I did SMEP with my middle and it was quite structured but definitely worked for me!

April is the perfect month for me too, so obviously Ive put way too much pressure on it 🤦
We have only just started trying this time, but the memories have alllll come flooding back.

chemical pregnancies sound just heartbreaking, sorry to hear it's happened to you twice. How long have you been trying for no2?

From December 💛 I think every month has been a bit of pressure, but as time goes it gets harder to keep up. April would be great, but also May. I think I'd want to skip June just because of my little boy, but yes any baby please 😂

CD5 here, last day of AF I think, as definitely lighter. Then I will start OPK and will be temping too. I would love to do SMEP but I think every other day would start do make me not want too and then I’d end up kissing my fertile window I think. So I think I’m going to go with when I fancy it and when the opk comes back as peak too.

Janeykat · 22/07/2023 12:02

@BlossomTree123 hi cycle twin im on CD 5, last day of period too! Do you start OPKs straight after your period? I was going to wait until Thursday (CD10) but then I might miss something🤔 I know what you mean about the every other day thingI think SMEP would be too much for my partner😅😅 and takes a lot of the spontaneity out of it. Both times I got pregnant before were two days before ovulation so definitely going to aim for that one, its my lucky day🤣

Janeykat · 22/07/2023 12:41

Oops no idea how/why half the text in my last message is crossed out🤔

Boobag · 22/07/2023 16:45

Just started bleeding 3 days early, guessing I now count today as cycle day 1? X

RaisingCornishWildlings · 22/07/2023 16:59

@HopefullMumto4 hi, similar here that I fell pregnant easily first three times (though was in 30s for all of them- was 33, 35 and 38 (almost 39) when I gave birth.
Turned 40 in April and hoping I still catch quickly as my mum was later with having me and my sister and didn't have any problems getting pregnant!
I'm on day 3 of AF after an insanely long 49 day last cycle... I'll be relying on OPK to know when ovulating, but hubby and I just said we'll have to have lots of sex in August 😂
Might be a May baby, so would be about 2yr 2m between no 3 and 4- ideal as 2y2m between 1 and 2, and 3 years exactly between 2 and 3!
Hoping for another girl 🤞

longingtobe23 · 22/07/2023 17:06

@Boobag if it continues then yes I’d say so! Sorry she’s early

anyone else CD8? I’m not trying anything very new this month but it’ll be my second box of Impryl hoping that’s starting to kick in 🤭

GinAndBearIt90 · 22/07/2023 21:09

Hi all, hoping I can join 😊 I'm 33 and TTC baby #3. We've two little boys already (3 and 1) so hoping for a final baby in 2024! Wasn't really planning to start again until next cycle as we are just heading on holiday for a few weeks and then I will be back to work after a long mat leave so didn't want nausea to get in the way of those things...but it looks like I'll be keeping an eye this cycle after all as we spontaneously DTD unprotected yesterday on ovulation day 🙈🙈🙈 I think I'm 1DPO today. My apps are saying two different things but I had awful ovulation pain yesterday so we will assume that was the day 🤷‍♀️

FirstTim3Mummy · 23/07/2023 10:37

Honest opinions please 🥺😔
Tests from top to bottom are oldest to newest

Tes004 · 23/07/2023 10:44

@FirstTim3Mummy looks like some evaps and maybe somevfp.
could have been a chemical no way of knowing for sure without bloods to compare - I’ve had some crappy tests before which were clear bfp low and behold bloods were under 1 !! Still devastating tho . X

Tes004 · 23/07/2023 10:48

So I re looked at my cd and I’m pretty sure I’ve got it a little wrong 😑 cd 34 and now positive on lh -
This morning one negative this would be 3 surges in one cycle - how annoying is this !!!

Tes004 · 23/07/2023 19:29

@LoobyLoo92 did you re test x

longingtobe23 · 23/07/2023 19:45

@FirstTim3Mummy id get another brand tomorrow and test first thing!
defo some evaps or very light positives there how frustrating, if you’re over 12DPO a good early test will give you an answer 🤞🏻 For you!

anybody tried evening primrose for your cervical mucus?

FirstTim3Mummy · 23/07/2023 20:20

There are 3 of the tests that I know for sure weren't evaps as they appeared within about a minute of doing the test. The rest were slower to appear. But from Monday to Friday the lines gradually got stronger to a definite faint positive and then they just got weaker and now nothiing at all. I got boots early 5 day tests and took one this evening and it's negative. Saving the second one for tomorrow first pee.

The issue is I was told to take 400mg progesterone 2x daily from Thursday upon positive test. So I have been. So if it's a chemical, it won't bleed out until I stop taking progesterone. But I don't want to stop taking it unless I'm 100% sure I'm no longer pregnant

Just feeling a bit crap. This would be my 4th miscarriage in a year

Sorry for the downer post 😔

longingtobe23 · 23/07/2023 20:34

@FirstTim3Mummy dont be sorry, but I am sorry to hear that sounds heartbreaking to go through.
is there any way you can you ask/ call for bloods to see what your levels are in order to know if you need to continue or stop?
I also thought they looked 100% positive just said perhaps evap as didn’t want to bear bad news now they’ve faded down :(

LoobyLoo92 · 23/07/2023 20:51

I did re-test yesterday morning, 11dpo, and got another faint positive. Happy and keeping my fingers crossed things progress well.

Sorry to read about your 3rd LH rise, that must be so confusing and I know how crap it feels not to know what's going on with your cycle. Have you had a cycle this long before?

Ncl31 · 23/07/2023 20:54

@LoobyLoo92
that looks like a good positive. Fingers crossed for you.
My DH is away with work from Tuesday through to Saturday/Sunday, hoping I can hang on testing until he’s home.
As we’re TTC our first I’ve only ever tested when he’s been home. If it was positive I wouldn’t want to tell him over the phone but also probably could burst with excitement to wait until he’s home.

Tes004 · 24/07/2023 13:00

@LoobyLoo92 that looks a lot more than a faint positive ! Huge congratulations to you - relax now 😉
I’ve had some weird cycles - I have pcos so not unusual for me but only starting tracking my lh cm etc the last few months - I had hormone levels checked as thought peri menopause on the horizon but everything came back fine , I do feel down like what’s the point in tracking - if I went off positive smile face and drop in my temp I would be 22dpo today lol and yesterday bfn - but then I had clear positive tests 3 days ago for 2 days and ewcm didn’t bother temping !! Dtd just encase this was ovulation but honestly who knows - we go on holiday next week and I really didn’t want af there !! Wish if it was coming it would hurry up - lol thought how many times I’ve dtd it would have encourage it ..

HelloMoon87 · 24/07/2023 21:33

Hi, I'm CD10 tomorrow. Likely ovulating on Sunday or Monday, so lots of dtd this week. I am still undecided whether to do SMEP, I don't want to run out of steam too early 😂 I think I will though, it's one of the less stressful weeks so hopefully we will find the energy.

How's everyone doing? It's quiet here 😂

Ncl31 · 24/07/2023 21:37

@HelloMoon87
im currently 6/7 DPO, didn’t do OPKs but all 3 apps I use predicted ovulation around that time and experienced pink staining alongside left sided cramps.
today I’ve felt very emotional, had a sniffly nose and an increase in watery, stringy CM.
im sure its all in my head but got my fingers crossed.

good look with the SMEP, my DH wouldn’t cope with the pressure I don’t think.

MrsP20202 · 24/07/2023 21:55

Hey ladies thank you for all your kind words in the last thread and sorry for my absence iv been packing the house up as we have bought a 3 bed Victorian terrace and move in Saturday so been very busy busy busy ! Hope you are all well ! I haven’t even had the chance to get DH to bed 😂 I wouldn’t know my cycle date after a chemical would you just count from when I started bleeding? Xx

longingtobe23 · 24/07/2023 22:16

@HelloMoon87 we must all be waiting for our peak times 🙊
I am CD10 I ovulate later, I am usually CD16-17 for my peak OPK

I am planning on every other day minimum and twice during peak, it is my first month on my higher metformin dosage and better vitamins I am praying for a miracle this month 😖

BlossomTree123 · 24/07/2023 23:15

Hi all Sorry I’ve been MIA, first day of AF today so feeling better. CD7 today. So not ovulating for a while. Going to start OPK tomorrow.

HelloMoon87 · 24/07/2023 23:53

@Ncl31 I've got everything crossed for you! Yes SMEP does sound quite full on. My main aim is to cover the day before ovulation (sounds so simple, but I've found it hard!) and do opk throughout the month to make sure I don't miss it!

@MrsP20202 after a chemical, I seem to ovulate a bit later around CD17, but might be different for different people. I counted bleeding start as CD1. Congrats on the house purchase! You must be looking forward to unpacking and settling in. Did you move far to the new house?

@longingtobe23 I think we have quite similar plans, I'm looking forward to having a cycle buddy in the tww. I'm trying to take it easy but it is so hard 🙈 I ovulated cd 17 last cycle but usually seems to be cd 16, quite a wait...

@HelloMoon87 no not at all thank god! moving from manor park to Plaistow so still in east London :) if I count from when I started bleeding I think it makes me cd7/8 I didn’t actually bloody log it !
