Heya, it is good to be back. I joined mums net in 2020 and fell pregnant after 1 year of trying in 2021. I am now back again trying for baby number 2 (slightly earlier than anticipated as it took so long last time) and looking for a new group of lovely people who are sharing a similar journey :) x

Hey, we have started just TTC #2. We had a hell of a journey conceiving dd. I conceived naturally after trying exactly 2 years. We had failed IVF before we conceived and do have embryos in the freezer. I am dreading doing this all over again but trying to stay as relaxed as possible. We were classed as unexplained infertility but my ovarian reserve is low. I feel so lucky to have my dd. Good luck and hope you get your second soon x

Very similar story to me! I fell pregnant in January 2021 after nearly a year of trying EVERYTHING! DD is 2 in September and this is my 2nd cycle of trying, currently dpo1 but feel like I've messed up my timings this month - anyway 2ww here it goes!! X

hello everyone, first cycle for me TTC #2. 10 years later!
currently CD 34 and using BBT charting as I have really irregular cycles. Am waiting for my period to arrive but not sure if/when I actually ovulated so it’s a waiting game at the minute!

Hello :) Also just starting for #2. Have a just over 2 year old. Came off my pill 2 weeks ago, happened quickly last time which I feel very lucky about, but expecting a longer process this time.

We were very lucky with our first and it happened super quickly but I had a MMC before so I am a bit scared of TTC/pregnancy!

What made all of you feel ready for #2? I thought we would be one and done but more recently we've changed our minds

Hi ladies! Also on first cycle TTC#2 it took us 15 months to conceive DD and she’s 16 months now. Not holding out hope that this will be quick but you never know.

Heya ah it’s lovely to meet you we have just started ttc for #2 as well. Sorry to hear it was such a long process for your dd to get here. That’s amazing that you conceived naturally in the end and sending lots of baby dust your way. I also have a dd she is age 1 so also feel blessed and trying to stay more relaxed this time. I have pcos and last time we were told it wouldn’t happen naturally so we were really surprised when we fell pregnant whilst on the waiting list to see a fertility specialist. I found mums net so helpful last time to speak with people on similar journeys x

Ah good luck I have irregular cycles too it’s so hard to track isn’t it! Last time I used ovulation sticks but this time just going to try and dtd abit more in the first few cycles to avoid getting too stressed hopefully.

Welcome :) ah my AF arrived yesterday too to start cycle 1 so we will probably be on similar timings for tww to support each other :) sorry that cycle 1 wasn’t successful and wishing you the best for cycle 2.

To be honest I’m not sure I will ever be ready for #2 but it took us a while last time so we are going to just start and hope for the best :) I would like them to be quite close in age hopefully although I am apprehensive as last pregnancy I had hyperemesis was awful - we had said 1 and done too but we both love being parents so much that we have decided to try again- maybe we are mad x

Irregular periods make this all so much more difficult! Last time TTC #1 I had a much more predictable cycle. I also recognise that there is a heavy dose of luck involved in this!
Not sure if I’m very good (yet) at recognising where I am on my cycle based on how I feel. BBT helps a bit but I also get a lot of spotting which is confusing. I think I’m currently waiting for AF at the moment and am probably 12-15 DPO. Might test with a cheap test later although BBT dropped this morning so I am probably out for the cycle.

@CurlyWurly1991 it is isn’t it! Mine was irregular when we tried for dd as well and I’m convinced that’s what made it take longer. This time initially I’m going to just try and dtd more as often as possible and just hope for the best. As I tried all the methods last time and like you said it was just luck the month we fell pregnant. Fingers crossed for you with the test 🤞🏻 Xxx

Cycle 1 of trying for DC2 here.
Charts are all over the place, but my predicted ovulation day so today! I didn’t do any of this first time round so I don’t know whether it is any different, my cycles are the same length though.

I remember feeling like I was going insane in the TWW when I fell pregnant with our first. I was convinced I felt different from about 5DPO and tested way too early at 8 (BFN). I still didn’t feel right the next morning and so I repeated it and got a faint positive (which is now a 17 month old boy!) because of that though I know I’m going to spend the next fortnight symptom spotting and driving myself crazy!

Hey there! I joined in 2020 had baby no1 in 2021 and now first cycle of trying for baby no2. I can't explain it but I was so relaxed first time around about getting pregnant and being pregnant and now I'm a bundle of nerves about it lol. Possibly because my first wasn't particularly straightforward - I ended up having gestational diabetes and pregnancy induced high blood pressure. But here we are, going to give it a go!! I'm heavier than I was first time around so also trying to do a bit of a health kick and eat sensibly. Used ovulation sticks for the first time to track ovulation so I think I'm about 3DPO. Hi all can I join? I'm ttc #2 first cycle of trying and currently 9dpo! DS1 is 18 months. I'm planning to test tomorrow morning I think... although I don't feel pregnant at all so not sure if I should just wait a couple of days for AF to turn up around Wednesday! I have no patience, pretty sure I'll still test early. Baby dust to you all ladies! x

I’m cycle 1 ttc #2! My DS is just about to be 10 months. It took a few cycles with him, so we thought we’d start now as we decided we’d like a smaller age gap if it all
works out. Now that I’m 2DPO I’m wondering if I’m slightly insane for going for it right now! You all seem to have much bigger gaps than that! 😬

I’m still breastfeeding DS, so even though I’ve got my period back it’s irregular and I’m not sure how it will go! I got a peak OPK this month, which I haven’t since having DS, but not tracking BBT so haven’t confirmed that I actually ovulated but maybe!

I’m a terrible symptom spotter and chronic early tester, but I’m going to try to just chill out a bit more about it this time 🫣

@ajayelbee welcome! I think it's just about when you're ready, it's it feels right at 10 months then go for it! I always thought its have a closer gap (there's only 15 months between me and my sister) but DS was such a bad sleeper we were broken for a little while! He's sleeping though the night most of the time now so we feel like we've got more head space for it! Baby dust to you!

@ajayelbee did you test? I'm 7 dpo. I know it's a bit pointless as so early but I did a hcg stick this morning and it was expectedly blank. I'm not feeling pregnant either but still hoping! I hate this waiting part!

@ajayelbee welcome! My dd was a terrible sleeper too so ended up waiting longer than I thought I would and now I feel impatient!

Hey ive been quiet for a while as I've been away with no reception but I'm back home now, it's made the first part of the TWW go quick 😅 I'm CD18 and either 4 or 5dpo, Femometer says I ovulated CD13 but fertility friend CD14. Been having lots of sharps twinges and cramps today so hope that means something! Had no EWCM this cycle though which is strange as before having DD I always had lots of EWCM around ovulation

@Pandabumbles thanks! You’re right, timings and feeling ready are different for everyone! Have you tested yet? When I get to 9DPO I can’t help myself!

@SRyellow the tww is so hard isn’t it. I forgot how it feels like literally forever!

I am on cycle one of ttc baby #2. Been putting it off for a while but now is the time! DD is 3y7m.
It took 7months for us the first time round, but I think my cycles were less regular back then. We shall see! Glad to have found a group of you so quickly to talk about this with!! 😬

Checking in, CD 13 here and waiting for ov. Low results on OPKs but EWCM … I never get a positive OPK I think I drink too much water … feel dehydrated if I go more than half an hour without water!!
hoping I will ov this month at least as I’ve had what looks like a fair few Anovulatory cycles, cleared by Gp and medical herbalist has put me on a bunch of herbs including vitex. Second cycle TTC and with the herbs, and first with B6 so fingers crossed I can at least get my temp shift and cross hairs on fertility friend…

@CurlyWurly1991 fingers crossed for ov soon. I took herbs when trying for my first and I honestly think they massively helped as I fell pregnant after just about 2 months of taking them - was trying 9 months in total and had really long cycles which the herbs seemed to regulate.

Anyone tested yet? Dpo 8... feels like it going so slow!!

I'm CD17 1DPO according to Flo.
I tracked BBT last time but not started that yet. Couldn't get on with OPKs.
Trying to be more relaxed this time and just see what happens. But I'm already here and symptom spotting etc! 🤦🏼‍♀️ This is going to be a long TWW!!
