Pregnancy Strip Test Recommendations?

I'm thinking of getting a box of cheap strip tests rather than pay loads for first response/branded etc.!

I'm wondering whether they're all pretty much the same or whether some are better than others (fewer indent lines etc.)?

Babyplan?
Easy@Home?
Wondfo?

Hopeful bump!

So...

I ordered some Babyplan tests from Amazon... and I'm still no wiser as to whether they're any good 🤣

I guess time will tell as to whether a faint positive (bottom test) is developing or whether it's an indent/evap line!

I have a bunch of OneStep tests. They are alright but I do sometimes convince myself I can see lines that aren't there. Sometimes they look like they have indents.

Thanks for responding! 🙂

I also wondered whether I was trying to convince myself there was a line when there wasn't (or just an indent), but a First Response taken this morning has shown a faint squinter of a positive result!

How many DPO are you? Can deffo see a faint line!!

With the IC I've got mom something, £6 for a box of 20. I don't think they're sensitive but it keeps my peeing on a stick obsession at bay until I'm 10DPO and I can do a test!

Where did you get your frer from? I can't find them anywhere and the earliest I can get from Amazon is Monday! Apparently the boots ones are good so going to get some today ready for tomorrow

I used the femometer ones (also use their app) this is my test I took this morning at 12dpo. Waiting a few days to do a "proper" test

I used Boots strips and they were effective for me from 12DPO. So I reccomend them.

@beetsbearsbattlestargalactica I bought my first response on Amazon - they seem to circle in and out of availability on Amazon Prime! I'm approx 11 dpo, so early days!

@PR96 I should have thought about Femometer - I use their ovulation strips and think they're decent enough!

I can see the line without the effects! It's definitely a clear pink line, congratulations!

@Poppins2016 I did another ic and a pink dye test this morning and got decent lines for (i beliveve) 15dpo. My sore boobs like to come and go which worries me and I know I'll be doing more tests! I won't stop be anxious until I'm holding this baby, and even then I'll still worry about everything! I do with my son!
Hope you're doing okay

@PR96 those are lovely strong lines, they look great! Congratulations! 🙂 🌸

I know the feeling re worry... doesn't matter whether it's early pregnancy or whether they're 4.5 (like my oldest son) 🤣 I also have sore boobs (more nipples) that comes and goes a bit... (more noticeable because I'm still breastfeeding my youngest...) The same happened in my last two pregnancies, so I'm trying to remember not to panic on that front at least!

So.... following a very faint squinter of a line this morning on an IC I also did an LH test for the hell of it which came up surprisingly strong (i.e. stronger than the pregnancy test), which shouldn't happen... (if pregnant, LH test would be fainter than the HCH test). I've done a bit of research which seems to indicate that LH can cause a false positive on an HCG test (same as HCG can cause a faint line on an LH test)... I've been spotting quite heavily all day and I suspect that my hormones are out of whack and I've just had an anovulatory cycle (that or a chemical pregnancy, but I think the anovulatory cycle is more likely based on the LH test result). Hopefully I'll have a decent bleed and then my next cycle will be normal(ish) again. I might get in touch with my GP and run through it with them, as well as ask for Metformin to try to regulate everything (I have PCOS)... I'm rather disappointed but at least I feel as though I know what's going on!

Just a quick update because I hate when I read a thread and start wondering about the outcome...

I'm pretty certain last cycle was a chemical pregnancy, not an anovulatory cycle (seems odd to consider both, but j was really second guessing myself). My LH tests (I'm currently gearing up for ovulation again) are currently getting stronger so I tried an HCG test just to see whether it would pick up on the LH and show a false positive, however it was completely clear. This makes me think the pregnancy tests were definitely picking up on low levels of hcg.
