Anyone TTC Dec 2023

Just looking for some company with ladies planning TTC 2023. There's already a thread for Jan 2024 but would be nice to keep company for Dec :)
Initially planned to start TTC 2024 Jan but it's feels time is going too slow and too broody now.
Also, worried about age turned 34 few months ago and feel clock is ticking(just my opinion).

@MaybeBaby2024 heya! It's CD17 for me today. My cycles usually last 26days. dtd CD12 and CD14, and according to my Flo app, I ovulated CD12. Definitely could be off by a day or two though. DH came down with illness then so we were only able to dtd those two days.

If I go by my Flo app, then I'm 5DPO. I have 1 pregnancy test under the sink, so I'm going to try and hold off using it (it's a FRER) as I know me and once I start I won't stop 😂

@brbttc @Cazzy87 I know if one you tests early I will, so please try and hold off for my own sanity 😂

@ThelastRolo20 😂😂 my period is due 16th, I would like to hold off until 14th to test, but I will probably test 13th 😂 hopefully won't test before that! I think if I had cheaper tests I would probably start testing from 10DPO..

im trying to hold off 😆 though i do have lots of cheap pregnancy tests so im tempted as think im about 9 dpo...

@Cazzy87 you're a few days ahead of me if you're 9 DPO so go for it 😊 maybe it'll scratch the testing itch if someone else does it haha

I use Clue to track at the moment and it gives 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th as optimum days for ovulation. The actual predicted ovulation date has changed to 27th now, but of course it all depends when my actual period arrives beforehand. I've been fluctuating a few days here and there recently.

It will be awkward as we are staying at my MIL's and all the family will be dropping in. There is a tendency to stay up pretty late and chat as we don't get together very often - I can see us having to excuse ourselves regularly looking odd

lol who will be the first to cave and do a test? I was planning to do one on Sunday but might chicken out 😅

Hey all, just found this chat and finally made a mumsnet account to join in. We're TTC at the moment.
I only came off the minipill just over a month ago and I haven't had a period, so I have no idea where I am with anything. Ovulation timing etc is all new to me. We were planning to wait a few months, but I never had regular periods before anyway so we decided just to go for it.
I feel like I want to test every other day (who am I kidding, every day) and I've got it into my head that I'd love to be able to tell everyone at Christmas face to face rather than long distance via phone call. I know it's unrealistic and would be too early really to share it anyway, but that's the vision that I have.
Nice to have some company with others who are also hoping for that positive test to come through!

@MaybeBaby2024 probably me 😂 I am going to try and wait though. The shorter the gap between the knowing and the next cycle the better I think. At least if my period has arrived I'm onto CD1 again as opposed to wondering when it'll arrive

@Tillyss wow, I have the same dream in my head of telling family and friends at Christmas, we really are hoping for a Christmas miracle 😩 month 3 of TTC and I'm 3 days late for AF but keep getting BFNs... starting to accept that I might be out this month but it's hard to let go of the little fantasy you imagine before bed 🤣🍼 sprinkling baby dust your way lovely ✨ xx

Hi all, I would love to join this thread! ✨🌷 New to TTC, 3rd month trying, I'm CD31 (I've had really irregular cycles the past three months - typical!) and 3 days late for AF. Using Flo to track but think it could possibly be a little off kilter but going with the flow (🤣) until I have a few more cycles tracked. Will probably start BBT tracking in January as this is honestly all so new and confusing to me, I've never had to listen to my body before 🤣.

@Tillyss it's also my first time posting on forums lol, I've never thought to do this but found myself quite lonely despite my partner being really excited/supportive. I have a couple friends with children / currently pregnant & it can sometimes feel so hard to watch!

So I caved 🙈😂 I did two cheap ones .. one showed a very faint line the other nothing - both different brands so now will have to wait I think before another as maybe too early!

Joining in, on cycle 11 now and had a chemical on cycle 2 but nothing since. Not due to O until week before Christmas so in that boring waiting stage! 😆

Okay I'm going to need some help with some of these abbreviations... I can get Days Post Ovulation and Trying To Conceive but CD, BFP, AF?
Are these things I need to know about 😅

@Tillyss CD is cycle day so CD1 is first day of period, after ovulation people refer to DPO (days post ovulation), BFP is big fat positive (pregnancy test), BFN being a negative! AF is aunt flow, the affectionate name for period 😂

I had the same 3 days ago- vvvfl and then nothing the next day( didn't use FMU) I'm waiting now very very impatiently as AF due Friday..

@TTCnothree are you going to test again tomorrow just in case?? It could have been too early 2/3 days ago!

@ThelastRolo20 more than like yes haha.. I'm so impatient, and constantly symptom spotting. I have the cheap wondfo ones from Amazon. I haven't gone and got any others as yet (will wait until if I'm late)

Currently ttc baby no 1! I’m 28, 29 next month. Been off contraception 2 years and ttc actively about 7 months. I’ve had a few things going on which affected my cycle like going on antidepressants and then coming off them! So I don’t really know where I’m up to!

Doing ovulation tests & DTD every other day. AF not due til the 29th December so a while to wait but wanted to get involved 🥰
