh) that sounds like. and would almost definately (unless you ov'd v late) show a clear line at 2 days late. but agree, try again 1st thing.

I plan to test with first wee in the morning.

iliketosleep - are clearblue known for having thin lines to left and be neg? I always thought the only thing that will make any line appear is the pregnancy hormone - oh damn it!

my little bubble of hope has been burst

well we will see tomorrow.

just been to toilet and had a slightly coloured discharge so not sure if af will appear now in the next few hours...

mimao go to tescos and buy their own brand ones, you can get several for much less than clear blue ones and pee on them all to your hearts content
