I think I’m going mad - I’ve had children and never known a strong evaporation line like this , however I’ve done two of these this morning and each time the line hasn’t appeared until twenty minutes after and then continued to get darker , the instructions clearly say disregard any result after ten minutes - so should I ignore ?

Thinking of you and hope you've got that digital test 🫶🏼

Sugaspunsista · 13/06/2023 12:26

Oh wow this is exciting ( if you would be happy of course)

Oh wow @MemoryLapsing I'm shamelessly following having read the thread and curious about the outcome! How would you feel if it was a pregnancy? Hope you get the outcome you want, whatever that be!

Right now I genuinely have no idea - there are so many implications to being pregnant at this age - I suffered from terrible hyperemesis in my other pregnancies and not sure I could ever face that again , especially at THIS age 😖

Ask your doctor re if the HRT is affecting the result

If a digital says I’m pregnant I’ll need picking off the floor , right after I’ve picked my husband off the floor 🤣

Ask your doctor re if the HRT is affecting the result

A Google search informs me it doesn’t but that hitting the menopause can raise HCG levels so I’m hoping it’s that

Heading into town now to buy a digital , I may be a while as my nearest supermarket is forty minutes away

All my blue dyes had those lines after the designated times. Anytime I was truly pregnant it came up within the time frame

FfeminyddCymraeg · 13/06/2023 13:04

Bloody hell OP. I’d pass out from shock. Praying it’s the result you want.

Hoping that’s the case but must admit I never had it with negative blue dye tests before

Oh my, good luck OP!

VixFromThe6ix · 13/06/2023 13:14

I'm so here for these results!!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

MemoryLapsing · 13/06/2023 13:20

I’m hoping it’s one of those evil evaporation lines ! Apparently from searching within MN it seems clear blue have a bad rep for these appearing quite quickly

Raggeo · 13/06/2023 13:38

Good luck op. I hope you can get a definite result soon, whether positive or negative I'm sure you just want to know now.

GracePalmer33 · 13/06/2023 13:42

Jesus I'm on the edge of my seat here... good luck OP (for whichever way is best for it to go for you!!)

DoorHandle2 · 13/06/2023 13:42

The only issue with a digital issue is they need a higher level of hcg to show a positive than a line test so if your tests aren't showing lines until after the timeframe I wouldn't expect a high level of hcg. I would try an 'early' pink dye test to confirm the result either way.

TheShellBeach · 13/06/2023 13:42

I think you can disregard that result because it was well out of the time frame, OP.

Also, hCG can be raised by in the menopause, so as pregnancy is almost unheard of at your age..........I do not think you are pregnant.

Oooiwanna · 13/06/2023 13:46

as it’s out of the time frame then I would normally disregard but they do look particularly dark evaps! 🤔

Inkypot · 13/06/2023 13:53

I would say it's likely to be a false positive due to time frame and being a blue dye test. I had a very similar result on blue dye ones previously and definitely wasn't pregnant. But having said that, I think taking a further test is the best plan. Pink dye if possible or digital (or both!)
Good luck OP. If you still aren't sure after this next test give your GP a visit and ask them to do a blood test for you to put your mind at rest.
I, like everyone else here, am on the edge of my seat waiting for the answer for you!

Shinysilverlamp · 13/06/2023 13:58

I’m afraid I also had an identical line like and it turned out that I wasn’t pregnant. They look so convincing as well, but the line is thin and faded at one side, usually a good indicator that it’s not a line showing a positive result.

Hotandverybothered · 13/06/2023 14:01

Crikey..hate to think what your BP is at the moment 💕

SparklyStone · 13/06/2023 14:06

Good luck 🤞

satellitesunshine · 13/06/2023 14:24

hahah i’m so curious, please go get another test 😂

Pollywoddles · 13/06/2023 14:27

Absolutely negative, I wouldn’t worry if I were you. The line is too thin and not evenly coloured, classic Clearblue evap.
