@NLmum4 ah so still really early. Give it a day or so and if it's a real line it should be darker by then 🤞🏻 good luck!!

EK37 · 28/08/2024 11:49

@NLmum4 I can see something but deffo test again in a few days!! Fingers crossed for you! 🤞

Ncl31 · 28/08/2024 21:21

We had our review appointment today.
On the back of my drug trial and my response to the trial drugs the fertility centre have agreed to fund 6 months of ovulation induction drugs for me.
they said the positive response to the drugs and that my BMI is down to 32 are both massive positives to have and they said I have a good chance of conceiving in the next 6 months.
we can decide to go down the IVF route before then if we want because we will be paying privately but the doctor felt positive enough for us to try the ovulation induction before spending all of the money on private IVF.

i feel happy but sad at the same time, I genuinely thought they’d just tell us today that we had to have IVF so had prepared myself for that. I know this is a positive and it’ll be great to conceive naturally.

they have also told me I need to think carefully about some trips I had planned in the next 6 months. I was planning on going to Tanzania in November to volunteer with work and then hubby and I were planning on going to Mauritius for my birthday in February. I’ve decided against both of them and the centre told us we would have to postpone trying for 3 months after each trip. I just don’t want to wait that much longer to try.

EK37 · 29/08/2024 07:47

@Ncl31 ahh I am so pleased for you that you have a plan! And it’s so good that the doctors have said all of these positives! Got everything crossed for you! When will you start on the drugs?

And I would deffo be the same as you about cancelling the holidays x

Hotmalibu94 · 29/08/2024 09:07

@Ncl31 exciting plan! All sounds very positive! 💕 Totally get it's almost a bit of a anticlimax I guess when you were expecting to start IVF but really positive that they think you can conceive naturally and will fund the drugs 🙌 hopefully we'll have some good news from you very soon x

Ncl31 · 29/08/2024 20:28

@EK37 they said on day 35 I have to ring to let them know if ive begun bleeding or had a positive test. If it’s negative then they’ll give me drugs to induce a bleed then start with the letrozole then. Hoping I’ll not need them anyway.
we DTD every other day leading up to and including today, got my peak yesterday evening.
hoping that’ll be enough. If not at least I know I’ve got those to try for 6 months.

@Hotmalibu94 thank you, fingers crossed

EK37 · 29/08/2024 21:01

@Ncl31 deffo sounds like enough, the month we conceived we didn’t dtd the day of peak it was the day before and the day after so you have deffo got it covered! Let us know how you get on!

Hollie18 · 19/09/2024 20:23

Hi everyone,

How are you all doing?

@Ncl31 sorry I've only just caught up, that is fab news that doctors are positive about you conceiving naturally, however I completely understand feeling a little out of sorts as you had prepared yourself for needing IVF - I've got everything crossed for you 🤞🏼

CatiaR · 20/09/2024 01:23

Hi Hollie!

doing well here, Amelia is just about 6 and half weeks and growing nicely. Finding my way through things and learning along the way 😊

hows you and your little one?

Hotmalibu94 · 20/09/2024 07:46

Hey all!!
@CatiaR can't believe she's 6.5 weeks! What's she like? 😍

I'm good here, can't believe I'll have a 3 month old on Tuesday!!! She smiles at DH and I constantly, loves when we sing made up songs to her, loves the bath, loves sleep (we've had two nights of not needing a feed overnight so far this week!!). We've been doing sensory and baby massage classes and she seems to love massage, not convinced on sensory yet.
I just feel so incredibly lucky, she's amazing 🥹🥹🥹 We're going swimming today for the first time 💕

CatiaR · 20/09/2024 08:07

@Hotmalibu94 she’s got some personality alright 🤣 wants to be with me all the time, is super strong! Growing really well, we are still in 2-3hrs stretches but that’s not too bad. Doesn’t love tummy time but being bounced on the birthing ball, loves going for a car ride.

im doing some classes too and she’s not sure about it, sometimes happy with massage but inevitably wants to feed/is asleep during it or needs multiple nappy changes 🤣 but it’s nice to get out of the house. We want to get her swimming too so we’ll be looking into it shortly. She’s had a TB vaccine last week and even tho she cried she settles back very quick.

time is going by very quickly!

@CatiaR @Hotmalibu94 I'm so glad your girls are getting on well!

George is fab, we have just come back from 2 weeks at Disney world in Florida and he was a little dream! He loved the pool and fell asleep every time he was in there 😂 I also can't believe he is 11 weeks old, the time has just flown by! We are yet to start baby classes but have signed up to a baby and toddler fitness group which will allow me to get back to exercise but with him in tow and we all go for coffee afterwards which is lovely as I really would like to make some friends!

I can't believe that it's nearly been a full year since I found out I was pregnant and over a year since I first started posting with you girls on here, time really does fly.

Roseberry22 · 20/09/2024 10:29

It’s so lovely to hear all your little ones are doing so well. I can’t believe have fast the time has gone in the last year!

I’m back in the TWW, I still have very low hopes of conceiving naturally but should hear back on our referral to our fertility clinic in the next week so at least that’s process. DH had his 2nd SA this week so we should get the results for that as well so we’re really hoping for some improvement 🤞🏼 if not at least we have the referral and they’ll do some more tests to help us. X

Ncl31 · 20/09/2024 13:51

Ah it’s so lovely reading your update son your little ones. Seems like you’re all setttling into it great.

Camia · 22/09/2024 15:13

It's great to hear the little ones are all doing well!

@Roseberry22 Fingers crossed for you!

I'm still in a weird spot. Looking back I guess I didn't post it here but my period was late this month (due on the 2nd) and still has yet to show up but I've gotten nothing but negative tests. Very clear negatives, not even the faintest bit of a line. I have no clue what's going on. I haven't tested in about a week because it was just stressing me out so I decided to wait and if there's still no sign of my period by time it should be due again in early October I'll test again and go from there. I had what I was hoping were symptoms right before my period was due and for a few days after but they mostly went away, but now the last few days my boobs have gotten really sore again, I feel like I'm constantly having to pee, and I've definitely been very moody. So I really don't know

how are you?

Hotmalibu94 · 29/09/2024 19:32

How are you too @Ncl31?

Camia · 30/09/2024 06:08

Ncl31 · 29/09/2024 19:01

how are you?

Still no news unfortunately. I'll probably test again sometime this week if I still haven't had a period. I definitely have sore boobs still and I'm dead exhausted, so fingers crossed that means something!

Ncl31 · 30/09/2024 08:08

@Camia fingers crossed for you.

@Hotmalibu94 im okay, had a super stressful few weeks at work. So I’ve decided this cycle I’m just winging it without OPKs. I also didn’t take my ovulation induction meds to Paris as I forgot so I missed the window to take them. So this cycle is unmedicated. I have provera to induce a bleed if I get to CD35 with so positive test or period, then I can start again.
im currently cd18 today, I had a fair bit of EWCM yesterday evening so we have DTD yesterday and today just incase. Otherwise just taking it easy and letting the work stress pass over hopefully.

How are you? Getting some sleep I hope?

Hotmalibu94 · 30/09/2024 16:56

@Camia how frustrating for you! I hope you get some positive news when you do test 🤞🏻

@Ncl31 sounds good, opks can add a lot of stress so it's nice to have one less thing to worry about for a cycle. Fingers crossed you've caught your window then! Sounds positive!
Ah yes! We're currently on day 5 of sleeping through the night 🥳 so I'm a very lucky mummy! We've just arrived on our first little holiday (North West Wales) so will be interesting to see if/how the change of scenery changes things

CatiaR · 30/09/2024 17:24

@Hotmalibu94 sleeping and through the night how nice!! Amelia is currently pretty much attached to me 24/7 and doesn’t even want her dad. Barely have time to have a short bath she does go down 2-3hrs at night so not too much worse than late pregnancy but still tiring and I’ve been pumping to allow dad to give her a bottle occasionally but she refused yesterday 😂

Hotmalibu94 · 30/09/2024 20:02

@CatiaR I am incredibly lucky 🙈 they do say formula helps with sleep because it's heavier on the stomach so they tend to go longer between feeds, dunno if that's why. But I'm hoping she stays this way! 😂 You can never be too sure with babies

Ncl31 · 30/09/2024 20:25

@Hotmalibu94 ah how lovely, I hope you enjoy your little holiday.
@CatiaR ive just been to help a friend who has twins, they’d still getting her up every few hours. So I sent her for a nap this afternoon while we went for a nice long walk.

does anyone have any experience of DTD position being better for TTC? 2 of our friends swear that being on all 4s is the best way. They told some other friends and they caught. I do remember last November we did too and I got my BFP in December, but just wondered if it was a coincidence.

i feel totally disconnect from DH though which is why we dont usually go that way but I just wonder if its worth a try again.

CatiaR · 30/09/2024 20:44

@Hotmalibu94 I’ve heard of that but no clue, she’s being breastfed and currently on me all the time! Seems to be going through a growth spurt currently as she got fussier last week or so but she’s growing nicely. I have been pumping so my husband can give her a bottle sometimes but she refused yesterday, I only want to have a little bath but she says no 😂

@Ncl31 ah that’s very nice of you, I wish I could have a nap tbf but can’t complain too much, it’s worth when she coos and smiles at me now 😊

not sure about positions but I never really did that way as it’s not particularly comfy for me so we generally did with me on top so doubt position really matters but again can’t hurt either way. Fingers crossed for you 🤞

Aww bless you, I got some lovely smiles from the twins today, I only saw them on Wednesday last week but they’ve changed soo much and getting more and more smiles now.

Yeah I’m not convinced on it either but I’m swaying towards “we might as well try”
