Anyone TTC Dec 2023

Just looking for some company with ladies planning TTC 2023. There's already a thread for Jan 2024 but would be nice to keep company for Dec :)
Initially planned to start TTC 2024 Jan but it's feels time is going too slow and too broody now.
Also, worried about age turned 34 few months ago and feel clock is ticking(just my opinion).

@Applesandcake it really does feel surreal. I want my daughter to have a sibling but if I am honest, newborn stage wasn't my favourite so I am a little scared to do it all again 🫣

nah tell me this is an evap?? I ovulated last Wednesday evening(ish) because I had THE most excruciating pains that night that they kept me up. So, I’d be like 9dpo now? I do think I’m out this month 😔

Why would you think you were out this month when you have a line on a test at only 9dpo?? I don’t think that looks like an evap personally. Test again tomorrow. My money is on it will be positive.

I've still not got my AF... Day 27 for me. 2 more days til I'm definitely overdue. Still negative OPKs for me though.

Any update @jossiwood?? My funny taste has gone, feeling very snotty & run down today. No implantation bleed for me & my boobs aren’t sore 👎🏼 but my nipples do feel a bit weird but not sure if it’s where I keep poking them 🤔🤣😂😭

Hey @4LeafCloverBaby - totally despondent this cycle (all the effin testing 🙄🤣). Funny taste gone too, just feel exhausted and run down. Sore throat last night but no cold, weirdly wet down there (soz tmi!!). I've also realised that I may have ovulated later than realised which may mean I'm only 6dpo (aaaaaaaaahhhhh as if the 2ww wasn't stressful enough, although it buys me some extra Time maybe ). I don't feel pregnant, trying to come to with getting af but hopeful deep down ....

Weeeeeelllll I had what I thought was my peak the 12th/ 13th and was keeping monitoring to check for.it to go down which it did... but then on 17th had a giant peak which I secretly put down to being pregnant but now I'm thinking maybe I actually ovulated late . God, who knows ,I'm doing my own head in . Should Still know by 27th , just willing Time to hurry up !! I know I'm the EXACT same as you, trying to prepare for the worst but hoping for a faint bfp on Christmas morning! Hang in there, I managed to stop thinking about for approx 2 minutes yesterday which I'm counting as a win !

AF came as i suspected yesterday, next month 🤞

Hi everyone. I'm new around here. Anyone else 4DPO? This is my first cycle TTC and I'm already finding the TWW hard. When do I start testing? Feel like such a newbie to all this.

I’m 2dpo on my first cycle and also finding it hard already! So impatient to test and it’s ages away yet.

Oh yay it's nice to be able to chat to someone in the same boat. Have you had any symptoms yet? Only thing I've noticed is slight cramping here and there but otherwise nothing at all.

I try to ignore symptoms. I conceived both my children on the second month of trying and each time was convinced the first month I was pregnant, when I wasn’t! And then was convinced I wasn’t the second month, when I was! Then we had an unplanned pregnancy in the spring which ended in a miscarriage, where I’d fallen pregnant from a one off in my fertile window and noticed no symptoms at all.

However! My boobs do feel sensitive which I wouldn’t normally notice at this time in my cycle and I am still get twinges and aches like I would do on ovulation day. But, I’m not taking these as symptoms.

Have yo had any symptoms? When will you first test?

You're so right. I'm definitely guilty of symptom spotting, it's just so hard to wait till AF is due 🙈
Only symptoms I've had is cramping. Boobs feel normal, no sensitivity or anything. I am due AF on New Years Eve. Think I'll start testing a few days before.

What's everyone doing about drinking alcohol on Christmas? I obviously don't want to drink in case I am pregnant but I know my family and friends will be suspicious if I'm not drinking 😭 what do people do while in the TWW?

I don’t know! I know it’s early, and I’m getting a bit ahead of myself, but I don’t “feel” any different, like I have done in the past. No sore boobs, no changes whatsoever I just feel normal. Aside from feeling full of water/bigger - usually a sign that AF Is nearby. And I’m due on on Tuesday, so I’m thinking it’s that? But you are totally right, I’m jumping way ahead here, maybe I’m trying to fool myself into a state of calm an expectation 😂

Headache! Or fake sip/drink. Do you have the ability to pretend, for Instance having a Buck’s Fizz then tipping it down the drain to pour yourself a pure orange juice?? 🧃

Test again! A lack of symptoms mean nothing at this stage, every pregnancy is different.

I’m not a big drinker so that does make it easier, as no one would expect me to definitively drink… BUT it would be normal for me to have a small glass of white and given they know I want a third and will be thinking around now is when I’d start trying. I can probably get away with just saying “later on” and then getting caught up in the chaos of children, no one would notice. Or the other option is saying “yes, please!” And then just not drink it, if it’s busy enough at Christmas people won’t notice. Or make yourself a “cocktail” no one will no it’s non alcoholic! Or of course, you’re on antibiotics and then complain a lot…
