I had my coil out last week and started my period today. God knows how long my cycles will be as I imagine it will take a while for them to balance out, but once I stop bleeding we are officially trying. Anyone else in a similar boat and want to join the thread?

I had mine out in September and have so far only just had a normal cycle. I'll be trying this month, however when I tried with m first it took nearly a year so I'm not expecting anything yet.

Did you have a period before now or it's only just become regular? We were really lucky with DD1 and got pregnant 1most month after my coil was removed. Trying not to set my expectations so high this time 🫣

I haven't had a normal period since I was a teen. My mother was a bit controlling and put me on the pill. So I had pill periods until I tried for my son. When I was off the pill I had a year of irregular periods and wasn't ovulating (doctor confirmed) when I had my coil out in September I had an 11 day bleed causing a 42 day cycle. My last cycle was 32 days which was the same before I fell pregnant with my son. so I'm in the mind of it properly won't happen for a while. 😅

Ah okay! Well fingers crossed you're not waiting too long! I'll be intrigued to see how long this bleed lasts and when I ovulate...

Are you planning to use ovulation sticks?

I've been using them on and off but this month I'm using them properly.

I wasn't going to start yet. When we tried last time I did and since then, I've been pretty spot on at knowing when I am ovulating (I still ovulated with my coil but I didn't get a period) so I'm going to see how this month goes and then use them if not. I did find them helpful last time though

Welcome!! So exciting! You'll be hoping for a bfp on Christmas Eve then!! 😍 Are the CB sticks good? I'm in 2 minds whether to try them or not. I'm on CD2 today, but now clue what my cycle length is yet

@Ontheflipside_ Thank you 😊 I’m CD3 today. Yeah so AF will be due on the 28th Dec…I’m not expecting to fall pregnant on the first month tbh as I’m 37 & I’ve been on the pill since I was 14…but I know I will still be disappointed if it doesn’t happen lol.
I personally really like the CB sticks. I start testing with them at about CD10 & it starts with just an empty black circle & then when it detects an LH surge you get a flashing smiley face & then when you peak you get a static smiley face & then you should ovulate 12-36 hours after that. I tried with the cheap ov strips & the easy@home ones were pretty good but I would just rather pay more & get an exact thing to tell me rather than looking at how dark a line is. The Premom app is pretty good though when you take a pic of the test & it reads it for you.
I do know when I’m ovulating though because I get a lot of pain during ovulation & CM.
Do you remember how long your cycles were last time you were off the coil?

I was so bad at testing early last time. I got my bfp at 10dpo which is so early. I'm determined not to do that this time 😂 well, you never know! Keeping everything crossed for you!

Okay that sounds easy! I used the cheap sticks last time and the test line was never darker than the control line, but I got pregnant so I guess I was doing it wrong 🫣😂 I am pretty good at telling when I ovulate too. I still ovulated with my iud but just didn't menstruate. Same with the CM, ovulation pains etc. Last time I came off the coil I only had 1 period before getting pregnant and I was on the coil for 3 years before I came off to start TTC with DD1. I've never been unusually long or short though. From memory it's pretty bod standard 28-30 days

@Ontheflipside_ I’m super impatient so I’m concerned I will get carried away with testing. I BBT & my temp drops the day before my period so I’m going to try really hard to just wait for that 🙈
well if you got pregnant you were definitely doing something right! 😂😂

How is everyone? I'm cd8 today, so from Wednesday I've decided I am going to start ovulation tests. DH is away until Friday night which my app says should be my most fertile day, but God knows as I haven't had a full cycle since the IUD came out

I will start the test on CD14 as I never ovulate before then & I use the clear blue digitalis which are expensive so should only use a third of the pack each cycle 😊👌🏼
Make you get bd’ing as soon as he walks through the door on Friday then! Haha

Ok so I actually did do an ovulation test today, according to my App it said to start testing, and there was a faint line. But then just now I started bleeding, enough to need a tampon, so now I'm super confused

im 36 now... been using CB digital - tested on CD 8 blank circle then had flashy smileys since then... BD about 3 or times over the week i thought i should be ovulating but have carried on with CB tests since and still had flashy smileys every day.. now on CD 21 - AF is due 12/12/23 - anyone been in similar situation and had BFP soon? im so impatient as didnt track anything with my first born 9 years ago - just happened about 6 months in TTC!

Welcome! I've not tried CB so I can't say, but when we were TTC out first, I did cheap ovulation tests and the test line never got darker than the control line, and I got pregnant so hopefully the same for you! How long have you been TTC?

So I tested with 2 cheap tests 1 vvfl and 1 nothing so maybe too early to test..🙈
