Just looking for some company with ladies planning TTC 2023. There's already a thread for Jan 2024 but would be nice to keep company for Dec :)
Initially planned to start TTC 2024 Jan but it's feels time is going too slow and too broody now.
Also, worried about age turned 34 few months ago and feel clock is ticking(just my opinion).

@KittyFantastica sp happy for you!! Tell us your secrets then?! Lol. When did you DTD around ovulation??

Thank you! It's such a shock, I don't think I'll believe it until I have a few more (darker) tests in a row!

I've put the photo of my Clue calendar here. The green dots are all the days we DTD post-period. I didn't even bother to track it before my December period, just the days after. I had a 10-15 minute lie down after each time we DTD, just to relax and give everything time to settle before I showered. I've also been taking Pregnacare Pre-Natal Vitamins since August, and Hubs has been taking the Men's version.

I'd tracked my ovulation for four months prior, and I ovulated every time on either day 13 or 14. My Clue app therefore predicted December correctly. I also used Flo, but not as much, and Flo gave the same potential ovulation dates. As it was our first cycle TTC, we were feeling enthusiastic and decided just to do it as often as possible during my fertile window. It was a challenge over Christmas as we were staying with in-laws, but it ended up being really fun.

I'd had to re-set my Clearblue fertility monitor in November as I missed a few tests when I ran out unexpectedly and messed up the cycle. I also have a Clearblue advanced fertility tracker. The monitor showed 'High Lh' between 19th December to 29th December when I gave up and stopped trying to track through them. The tracker gave nothing except empty circles the entire time. There was no peak detected by either of them at any time. On the 29th, we decided to call it a day and hope for a peak in January, assuming I hadn't ovulated that month.

Clearly I did ovulate, but it wasn't detected by either machine. As I never got a peak reading, I assumed there was no chance until a few days ago when I realised I might have ovulated earlier than I started the tracker, and that the monitor's results were incorrect the entire time while it collected data for what it thought was my first cycle with it. I continued to eat, drink and be merry the entire time over Christmas and New Year, though in moderation. Hubs' contribution was going commando for a week, he also gyms three times a week because he enjoys it.

I don't know what secrets lurk in there, but I hope something is helpful! ❤️

Congratulations @KittyFantastica

It looks like I am definitely out as it looks like period is starting.

KittyFantastica · 05/01/2024 08:40

Thank you all! I tried again with the other digital this morning after a night hold and the results are lovely and clear. It still doesn't feel real.

I had cramping all day yesterday and all night last night, but not terrible ones. Slightly higher up than an AF ache. It's weird because it's kind of like I'm aware of what's going on so can feel it happening. I feel mildly nauseous this morning, but otherwise, I still feel pretty normal.

@Mummysparrow Sorry you are feeling down lovely. Remember, it's not over until AF appears! ❤️

4LeafCloverBaby · 05/01/2024 11:26

Anyone else bored waiting for ovulation time again 😴🥱 I’m due to ovulate on the 13th.
@jossiwood how you doing hun?

Cazzy87 · 05/01/2024 13:49

@4LeafCloverBaby i would be if i knew when i would ovulate 😂stupid cycles! another cheap opk and faint line now hoping it will come sooner rather than later!

CP33 · 05/01/2024 17:31

I've been absent for a while because of a few reasons but I'm back and just caught up a little! So lovely to see so many positives <3 @KittyFantastica I'm over the moon for you!

So my husband is now having to work away, but he'll be back the weekend I'm due to ovulate, so it makes things harder, but we can only work with what we've got! At least he's coming back on the right weekend! haha.

Hope you're all well! x

Good to see you back and thank you so much!

I don't know if it will help anyone, but someone in the January thread asked 'what my secret' was and when Hubs and I DTD, etc. so I put my Clue tracking info up. I'll put it here as well in case it's on interest. Although my trackers never showed an Lh surge, we carried on as though the Clue predictions were accurate as my previous four months on there were indeed accurate. Any date with a green marker was a day we DTD.

jossiwood · 05/01/2024 21:05

@4LeafCloverBaby I'm the same, feels forever away 😂😭 my apps said the 5th (big fat no on opks), 9th and 12th but I reckon its gonna be the 12th. . Seems we'll be the same 2ww again ! For some reason I was really hopeful about last month and this month I'm kind of resigned to it not happening, I'm an idiot 😂

jossiwood · 05/01/2024 21:10

@KittyFantastica congratulations 🎊 👏 ❤️

FantasticalCat · 05/01/2024 22:44

@KittyFantastica amazing news, congratulations!

my husband has been poorly all week so haven’t been able to DTD every other day as planned. Hoping he recovers soon as according to the apps I’ll be ovulating on 12/1.

@jossiwood i feel the same as you! I was really optimistic last cycle but just feel like it won’t happen for me this month.

4LeafCloverBaby · 06/01/2024 01:24

@Cazzy87 urgh must be so tough with the shitty unpredictable cycles! How’s you Bro & Sis & Dad getting on now? Has the pressure on you eased a little?

@CP33 welcome back hun 😊Which weekend are you due to ovulate?

@jossiwood & @FantasticalCat how weird, I’m feeling that too! Last month was my first month trying & I was really confident as we did everything right! & I was kinda hoping that all this worrying was for nothing & I would be one of the lucky first cycle trying ladies…but because that didn’t happen I feel like, well what am I going to do different this month…nothing…so it’s not going to work again 🙄 I know that really stupid as it’s just luck of the draw type thing but I’ve got in my own head now 🤦🏻‍♀️How amazing would it be if all 3 of us fell this cycle…omg I’m really hoping 🍀🤞🏼

Cazzy87 · 06/01/2024 10:26

@4LeafCloverBaby yes it has all eased a little off my shoulders, brothers situation isn't better but they are sorting things out now and sis is getting some help as Dr thinks she has a little Post natal depression but she's OK. Dad is OK his diagnosis isn't good as it's terminal so can't change that situation 🤷‍♀️😕 half the reason I want to get caught quick so he can be here to see the new baby 😔
Love to all trying this month my line was still faint but there this morning again on my opk!

Lowrilawson · 06/01/2024 14:23

@4LeafCloverBaby I feel the same, not confident, on the 4th month I'm 4/5 DPO so we shall see but if it happens it happens is my thought now xx

onetwoandthree · 06/01/2024 15:48

@Lowrilawson heres hoping this month is when you’ll get your bfp 🤞

CD13 here - ovulation predicted for tomorrow but opks are still really really faint so no idea what’s going on. Got to keep trying I suppose.

@Cazzy87 glad to hear the pressure has eased for you a little. Sending positive thoughts your way.

Lowrilawson · 06/01/2024 17:50

@onetwoandthree thank you! Baby dust to you too! I bet it's so annoying not having the strong opks, I've always been lucky that mine get really dark! Keep trying! I also found that sometimes if I did it in the evening it would be darker than In the morning xx

Cazzy87 · 06/01/2024 21:07

Thank you @onetwoandthree done another opk just now and stronger than this morning... any one know how dark the line should be to indicate ovulation?
