Just looking for some company with ladies planning TTC 2023. There's already a thread for Jan 2024 but would be nice to keep company for Dec :)
Initially planned to start TTC 2024 Jan but it's feels time is going too slow and too broody now.
Also, worried about age turned 34 few months ago and feel clock is ticking(just my opinion).

@onetwoandthree this could be implantation- I've read so many times people have thought AF coming and then a BFP 🤞

This wait is seriously doing me in 😔😔😔😔😔

Cantcareless · 21/12/2023 18:43

Congratulations to everyone who got BFP 🎉
How soon after ovulation did you get sore boobs etc as symptoms?
I might be only 2 dpo but feeling sore boobs. Have you had any similar experience?

Congratulations to all who’ve tested positive, what a fabulous Christmas present!

Fingers crossed for those of you in the TWW, I hope it passes in a flash ☺️

AF arrived for me today, so I’m headed over to the January thread…

3ornotto3 · 21/12/2023 19:40

Bloody amazing news @LottieW93 🥹🥹🥹 what a lovely Christmas treat! Hope you have a brilliant time sharing the news with your loved ones!! Eeeek 😍😚😍

3ornotto3 · 21/12/2023 19:42

Everyone who’s had their BFP’s recently - did you have any change or noticeable CM just before? And what was it like?

3ornotto3 · 21/12/2023 21:06

Also @Cazzy87 big huge hug to you. With you if you ever need to rant or get anything off your chest, you have lots of people here who will gladly listen. So sorry you’re having such a hard time ❤️

Cazzy87 · 21/12/2023 21:40

Thanks so much @3ornotto3 that's much appreciated! Just wrapped my daughters presents from santa so feeling bit more festive now 🎄🎁 just need to find a way to relax and not stress about things I cannot change I guess 🤷‍♀️🙁

JHL93 · 22/12/2023 05:57

I didn't want to get my BFP and do a runner and found the TWW really difficult. Everyday I wrote down my 'symptoms/changes' so thought I'd post here in the hopes it helps someone.

predicted ovulation 4th Dec (didn't use ovulation strips)
Noticeable EWCM - 1st,2nd,4th
4DPO - sore breasts when touched
5DPO - lotion type white discharge on tissue after wee (sorry tmi!) (this is odd for me I have never had it before)
6DPO - strange pulling sensation low down, like a tightness
6DPO - nausea at 5pm felt a bit sick
7DPO- really tired in afternoon had to have a nap (don't often nap)
7DPO - really sore boobs when took bra off (this is also normal PMS for me)
9DPO - walked a lot this day and felt a pulled muscle sensation near my groin area
9DPO - heavy, sore boobs again in evenings
9DPO - this evening I stayed away with work and slept 8 hours straight. I already have a 5&3yr old and a snoring husband so non disturbed sleep hasn't existed in years I found this strange how tired I was
10DPO - realised I'd been constipated for a few days when usually quite regular
10DPO - caved and did a test in evening and got my first squinter on a cheaply test strip
11DPO - did my first FRER and was light but positive
13DPO - (day before AF was due) had some horrible cramping and tinged brown discharge when I wiped) was convinced I was having a chemical or early MC as never had implantation pain or bleeding/discharge before) only lasted around 24 hours
15DPO - got my 2-3 confirmation on digital and have been tracking line progression since

apart from being hungry and thirsty now I don't really have any symptoms. Hope this helps someone as I was looking for any symptoms (hence the list!) some may of been pregnancy and some just coincidence

good luck to you all xx

everhopefulagain · 22/12/2023 07:14

Can we have a list of everyone who has got a BFP? I've lost track, but congratulations to you all.
It also seems I've a lot of us on the thread have other rubbish things happening in their lives (aside from tcc) and I'm so sorry for all of you and am sending hugs and good wishes.

Linalou12 · 22/12/2023 07:39

Been a bit AWOL but just catching up with the thread now- huge congrats to everyone with BFPs! Sending love to all of us who are having a tough time atm- I’m sorry, it can be a really difficult time of year.

Im 6DPO today and symptom spotting every little twinge but realistically don’t think I have any tbh! Finishing work for Christmas today and have lots of Christmas activities from tomorrow so hoping they will distract me!

Applesandcake · 22/12/2023 08:18

Officially 1dpo in my first cycle ttc no.3… crazy! I’ve been agonising over if we should have a third since my second was 3 days old and I looked at him, full of love hormones, and thought “oh my god, he’s so perfect, he can’t the my last!”. I thought it would wear off but it never has (and before him I have always wanted three but was trying to be “sensible” and get used to the idea of 2).

We will dtd the today one last night, and have dtd ever day since Sunday (I know some people go for the every other approach, but after reading about it seems overall dtd every is best assuming your partner does not have a low sperm count, and we have no reason to think he does but you never know).

Im even obsessed than I thought I’d be. I’ve been the same every pregnancy but I thought though maybe third time around, i would finally be a little more relaxed, but I’m not! I can already see I’ll start testing 8dpo!

I’m going to try my hardest to really enjoy chirstmas and focus on the kids, and hope that distracts me.

Mummysparrow · 22/12/2023 09:06

As expected I am ovulating today 3 days earlier then expected. Low lh last night and then it is creeping up this morning. So told my husband so he knows that BD is on tonight 🤣

CharliP33 · 22/12/2023 10:14

@JHL93 That is so useful to know and really interesting! <3 Thanks for sharing that! xx

3ornotto3 · 22/12/2023 11:16

I caved and tested… negative 🥺

it wasn’t FMU though, and I’m not due on until Xmas day/Boxing Day so perhaps got a bit ahead of myself there. Feeling a bit flat though. Why did I do it 😂🥲

RRAEE · 22/12/2023 12:06

Currently in the TWW due AF around the 30th of December. Hoping for a positive this month. Trying so hard not to symptom spot as its always amounted ti nothing in the past and dont want anymore disappointment 😓

BeWhereYouAre · 22/12/2023 15:20

@3ornotto3 I also caved and tested a day or so ago, and negative here too. But like you I still have 3-4 days where AF could still arrive. I have heard some women that are pregnant still don't show positive on the early tests until the day before they're due or even after they're due... so you never know. But at least when/if we do get our AF, then we should hopefully get some relaxing time to unwind over the christmas break and new year, whilst we get ready to ovulate in first week of Jan... so that could work for us, ensuring our bodies feel safe and nested to do what they need to do. I know you have the stressful hospital referral hanging over you though. Sending you positivity and strength! Make sure you treat yourself with utmost love and care these next few weeks.

Congrats to everyone with positives... really wonderful to celebrate either privately or with family you're sharing it with.

Everyone still waiting or on to the next cycle hang in there ❤️ A bright new year awaits ✨️

Linalou12 · 22/12/2023 15:27

@RRAEE we are AF twins- mine is due 30th too! Im also struggling so much with symptom spotting atm. Will be good to hopefully know either way before NYE though!

RRAEE · 22/12/2023 15:59

@Linalou12 its the worst when its so similar to PMS/AF ! Hopefully we get our positives. Not knowing and having to wait is the worst.

Sending baby Dust to you and everyone else who is trying ! 🙂

Ohh we’re on a similar time line. I think I ovulated yesterday. How many cycles is this for you?

KittyFantastica · 22/12/2023 20:44

Hope you're all doing okay at this busy time!

I've finally started getting a rise on the digital tracker so we are in full swing of DTD until I've ovulated. I was just thinking about it and one of my te

Oops, not sure what happened there!

Continued: one of my monitors tells you when you have peaked and then basically goes back to zero chance of conceiving. But the other one has a static smiley for 48 hours once it detects ovulation. Would 1DPO be considered after that 48 hours or the next day after the peak was detected?

I guess what I mean is, do you continue DTD 1DPO to cover the base in case it was a late ovulation, or is there not much point? Still trying to get my head around it all.

4LeafCloverBaby · 22/12/2023 21:16

@KittyFantastica hiya, once you get the static smiley you will likely ovulate the day after (you can confirm this with BBT) so you should have sex for 3 days in a row, miss the forth day & then DTD again on the 5th day…that is the sperm meets egg plan advice

everhopefulagain · 23/12/2023 08:32

6dpo and the wait is killing me!

Mummysparrow · 23/12/2023 08:47

@Applesandcake I have been monitoring my last few cycles as I wanted to get through all my Christmas events before trying so this is my first cycle of TTC number 2. My cycles have been all over the place since having my daughter and are normally between 30 and 35 days but have occasionally been 28 days. This is why I assumed I would ovulate on Christmas day as I have ovulated cd17 the last few cycles so ovulating a few days early nearly threw me off. Thankfully we managed to DTD twice in my fertile period but not sure if it is enough or not

It’s my first cycle too! But I am trying for no. 3! All feels very surreal.
