Just looking for some company with ladies planning TTC 2023. There's already a thread for Jan 2024 but would be nice to keep company for Dec :)
Initially planned to start TTC 2024 Jan but it's feels time is going too slow and too broody now.
Also, worried about age turned 34 few months ago and feel clock is ticking(just my opinion).

That will be why, I'm pretty sure you need to use one you stick under your tongue that reads to 2 decimal places for bbt

4LeafCloverBaby · 11/12/2023 15:57

@Fawklight @elleaddams you need a basal thermometer that works to 2 decimal places, you can take your temp under your tongue before you sit up in the morning or vaginally

@Sez281 did you have a nice dinner the other night? Any update on AF or has she stayed away? X

@ThelastRolo20 Had a lovely chilled night thanks. AF was due today and no sign yet 🙈Took a test this morning and BFN I'm only 10dpo according to opks and 11DPO but still not going to get my hopes up. If AF is delayed a bit it means by luteal phase is starting to get longer which is great. Also I had good day 21 blood tests today (progesterone was 38 which confirms ovulation) plus my OH got his results and he's convinced he has super sperm 🙄😂 So if AF arrives I'll be disappointed but feel confident going into the New Year that it might just happen without ivf 🙏

How are you doing? Any symptoms?

Babno3 · 11/12/2023 19:28

Hi everyone, I have noticed this thread today and wanted to jump on. I hope you don’t mind. So we are trying to baby no.3 and we tried on 1st December and on 4th as the Flo app estimated ovulation to be around 4th or 5th. I used opk on 4th and had two dark lines but this was the only day.

Anyway I’ve always had implantation spotting and yesterday this spotting started.

Tested last night as I had cramps and had very very faint lines but these are my tests this evening. I’m guessing I must have ov’d earlier than I thought. Let me know what you think 😆💗

Seems we are exactly the same @Babno3 ! Also trying for number 3, Flo says I ovulated on the 4 or 5th too and we DTD on the 1st, 2nd and 4th. They look pretty positive to me!!! 🤩 when are you due on?

Babno3 · 11/12/2023 19:47

Oh do you really think so 😆 I haven’t even checked when I’d be due as I thought there’s no way that I’d have positive tests yet lol I’ll have a check 😬 That’s so strange that you’ve all the same dates 😍 fingers crossed that you will get a bfp!! Only for the spotting I wouldn’t even have tested lol x

JHL93 · 11/12/2023 19:55

Yes looks it! Although you may well of ovulated a little earlier as I don't think ovulation happens until 6-10dpo and today you'd only be 7DPO so not been long for the hcg to build up - but regardless it deffo looks positive!! I'm not due until the 19th but the wait is killing me!

Babno3 · 11/12/2023 20:17

@JHL93 well I just took a digital and low and behold 😆 I’m just beyond shocked 😂 but delighted obviously! I had lots of twinges today so definitely knew in myself that something was up lol when are you thinking of testing?xx

No mistaking that test!! Huge congratulations 🥳 💗 I'm due AF on the 19th so will try and hold out until then

Babno3 · 11/12/2023 21:27

@JHL93 well I’m really hoping this isn’t a chemical! Fingers crossed that it sticks and that I just ovulated a lot early!! Hopefully you get your bfp too 🥰x

MaybeBaby2024 · 11/12/2023 23:14

Congratulations @Babno3 !!

These symptoms are driving me mad. Have felt so nauseated all day (had hyperemesis with DS1s pregnancy so expecting it again). Forgot to test first thing this morning as was in a rush to leave the house. Think I’m about 9DPO today so would hope to see something on a FRER tomorrow.

The uncertainty is so hard!

brbttc · 12/12/2023 05:18

CD23 and either 9 or 11 DPO. I'm only using the Flo app this month so I'm not sure when exactly I ovulated. App says CD12. dtd CD12 and CD14.

Took a test this morning. But didn't realize until I pulled it out from the cupboard that it was a first response digital. Used it anyways and it was a "NO". I'm annoyed at myself now!! I shouldn't have used it once I realized it was a digital!

Kinda feeling disheartened now and don't want to test again until my period is due at the weekend. I tried not to but I was definitely symptom spotting for the past few days. I think I did get my hopes up and now I just feel so down. I think I need to take a deep breath as I know I could be in for a long long journey and getting disappointed this early in to the journey is silly.

ThelastRolo20 · 12/12/2023 07:22

@Sez281 that's great news about all the tests, and even if you do need IVF that'll be a great starting point ❤️ I hope AF doesn't arrive but if she does enjoy all the wine, cheese and cured meats over the holidays!

No symptoms but I'm only 4 weeks and to be honest with my previous two pregnancies (one of which ended with my DD) I didn't have any! Mainly tiredness but that's fine 😊

Fawklight · 12/12/2023 09:41

I've got like a dull twinging ach in my stomach for a few days but I'm only 4 days passed ovulation (if I have ovulated)

Cazzy87 · 12/12/2023 09:48

so AF is due from today (only came off the pill in sept so hoping my cycles are now regular) first AF was 16/10 then 2nd was 14/11, (so guessing i'm around 28/29 day cycle as i was before i was on the pill) not testing anymore now until i'm late but then how late do i leave it 🤔😂

KittyFantastica · 12/12/2023 10:37

@Applesandcake Looks like we will be side by side for this one - AF arrived two days early and I'm now due to ovulate 24th! Clue and Flo have been pretty accurate for me thus far in line with two digital ovulation test trackers I've been using.

It's lovely not to feel so alone in this. Congrats to those with BFPs this week!

ThelastRolo20 · 12/12/2023 10:45

@Cazzy87 you did better than I did! I tested 3 days before AF was due. If you can hold out maybe a couple of days but I wouldn't be able to wait any longer 😂

Cazzy87 · 12/12/2023 10:59

@ThelastRolo20 i know ! 😆 i may not be so patient on the next cycles if this one hasnt worked! i did have some cramps about 4 days ago and was hoping it wasnt AF coming early but it wasnt ...

I’m so excited to get going! Knowing this will be my last baby, and all being well, the last time I will eventually have a positive pregnancy test feels so surreal and makes me want to soak up all of it - even the disappointment if I get negative tests for a while!

with my first two pregnancies I was so worried about being infertile (no real reason why!) and secondary infertility, but I feel much calmer this time. I know that’s still possible but after conceiving easily enough twice, I’m more confident, meaning if I don’t fall pregnant straight away I’m hoping I won’t catastrophise that it will never happen!

KittyFantastica · 12/12/2023 15:48

@Applesandcake Same, though it's my very first ever cycle and I'm 35, so I know the odds are against me and I shouldn't let myself get too excited. We've been through so much in the last few years, we could never have started earlier. I keep hoping we haven't left it too late and trying not to get too invested, but it's impossible.

I guess with baby number 3 you know you can do it and have done it all very successfully before, so there is plenty of encouragement there :).

I think the odds are more in your favour than you think! 3 of my friends have healthy babies and one is pregnant at her second from mid-30s. One was 35, one was 36, the other 37 and the friend who had her baby at 35 is pregnant again now at 37.

Applesandcake · 12/12/2023 18:28

I agree. None of my friends had babies until their mid 30s, and although a small sample size, none have had problems. I had my first at nearly 33, second at nearly 36, and I’m now 38. Most people at 35 don’t have problems getting pregnant.

4LeafCloverBaby · 12/12/2023 19:23

Well that was a surprise…just got my positive opk a day earlier than expected! Time to DTD!! First baby& first cycle…have been waiting for this for months & now I’m shitting myself! 😂🤣😂😭

@elleaddams

Thank you both, this gives me a bit more hope! All of our friends who intend to have children are on their second, third or are done now. We are the last of our group to start. My own mum was 36 when I was born and my husband's mum was 40. He and his twin brother were born the day after her 40th birthday, so I know it's possible.

We'll just see how it goes :)
