@HelloMoon87 this is the first month I haven't bothered with premom charts coz I was fuming it was never registering my opks properly 🤦‍♀️😂😂

@magicalmama im only around 3dpo so no I haven't

It's gone back down this morning so god knows what happened 🤷‍♀️

missmae · 14/08/2023 08:28

@Kellyaust do you have any signs of ovulation like last time or no? you do get a second estrogen surge roughly a week after ovulation which can cause LH to surge sometimes, maybe yours was a bit sooner 🤔have you dtd just in case?

HelloMoon87 · 14/08/2023 08:32

@Kellyaust yeah I'd probably dtd just in case 😅 bbt is more accurate than opk but might need 3 days consecutive higher temps? Did you have higher temps for 3 days or so? I did get randomly higher opk for few days in my luteal phase, so it might be random still. It's such a minefield. This was the only cycle where things were increasing and decreasing for me, all cycles before I get some puzzling opks haha

OP posts:
Kellyaust · 14/08/2023 08:54

@missmae nope no other signs at all, so puzzling I'll attach pic of when it dried lastnight... Oh really I didn't know about the estrogen

@HelloMoon87 yes my bbt has stayed up no other dip at all, really strange isn't it this is my first month of strong and long opks then this happens 😂

And yes me dtd lastnight just in case, we only missed Saturday coz we needed a break and thought OV was over. Hopefully it was n this was just some weird hormonal thing 🤞

HelloMoon87 · 13/08/2023 18:37

@cth96 I see it. What dpo are you?

I'm not totally sure. I thought I was maybe around 8dpo but I just did an LH strip this morning and it's quite dark so I'm convinced the Boots test was an indent. Just waiting for a FRER to arrive today to confirm.

@cth96 don't want to get your hopes up but from around dpo 9, my lh strips were near positive and getting darker day by day

@Kellyaust and now you can relax 😂 good luck!

So I’m sooo confused - cd15 clomid this month 2-6 cd and just woke up to a little bleeding - dark and bright and with ewcm - enough to wear tampon - anyone had experience with this and clomid ? X

Thank you :) I will see when I get my FRER delivery later today. I have cramps that feel like I'm about to start my period and an off tummy so I think I'm probably more likely to be rising due to AF sadly!

longingtobe23 · 14/08/2023 11:59

Hi all - I am certainly out for this month now, af came a day early and earlier ovulation this month

so I am happy I managed to get some shifts there 🥰
I have fertility consultant in two days and I think I’ll be taking some time to focus on my fitness and health (not obese but could feel better in myself) less stress wine 😅

I think threads whilst super helpful can also make me addicted to TTC but I know I’ll get there and will be back when I’m ready
thanks for all your support and best of luck to you all ☺️

HelloMoon87 · 14/08/2023 18:18

@longingtobe23 good luck with the appointment, do keep me updated! I'd love to hear the good news 💚
It might be a good idea to go off mumsnet for a bit, I did that in June. I did come to mumsnet even more determined, so maybe not the best learning 😂
I have all the hope for you to get your bfp soon xx

Hey, just an update from me so the opks went super light and negative yesterday. Today it's back positive 🤦‍♀️ so confused now... I did have my ovaries scanned in may during my mmc and they said they looked fine... But do you think I could've developed pcos or something?

cosymama2020 · 15/08/2023 08:01

I’m the same @longingtobe23 when I’m on the thread I get obsessive almost but had a very busy last two weeks and only really thought about it all properly yesterday.

I don’t have AF yet but I know I’m definitely out. Have zero symptoms and although it’s early (9 DPO) I had a negative test today.

@Kellyaust thats odd! What tests do you use? It’s very unlikely that you would have developed PCOS in space of a couple of months and it would have definitely shown up on your scan.

I use the one step opks iv always used the same ones, just done another one and now it's gone back down a bit it's so so strange never had it happen before. Oh good that's good to know and my periods seem OK... I was thinking can LH go up and down like that if you're perimenopausel.... But my periods n everything are fine

Doodlestar · 15/08/2023 09:51

I think I now have another tentative BFP to add to the tally for the thread this month! I'm either 13 or 14 DPO and this is a boots early test.

The line is in the same place as I thought I saw a vvvvfl on Saturday but I think that may have been an indent line, given today's is still quite faint. It is definitely pink though!

Hope everyone is doing well and sending lots of good wishes for the pregnancies and for future cycles 🤞🥰

rosecbrm · 15/08/2023 10:13

Congratulations to those on their BFPs!

CD6 for me, does anyone use the clear blue ovulation sticks? Wondering whether to purchase or not?

Sending lots of baby dust to all! X

cosymama2020 · 15/08/2023 10:27

@rosecbrm yep I use them, been great for me so far 😊

missmae · 15/08/2023 10:31

@Doodlestar how exciting! Congratulations! ✨

Mango30 · 15/08/2023 11:17

Hi ladies, can I join you all ☺️ congratulations to everyone with a bfp, and big hugs to everyone ttc 🤍

I'm just finishing AF on my second cycle after a Mc in June, following a chemical in January. Starting to feel a bit better now AF is finishing! Onto the next month 🤞

I'm a serial OPK tester 😅 but im considering not doing them this month, as when I gave up last time was when I got pregnant... although i sadly later lost the pregnancy.

i went to a private docs and they advised me to not bother with all the tests as they think my losses so far are just bad luck, but they did say I could do a transvaginal scan. Has anyone else had this done and did it help with anything?

Janeykat · 15/08/2023 11:27

Hi @Mango30 Im very sorry for your losses and hope you are feeling ok xxx

I have a similar story, I had a chemical in February and a miscarrage at 6 weeks in June. Im currently 4 weeks pregnant so its a big mixture of emotions!

I did get a transvaginal scan after my miscarrage-- it was mostly to check that my womb was clear and they checked the thickness of the lining. It was reasurring in a way that nothing was obviously wrong but I dont think it can give much information. They advised me that my partner should also be taking folic acid but that was it really.

This cycle I cut out all caffine and alcohol, I also started taking 75mg of aspirin every evening after ovulation. Ive no idea if that helped get my bfp but it makes me feel like I am doing something. Im seeing my doctor on Thursday and hoping they can refer me for an early scan🤞🤞

Best of luck to you, I hope it all goes really well xxx

cth96 · 15/08/2023 12:18

The line on the Boots test was an indent as I suspected. LH was quite high again last night with a flashing smiley on CB so I don't know if I'm ovulating after it failed the first time when I got my static smiley or it's just fluctuation. Had a tiny show of pale pink CM/blood today too - could be ovulation bleeding or implantation bleeding - so confused 😞 Just going to wait and see what happens over the next few days.

Huge congrats on your bfp @Doodlestar! This thread has been wonderful to be part of - so many bfps!

ttcthoughts · 15/08/2023 12:25

@Doodlestar such a good positive congratulations :)

@Mango30 your story is exactly the sames mine chemical in jan then MC in june. how are you feeling after them?

HelloMoon87 · 15/08/2023 14:03

@Doodlestar congrats, great news! Wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy 💚

@Mango30 similar story here, 2 early miscarriages at 5 weeks in Feb and May. I did have tv scan, semen analysis for partner, thyroid/thrombosis tests after them. TV scan was not very useful, it checked for lining and potentially any issues, they said it all looks "fine". I was told by the doctor at the time to try baby aspirin and progesterone in future cycles, as "they can't hurt". There are more tests to do, but I was also told that I got unlucky if these basic tests come back ok

@Janeykat @ttcthoughts and @HelloMoon87 sorry to hear you've all been through the same/similar, it's awful! Solidarity with anyone else who's been through/going through this too 🤍

@Janeykat congratulations on your pregnancy, your story gives me hope! I've decided to try no caffeine and alcohol this cycle too as I feel like my sad wines haven't been helping.

@ttcthoughts I'm pretty low to be honest, and really particularly bad on AF week. It's been worse after the second loss. I deal with my emotions by running long distances but I think I might be adding even more stress on my body so need to find a new way of working it all out. Any tips welcome!

@HelloMoon87 wow that's good you had all those, did your docs offer you the tests? Mine won't offer unless I have another mc, and it's too expensive to go private for me.
