Anyone TTC Dec 2023

Just looking for some company with ladies planning TTC 2023. There's already a thread for Jan 2024 but would be nice to keep company for Dec :)
Initially planned to start TTC 2024 Jan but it's feels time is going too slow and too broody now.
Also, worried about age turned 34 few months ago and feel clock is ticking(just my opinion).

@Toppstiles welcome to the chat 😊 Thanks for sharing your story. From what I have read, the better your BMI is, the more chance you have of falling pregnant so I would say that’s definitely a good thing to focus on for conception as well as just generally in life! Good luck 🍀 & happy birthday 🥳 x

Hi @Toppstiles, I’m your birthday twin! Its so refreshing to read your story and realise I’m not the only one panicking slightly. Sounds like you’re more prepared than you think!

I’m feeling really nervous about DTD, I guess 20 years on trying NOT to get pregnant is a hard habit to break, does anyone else feel like this?

@FantasticalCat yes I feel that way too. I’ve never been pregnant, never even had a scare as I’ve always been so careful & to think that in a few days it will be a completely different thing is very weird. I’m so excited though. I’m also very impatient though…which I think doesn’t bode well for the TWW! lol

Ah yes hello birthday twin! Yes absolutely this - I still feel indoctrinated that getting pregnant is bad and don’t feel like I’m an 36 year old adult ready to have a child! Also living in london we have a beautiful cottage but I’d expected I’d be living in a 5 bed with half an acre when I had kids 😂😂

I think the worst thing is having to try? I really do love my husband but it’s the “trying” that I am already finding so off putting! I was actually ovulating this week but husband was travelling for work and it’s the idea of then jumping on the poor guy when he walks in from Heathrow that just feels like….no 😂😂😂 we don’t usually have to try for anything and hate forced fun! We were both laughing that we don’t know how many people are on the planet given the window of opportunity is actually that small - jeeez

Anyway - you are totally right I do feel quite prepared because I have spent the last year giving it extensive thought / googling / preparation.

I also don’t want to tell anyone we are trying, I casually mentioned it to my Mum because she’s my friend and also not an earth mother but won’t be telling anyone else. FIL knows because he’s in the industry and will take anything to the grave!

So but of a weird one today…I usually have a 32 day cycle & when I first come on it’s just a little brown that gets heavier the next day (sorry tmi!) but have come on today on day 32 making my cycle 31 days this month & it’s heavy straight off the bat & bright red! I’ve read that cycle day fluctuations of a couple of days is normal but just odd as I have been so clockwork since coming off the pill 🤔 Anyway that’s my update! So I am now on CD1, baby#1, cycle#1!! 🥳🥳

Hey ladies can I jump on! Cycle day 6, but my 23rd cycle ttc so this is my last month before I start ivf! Had a hycosy last month so really hoping and praying this will be my lucky month december 23 💫
@4LeafCloverBaby I love the name its what I called my daughter she's 5 now!

Mine were super regular clockwork for about 10 months off the pill - and like yours! However nearly a year later they have gone mental and 21 - 35 days 😱 I’m just letting them settle, husband and I are always working / travelling with work so I’m still working out how we will start TTC 😂 never in the right place at the right time!

Also a December cycle 1 girlie!! 😁 as luck would have it, today is OD, so we have started off with a bang 😉😂 seriously though, so nervous but excited to be starting this journey. Also felt like January was just too far away! I've been ready to start trying for a few months now, but my husband has only just come onboard (no pun intended this time😂). my plan for this tww is to try and enjoy it, enjoy the excitement for now. im going to try and hold off from testing until maybe 1 or 2 days before AF due.

really looking forward to sharing the journey with you all.

Hey! I'll join :) 34 TTC number 2, had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks in October but I'm now 1DPO so hoping for good news for Christmas! Good luck to everyone x

Might jump on here if that's ok. Just starting the dreaded tww and praying for a BFP for Christmas. I had a lap and dye/ Hysterocopy last cycle so hoping that it's given me a good clear out this month! I'm 41 and a year TTC #1. Had a MMC in March and chemical in July so I really thought I'd be pregnant again by the end of the year 😢 Time isn't on our side so we've just started seeing a fertility consultant, I've had my procedure which was clear and all my bloods done (except day 21 progesterone which is booked for next week) and my OH had his SA done last week. We'll meet the consultant again in early January and may have to start looking into IVF but hopefully will have a BFP before then! 🙏 Best of luck to everyone on here hoping for a Christmas miracle 🌈🎄 xx

Hi all, first time in the forums, currently ttc number 3 aged 34.
had my copper coil removed last month (14th nov) currently 8dpo according my Flo app. Really hoping it doesn’t take forever for that BFP. Everything’s all new to me as I had my first 2 children young who are now 15 and 12 🙈

Hi can I join? TTC no2. Periods have been weird since having DC1 and didn’t seem to be ovulating but finally got a positive OPK today! Yes a BFP before Christmas would be lovely ☺️

I've been trying since e end October. 12 dpo today vvvvfl but not too sure.

@Mumoffive1 in sorry I can't see anything but the camera never picked it up as well so try again in a day or two? @Sez281 fingers crossed for you this month but good you're getting all the tests done/ lining up for IVF X

@Sez281 I'm in the same boat, 2DPO and hoping the build up to Christmas will distract me!

@ThelastRolo20 it feels like a lifetime away. I'm already looking ahead to next cycle and my predicted ovulation is Christmas Day 🙈 Are you an early tester? I am but I'm really going to try and hold off this month as I've had so many indents the last few cycles that I can't trust any of them! I've also started bbt this cycle so going to try keep an eye on that rather than test too early 🙏

@Sez281 I have a 29 day cycle so my next predicted ovulation would be 29th December. I'm going to try and not test until my period is due (14th ish) when is yours due? I've never done my temp so just going to have to hope for the best

@ThelastRolo20 I have a short LP of 9-10 days so I'm due around the 11th. It helps that ovulation day was the 1st this cycle 😂 Here's hoping we can hold off testing and then be surprised by BFPs 🙏 💖
