I am in total shock. No symptoms, took the test- thought to myself what a way to waste another test, silly woman, you know it's way too early, evening time and not even a FRER.

Nearly fell off the damn toilet!

How exciting for you! It’s a shock indeed isn’t it, I feel I wasn’t really prepared to see my positive result although I tried for several months. I hope your DH comes soon and you can share the news. My DH was away overnight with work yesterday so I told him when he got home today. He’s over the moon.

Ah how lovely.

God, I don't think I could keep it to myself overnight. It's so strange- totally shock and nerves. Even though we have been trying for months. Just such a bizarre feeling.

Obviously trying to keep chilled as very early.

Could be 2 May babies from this thread though!

For me, no not really. I have been drinking much much less. I wasn't a massive drinker, but we would have a glass of wine or two with dinner most evenings.

Thanks @Angelsrose I’m 40 and I tried for 7 months. It’s #1. So far it seems to be progressing, I did another test this morning and had a much stronger line. There’s definitely hope for the geriatric gang 💃 How are you getting on? Now that we’re on a roll on this thread, let’s hope for some more May 2024 babies 🤞

I'm just 36 and this was 6th cycle.

I'm am just terrified every time I get a little cramp or go to the loo that it's all going to be over 🙁 really affecting me today.

I did a CB one with the weeks calculator when I found out, and then did CB line ones yesterday so have nothing to compare yet that the line is getting stronger. But I have had 3 positive tests so trying to relax. Period technically is due Saturday so hopefully I will feel a bit more reassured once I have officially missed a period.

I’m 17 weeks now. We had the panorama test so know we’re having a little boy 🥰 I’ll be 38 when he’s born, so know the anxiety in the early days and things have (touch wood) been really easy so far. It really helped me to have an early scan at 6 or 7 weeks.

I have spoken to DH today and am def going to book a 6 week scan. Just to put my mind at ease. 2 and a half weeks seems ages away!

I’ve felt pretty normal the whole way through, I’ve been very lucky. I got very tired in the first trimester, regular had to have naps, but didn’t have morning sickness. I now feel completely normal, with a pot belly 😁
Just so you know, 6 weeks is the absolute minimum date for an early scan they say. I had to have an internal one because she couldn’t find anything with the external scanner. Depending on dates etc, there may not be a heartbeat yet, which is why they try and make you hold out to 7 weeks. I couldn’t though 😄
