Eyes please?

I think I’m about 8dpo. Not trying to conceive but we had a slip up this month.
I tested this morning with fmu and seemed to get a very light line appear within the first couple of minutes. I don’t know if it’s something or nothing.
please could anyone offer any opinions?

Thank you for taking the time to look. I thought these tests were pretty notorious for these naughty lines though, so I’m still not sure. I guess I’m still very early as AF not due for another 5-6 days

I think it's an old evaporation line I don't see any colour sorry, try in a couple of days I would do a digital test next time.. Goodluck baby dust your way

I do think it looks like an evap but it was visible almost immediately which is what throws me. I think I’m 9-11dpo today so I may do a 4HH and try a cheapie test again later. I’ll update.

Thank you for asking. I don’t feel great. We weren’t TTC, we just slipped up once. My kids are all grown up and I’m nearly 40.
i feel awful saying this cos I know so many people on here would love to be in my shoes. I just can’t believe this is happening.

Have you told your partner yet?

I can only imagine how feel. I know someone who went through a similar thing, but were a lot further along when they found out.

You still have plenty of time to make a decision on what you would like to do.

my auntie was 40 when she conceived, like you she wasn’t trying! Completely shocked and didn’t know what to do!
fast forward 10 years on and she couldn’t imagine her life without her child.
Take time to digest and talk to your husband when you are ready. Xx

They did decide to keep. An age gap of around 15 years between the youngest and the newborn I believe.

She still to this day says although it's not what she would have originally chosen there is no way they would be without her now. She brought a whole new lease of energy to the family.

But of course everyone's circumstances an choices will be different.

Thank you. My periods had became so irregular the past couple of years, I really thought I might be in peri menopause as my mum got hers early too. The odds on me conceiving from ONE unprotected sex must be so slim. We’re usually so careful! It took us months of TTC before we got our BFP with my son.
my kids are 19 and 8 now.
i know DH will be thrilled but I’ve got my logical head on and I’m just so worried about age, health, finances etc etc.
Again I’m so sorry to be saying these things on a thread where women are spending months/years TTC. I know this must seem so unfair to many of you. I’m so sorry.

You are entitled to feel exactly as you do OP. All you can do is talk things through with your DH and when your ready make a decision. Xx

am I jumping the gun though? I mean, it’s one test. Maybe it’s an evap, indent, faulty? I’m not even due my period yet so it might not even stick, I probably shouldn’t have tested so early.
it’s so strange, since the BFP today I’ve felt very symptomatic (nauseous, sleepy, hungry) the brain is a powerful thing ey!

im hoping to conceive op, but it does not matter at all, you are not me and our circumstances are not the same and you’re entitled to feel however you want. Please don’t feel guilty about that.

Maybe go buy another test this evening and do it in the morning. Then you know for sure either way and you can go from there, one step at a time. You don’t have to decide today.
