Anyone TTC Dec 2023

Just looking for some company with ladies planning TTC 2023. There's already a thread for Jan 2024 but would be nice to keep company for Dec :)
Initially planned to start TTC 2024 Jan but it's feels time is going too slow and too broody now.
Also, worried about age turned 34 few months ago and feel clock is ticking(just my opinion).

@Lowrilawson hey hun! Cycle#2 for baby#1…currently on CD8 & due to ovulate on CD18. How did your weird period/non-period end up? x

@4LeafCloverBaby yes was definitely my period just took a while to get going. Im on CD16 and definitely ovulated day 14/15 had really strong OPKs so that's good although I usually don't ovulate until day 18 but I've been off my pill, this will be the 4th month so hopefully my cycle is back to normal. I was on the pill for 6 years too be fair x

I was on the pill for 23 years! 😱 lol. I came off it in August & my cycles have been pretty good but are changing slightly.. these are my stats (sorry I do love a list haha)

How long are your cycles? When is your “know by date”? Do you test early?

@4LeafCloverBaby my cycles since stopping have been 32,25 (when I had my miscarriage), 32, and we will see this month, I usually say 10 dpo I test but this time will be weird as I've ovulated early! x

@4LeafCloverBaby yes!! And all those stories you used to hear about ‘oh I got pregnant and only missed one pill’ YE OK!! 🤣

Why did I pee on the stick and not in the cup?! I woke up with very noticeable cramping and thought, 'well, that's it, AF is here.' Got up and there was no sign. I didn't intend to test today, but decided to do a cheapie because of the cramp. I know they're not reliable though.

I had a very, very stark BFN yesterday and was quite upset. It's silly, but I was really hoping for nice news yesterday as it was the anniversary of two horrible things - my ex dumping me and my nanna dying the very same day. This was 7 years ago, and I was so close to her. I was sort of hoping that if we did actually do what seems like the impossible, it would be visible yesterday and would be like a new beginning on that date. Today is the same ex's birthday 🤣.

Do you think an early detection digital would be able to pick anything up? I'd guess I'm around 12/13DPO now.

I have had a small amount of blood this morning and I can't work out if it is implantation bleed or signs my period will start soon. I normally get a bit of blood a few days pre period but as my period has been all over the place if my period is on its way it will be an under 30 day cycle when it is mainly over 30 days. My test on Tuesday was negative and I am 12dpo today. I really don't want to waste another expensive pregnancy test

@Mummysparrow was is bright red fresh blood or dark brown?

@onetwoandthree and @4LeafCloverBaby thank you! I caved and did a six day digital two hours after the cheapie, but it came negative. I've a weak bladder, so don't think I can do a four or six hour hold. Might have to save my other cheapies for tomorrow.

It's absolutely killing me not to tell my husband. He wants to be surprised with the news and, if we have actually managed it, I think he will fall over, so I want to be quite sure. After the BFN yesterday, I'm obsessing that this could be an evap now.

@Mummysparrow hmm, from what I have read, implantation is usually dark blood & when it’s red it’s usually fresh period blood. But stranger things have happened! Keeping everything crossed it’s implantation 🍀🤞🏼

@KittyFantastica it definitely looks positive though, that's what mine looked like. The tiniest line ever 😂 I find the early response 6 days early tests are the best though. Not sure if it's cause it's a pink line not blue? I did one of them the day after my line was barely visible on a cheap strip and it was a bright pink line

I did a digital six day early response and it said 'not pregnant', and I was told elsewhere they are most likely to detect. Having said that, I thought I was 12/13DPO, but just checked Flo and it has be down as 9/10DPO! I don't actually know what date I ovulated as I actually thought I hadn't this month!

Hi, Has anyone had a positive test yet? Or possible implantation bleeding.
I had my period the 11-17thish of December. Had sex on the 26th December and on the 2nd January and today (roughly 8/9 days post ovulation I have had dark brown spotting when I wipe (implantation bleed?) My boobs have been sore and my period isn’t due for another week 🤷‍♀️. I’m going to to try an hold off until Monday 8th to test

Update: I caved.

I managed to hold for three and a half hours. All I had was cheapies and one from Clearblue fertility tracker (not the ovulation sticks), and I think... I think this is the beginnings of something. There's definitely a coloured line on all three.

I'm in utter shock. I can't believe it. I'm 35 and this is our first cycle trying. I couldn't keep it from Hubs, so I told him tonight, but I also explained how fragile it all is at this point. He is totally on board with seeing how it goes and understanding that nothing is a given. At this stage, it's a relief to just know that we are able to do this.

In terms of symptoms, I've had pretty strong cramping all day and a teeny tiny spot of blood mid-way through the day when I wiped, but that's it. I have a red dye test for tomorrow morning, then I'll grab a few more on Saturday.
