TTC February 2024 babies

Starting a thread because I don't see another one yet - I guess it is early for the potential Feb babies!
I'm on CD6 of 2nd cycle post miscarriage/6th month in total, ttc #2, due date would be around 2 February if we're successful this month.
Last month I was way too obsessive about testing, this month I'm really going to try to not let it take over my life - but let's see where I'm at in a few weeks' time. It's a busy month for me with a big work trip just after my fertile window then a family holiday when af is due so at least the tww shouldn't be so much of a drag.
Anyone else early in this cycle who will be trying for a Feb baby?

Happy Birthday and congratulations! Double celebrations. For the cocktails, I found previously that if you try to stick to one bartender / waiter and have a queit word or even slip them a note to say can he make every you order Non Alcoholic they'll do it discreetly.

@BudgetBuster- and thats a great idea. I'll need to have a quiet word. If I say I'm just not drinking everyone will think I'm pregnant, which is true, but it's far too early to let everyone know!

I did this recently, we were 5 weeks pregnant and had family visiting so either I or my DH spoke to the bartender discreetly. They kindly put everything into normal cocktail / gin glasses etc.

Hey all so I am very new to this and I'm wondering has anyone had anything similar. I should ovulate 21st/22nd and af on 4th. However today I have had cramps/fullness and nausea as if AF is about to make her appearance. Very confused

I'm new on this too but noticed we have the same dates this month! I usually get cramps around ovulation but haven't had anything yet. It might be that you've ovulated early as the pains tend to be right near ovulation, though everyone varies. In my head I feel like more symptoms probably mean more bigger hormone surge which could be a good sign? Some months I feel like I have no symptoms and worry I haven't ovulated at all.

Are you tracking ovulation with anything? This is my first month using LH strips and they've gotten a little darker today but definitely not anywhere near positive for ovulation yet so I think mine might come late, if at all!

Thanks @teaontap21 I'm not tracking at all just winging it really and hoping for the rest. I did see we were the same dates so keeping fingers and crossed for us both! I usually have very little ovulation symptoms so fingers crossed. Keep me updated on your journey

Hello all 👋, I am also hoping for a Feb baby.. well hoping for a baby any month really. I am 2dpo today and already over thinking this tww hence the scrolling mn and finding this post 🙂

@Floralsandsmiles have you heard of saw palmetto? It reduces testosterone levels, but you can only take it from your period up until ovulation.

@Rainyday33 planning to test maybe the 3rd.

I have been away with work and it was incredibly busy, I couldn't track lh and bbt properly. So not 100% sure when I ovulated, I'm somewhere 4-6dpo. We dtd twice within the window before i went away but I can't help feeling this just can't be our month, it's been impossible to have ttc as our focus so we haven't given ourselves the best chance. The upside of all this is I'm not obsessing over it either. Yet!

@flowerpot258 wow congratulations I'm so happy to see bfps in this thread. How many dpo were you when you tested?

@Rainyday33 I am going to try to not test until after my period is due but I don't know how far I'll get. Last month I really put myself through it because I started testing at 8 dpo and a few times got evaporation lines that made me excited and came to nothing so I really want to hold out if I can. Wbu?

@Hankthehonk - thanks!! I wasn't using ovulation tests or anything so not quite sure when I ovulated. Possibly somewhere between 10-14dpo maybe?

I took a second test this morning just to double check.

Would anyone be able to help me with the ovulation strips? Is that last one positive yet or not quite dark enough?

They were taken over a 36 hour period, most recent one was 8am this morning. I think my baseline LH might be quite low as they were completely blank the days before.

Omg I think i might be having implantation bleeding. Very light, and it's brownish pink not bright. But it's noticeable and I also have mild cramping.
I'm somewhere between 5-8dpo so the timing fits.
All my resignation that this isn't our month might be out the window, hope is creeping in. Which means a week of crazy ahead

Cycle #1 for baby #2. Got my LH surge yesterday night but was absolutely shattered. DTD night before; and will do again this evening so hopefully will cover it?
We were really lucky and fell first month with #1 but just trying to stay quite relaxed with no expectations this time around! Xx

I think so! Did this one a couple of hours ago so I'm going to assume the ovulation will be maybe tonight or tomorrow maybe. Going to DTD again tonight once DS is asleep but won't have a chance tomorrow so I'm wondering if twice tonight might help.

Might be an odd question.. but has anyone tried home insemination (turkey baster style) but obviously with a sterile syringe? I feel like it might make things move quicker but not sure if it's a weird thing to try lol.
