Just looking for some company with ladies planning TTC 2023. There's already a thread for Jan 2024 but would be nice to keep company for Dec :)
Initially planned to start TTC 2024 Jan but it's feels time is going too slow and too broody now.
Also, worried about age turned 34 few months ago and feel clock is ticking(just my opinion).

@FantasticalCat which opk are you using? I think it’s best to do them every day in evening after holding urine for 4 hours. A lot of peoples surges happen in the pm. If you are DTD every other day then you will have covered it anyway, even if you did miss seeing it on the strips

ThelastRolo20 · 10/12/2023 18:11

@FantasticalCat I literally rise and fall in a day so you may well have missed it but looks like you've been having sex regularly enough so fingers crossed!

KittyFantastica · 10/12/2023 18:13

@Applesandcake Oh, nice to have another lady on the same steps! :)

So, although I had a decent indicator this morning, I've only had a couple of spots since, so I don't think I've actually started today in the end. I think, from my reading, Day 1 only begins when the full flow arrives? It makes it difficult to know which day to consider as Day 1, but can't be helped.

I am due full on in 4 days and due to ovulate, according to Clue and Flo on the 27th, which is incredibly inconvenient!

ThelastRolo20 · 10/12/2023 18:22

@Sez281 managed to test with a first response after a long hold ❤️

@ThelastRolo20 definitely positive congratulations xx

FantasticalCat · 10/12/2023 18:29

@4LeafCloverBaby boots own cheapies, I’ve got a stash of clear blue digital but didn’t want to crack those open until I saw at least a slight increase on the other ones!

Thanks for reassuring me, I’m a bit of a worrier and even though it’s only month 1 I’m panicking that it won’t happen for me!

how are you getting on?

Sez281 · 10/12/2023 18:37

Aww @ThelastRolo20 There's no denying that one! How many dpo are you now? Such a lovely Christmas present after all you've been through the last few weeks 🥹 xx

MaybeBaby2024 · 10/12/2023 18:41

Ahh how exciting @ThelastRolo20 How many DPO?

ThelastRolo20 · 10/12/2023 18:43

@MaybeBaby2024 @Sez281 thank you ❤️ I'm 10 DPO, AF was due this coming Thursday. Not going to be able to fully relax for a few weeks though

Sez281 · 10/12/2023 18:54

Oh I get it, you think after a loss it's going to be so hard to get too excited. I'll be the exact same when it happens for me. Just take each day as it comes and try to enjoy it as much as you can that's all you can do x

4LeafCloverBaby · 10/12/2023 19:08

@FantasticalCat honestly I’m feeling the exact same…I have no idea how this month 1 is going to go for me. I’ve been reading so much on this site of women struggling & it just makes me feel like I will too now…even though I have no reason to 🙈 I’m getting flashing smileys at the moment so just waiting for my surge & then the dreaded tww.

Tiffany88 · 10/12/2023 19:11

@4LeafCloverBaby @FantasticalCat o feel exactly the same I've had a healthy pregnancy so I know I can carry to full term but I've got this real niggling feeling that I'm going to struggle, I think it's because I'm with a new partner and this is our first baby together and my DD is 4 now so it's been a while I don't no if I'm still capable fingers crossed for us all though

4LeafCloverBaby · 10/12/2023 19:14

@Tiffany88 its weird isn’t it…absolutely no reason just a feeling! I have spent the last 23 years trying not to get pregnant & now I want to I feel like it’s just not going to happen & I have done so much to prepare for this… to the point where if I don’t get pregnant this month, I’m not sure what else I can do to make it happen any quicker 🤦🏻‍♀️ I have too much time to think that’s my problem…& my other half isn’t really interested in talking about it either which doesn’t help…he’s a “if it happens it happens” kinda guy 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Hey everyone 👋 . This is the first time posting in any forum, is it OK to join ? Been TTC since August, BFP 21st November followed by a CP 1st Dec which was devastating . Despite being 39 with 2 children (14and 7) I'd never heard of a CP before . I hadn't even been really tracking, took the test cos I was bored one day and was gob smacked when it was positive, it would also have been really early like 9 DPO so I was pretty shocked. The only thing is, since the CP I've become.... ummmm .... a bit obsessed with TTC- using ovulation tests for the first time ever (god, theyre bloody hard to decipher aren't they) and actually actively trying to track ovulation. I just wanted to share the experience with people going through the same as its so bloody hard isn't it ! Anyway, sending love and baby luck to you all x

Applesandcake · 10/12/2023 19:28

Have you been tracking ovulation previous months?

I have primarily because I get a lot of hormone related migraines so was tracking my cycle to find a pattern. As a result I know my cycle very well and am generally very regular. I ovulate between day 13-15, and then have a 13 day luteal phase.

I did from August, and I seem to peak consistently between days 12 - 15. I still don't really understand the different phases and what they mean. I've read so much that it won't go in.

elleaddams · 10/12/2023 20:28

Second month TTC for first baba! Currently CD18, 3DPO. I bought some early tests to take next weekend.

Have anyone used the clear blue ones? Are they accurate?

ThelastRolo20 · 10/12/2023 21:13

@elleaddams I think if you use them too early they can be unclear/ a bit misleading. I think a lot of people go for pink dye tests but avoid easy at home as some people have had dodgy batches! The later you test, the clearer the result x

FantasticalCat · 10/12/2023 21:18

@jossiwood welcome!! So sorry to hear about your CP, how are you feeling now?

one thing I didn’t factor in was all of the Christmas festivities. I’ve got 2 work parties next week and I’m feeling very self conscious about drinking now, feel like my colleagues will just assume I’m pregnant!

has anyone got any tips on how to get through the parties without drawing attention the low/no alcohol thing?!

SMD16 · 10/12/2023 22:10

Hey! Can I join?

Currently on CD26 TTC #2. This is only my 2nd cycle since have DD (who will be 11 months at the end of this month), last month was a 37 day cycle 😅 anyway I am about 9DPO and have been really unwell since Friday...

Exhausted, nausea, groggy nose, loss of appetite, only managing beige foods, smell of certain things putting me off, back ache, bloating and weird twinges.

I took a FRER 6 day early test this afternoon as soon as Amazon arrived with it, BFN. Will test again in two days but actually do it in the morning this time instead of being impatient.

Last time round I had similar symptoms but thought I had jet lag and a cold from the plane. Feel like I've forgotten everything from TTC last time around though!

Sending lots of baby dust for everyone currently in their TWW x

Can you take your own wine? But pour an alcohol free one into an alcoholic bottle?

MaybeBaby2024 · 10/12/2023 22:33

Anyone else hate how similar PMS symptoms are to early pregnancy symptoms?! 😫

Today I have had a headache, light cramps in lower abdomen, nausea and off my food (not like me at all!), fatigue, sore boobs. Had all of this when I was pregnant with DS but also had some of these before AF in the past too.
It’s such a mind fuck 😅
