Thought I’d make a new thread for those of us Ttc in February 2024. I know some of us will cross over from end of Jan to Feb! Wishing everyone all the luck ✨❤️

😂😂 that makes sense I was considering just taking the basic boots brand folic acid but gotta wait for af to come back first 🙃

Edited

Hi I'm taking Nature Aid folic acid It is £3.02 on Amazon for 90 tablets not sure if this is cheaper then boots but thought may let you know just incase

Ooh thank you I was starting to worry what did you take instead or did you just stop vitamins all together?

Hey,
I found all multi vitamins made me feel sick. So I can't take those.
However I do take folic acid(they recommend that before you start trying, so would get on that asap) and vitamin D.
I also supplement my diet with things such as Brazil nuts every other day(high in selenium, just 2 is enough for you rda) Orange juice mixed with coconut water for hydration and vitamins, lots of fresh fruit and veggies and protein.
Hope that helps 😊

Anonxo · 02/02/2024 09:48

That’s great it is boots is £4 for 60 so I think I’ll check that out ☺️

Anonxo · 02/02/2024 09:49

All the ones with extra iron always make me nauseous

piechipsgravy · 02/02/2024 09:52

Has anyone noticed their cycle changing after starting folic acid? It's the only thing I can think that would explain why my cycle has been approx 3-4 days longer than usual (and counting)!

Anonxo · 02/02/2024 10:02

i don’t know if it was the folic acid specifically but when I started the prenatal for conception it has made my cycle longer. One of the ladies mentioned that b6 can potentially lengthen the luteal phase

Mrshaitchxo · 02/02/2024 10:06

@piechipsgravy mine were a bit sporadic, they shortened to around 26 days and then my last one was 35 days!! Whereas pre-vitamins I was regular 28 days every time so it's either a really bizarre coincidence or it was the vitamins 😂 I'm looking into a folic acid & vitamin D only vitamin from now on I think.. I've found a lot of them will advertise just those but then on the packet they have extra vitamins included such as the B6 etc..

piechipsgravy · 02/02/2024 10:17

Thanks @Anonxo @Mrshaitchxo - I'm normally 24-26 day cycle but have just come on so last cycle was 28 days. In theory I'm guessing it's a good thing as it's got me to a more typical cycle/my luteal phase was a bit short- just hope it doesn't keep lengthening! I've been having the folic acid + b12 tablets and started vitamin d yesterday.

Mrshaitchxo · 02/02/2024 10:21

@piechipsgravy ahh yes I'd say that's okay & as long as everything else seems normal!

I also found that my bbt was all over the place for the few months that I was taking them & my CM is noticeably different & seems more 'normal' again now that I'm off them and BBT is showing trends again whereas it was up and down before.. so strange. Maybe my body is just sensitive to vitamin/hormone changes haha!

RW269 · 02/02/2024 11:37

@ButterflySkies @KittyFantastica and anyone else testing about the 12th….only 10 days to go! Hope you’re all doing well and having a lovely low stress Friday! I’ve swapped to low caffeine today just incase and I’m sure caffeine withdrawal is a thing 😂

Joining following on from the January thread, finished my period yesterday so back in the game for February

RedRobyn2021 · 02/02/2024 11:40

I want this to be our month

I'm really going to try and manage my stress levels as I don't think that's helping

RW269 · 02/02/2024 13:01

ButterflySkies · 02/02/2024 13:21

@RW269 @meepthebeep @KittyFantastica @PinkFlamingo888 i think we're all about the same arent we?! Sorry if ive missed anyone!

Feeling much more positive today - trying to distract myself but had a lovely little run of a few pieces of nice news and things clicking into place, so positivity is high today!

10 long dayssssss - what we all doing this weekend to distract? And the big question - one or two cheeky g&ts after work or not... ive cut absolutely everything recently but i really fancy one this evening!

@RW269 it definitely is a thing!! It should pass soon though!

@hicketypickety been thinking of you lovely, hope you're ok and epu was ok? Huge hand hold

And welcome to the newer names! Xx

RW269 · 02/02/2024 13:35

Hi all, hope I can join, I've been lurking a bit ☺️

@RW269 I'll be testing on the 12th too, will be 12DPO 🤞🏼

hicketypickety · 02/02/2024 13:54

@ButterflySkies thank you lovely I never fail to appreciate the solidarity in these groups! EPU was ok, not great news but not unexpected - there wasn’t anything to see and HCG was already under 10, though had to hold myself back a bit when the sonographer suggested the test might have been a false positive (two different tests from two different brands…would be pretty unlucky!!). BUT the good news is they said they would refer me to the recurrent loss clinic so I am taking the positives. Good luck to everyone entering the TWE may luck be with you!!

ButterflySkies · 02/02/2024 13:54

Oh lovely enjoy @RW269!! Sounds delish!

Of course, welcome @CadoAvo 🩷

So nice to have a little group to hand hold and test with!

I had a beer last night. It was the last one left over from Christmas and I just really, really fancied it. I won't have any more alcohol now, but in December when I thought I'd missed my chances I drank quite a lot and still got pregnant. I think one would be okay. Nothing transfer at such early stages, I think the risk is maybe more falling over while tipsy?

meepthebeep · 02/02/2024 15:18

Thanks @ButterflySkies 🙏🏼 really glad you’re having a positive day 😊

I’ve found some really nice alcohol free beers, they’re the Athletic Brewing Company, they do an IPA and a golden ale type one. That said, they say they’re alcohol free but they’re 0.5% - does that tiny bit not count at all? There’s no crossed-out-pregnant-lady on the box 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hope you all have a lovely Friday 😊

ButterflySkies · 02/02/2024 16:14

@hicketypickety oh lovely, im pleased you have a referral. I hope it helps you get some answers and a way forward 🩷 hope you have nice comforting weekend plans

@KittyFantastica i hope you enjoyed it!! My hubby is endorsing a g&t tonight. He said I've been driving myself mad in the TWW for months and sacrificing everything so to indulge, as long as I wont blame one drink on the outcome (which I won't).

@meepthebeep 0.5% is absolutely fine!! I think that's what they all are. You have to remember as well if you're not actively trying or tracking, you'd likely have a drink and loads of people do before they test positive, so I'd say that's very responsible 🩷

Did an IC this afternoon out of interest and it was negative so the risk of late ovulation is ruled out now... im calling a day on the sexathon! X

SnKcampbell · 02/02/2024 16:53

Feel like i maybe behind a lot of you in the group as my period come yesterday so cant start TTC until 6th Feb

Wishing all the people who are trying or in the TTW now though the best of luck

as I'm not doing opks or btt im planning to do it every 3 days from day period end till a few days before im due.

I had a few internal scans done last year they said i have pco so some cyst on my ovaries but everything else was ok, but im just wondering how could they test for endometriosis? as i seem to get quite a lot of big clots during my period and suffer very bad with cramps and bloating and bowel issues.

i did think i was in with a chance in Jan to as did the deed in the fertile period and had a lot of symptoms I normally get before the period comes was very strange has this happened to a lot of you?

Mrshaitchxo · 02/02/2024 22:16

Evening ladies,

Just need a little bit of a vent, I'm feeling overwhelmed like it's never going to happen for me. I was doing okay and feeling fairly positive but somebody I know has just announced their pregnancy and it's really knocked me back down to earth and I'm feeling very teary tonight

I hate feeling like it's so out of my control!

Sending hugs to anyone else feeling the same 🫶🏼

RWSS · 02/02/2024 22:35

Hi ladies,
I've been going crazy last few days! I have doing rest but barely see the line. Today done a cheapie and can see the line but not sure if it's an indent!
Help! What do you think it is? I had a cp in Oct so I'm very apprehensive.
