TTC12023 · 09/04/2023 07:20

Hi ladies! I was just wondering anyone wanted to join me in the TWW? According to my apps I was due to O tomorrow (10th, CD23) but have ended up O'ing on Thursday (06th, CD19 Hmm) so currently 3DPO. Thankfully had been BD but it's not going to be enough we don't think as only caught -3, -2, +1. This is our third month trying so not too long but I would love some company to stop me going mad, I only have a 10-12 day LP which is stressing me out as it doesn't feel long enough but apparently it is!! Grin. Baby dust to you all!

@Ttcmumma 🤣🤣 but now you think I am stupid 🙈. I only ever did the one digital that said 1-2 weeks. I did a couple more normal clear blue tests I had lying around then that was it.

Ttcmumma · 08/08/2023 20:50

@BB2818 haha nah it's understandable, I double checked the box and everything because ive never seen the control line so light before lol. Yeah I may stop now tbh, I'm worried because of my previous MMC but I was 14 weeks then so what I think obsessively testing is going to help I don't know! Lol I've definitely had a fair few different brand tests confirm strong positives, dye stealer lh tests, 1-2 and then 2-3 weeks on clear blue. Think it's time to take back my sanity!

BB2818 · 09/08/2023 17:26

@Ttcmumma I think it’s a good idea to stop testing. You will end up with a dodgy test and then end up worrying even more. Be kind to yourself and try to relax 🙂

TTC12023 · 10/08/2023 10:09

@BB2818 @Ttcmumma how are you both getting on? I still have 0 symptoms! I'm starting to worry a little to be honest and I'm 99% sure the only time I do feel sick is because I've taken my pregnancy vits!

BB2818 · 10/08/2023 13:21

@TTC12023 with my DC pregnancy vitamins made my sickness worse. The GP prescribed me a pure folic acid tablet which helped.

How many weeks now? I had nausea from about week 4-5 but didn’t start being sick until a week or two later. Didn’t really have many symptoms until a few weeks later.

Ttcmumma · 10/08/2023 13:28

Just got my first epu scan booked for Monday 21st when I should be 6 weeks and 2 days by LMP or 6 weeks and 4 days going by my app and ovulation. Not sure if I'm relieved or shitting myself 😅.

I still have a fair bit of cramping on and off, bit of discharge, nausea and sore breasts. They absolutely killed yesterday. All 3 of my pregnancies have been different tho and even now the symptoms come and go alot

TTC12023 · 10/08/2023 14:55

@BB2818 I'm 6+4 based on O. I keep reading no symptoms is really normal but every board I'm on, everyone has symptoms, and strong ones! We're going to book an US for when I'm 8 weeks but I'm dreading it in case its a MMC. I know I should be positive and have have absolutely no reason to think that there is anything wrong, I just know its really common 😫

Ttcmumma · 10/08/2023 14:58

@TTC12023 can I just add hun that with my MMC I still had all my symptoms, my body still thought I was pregnant and didn't realise the baby's heart stopped beating so my belly continued to grow, I actually felt more rough than before the baby had died. Try not to worry, my friend had no clue she was pregnant for 4-5 months as she was on the pill, only had one tube etc she never really got symptoms. She just felt fed up when she was heavily pregnant in last year's heatwave but no symptoms the whole way through otherwise x

TTC12023 · 10/08/2023 15:03

@Ttcmumma Thanks for that - I know everyone is different I guess I just have nothing to compare it too and I have had three really close people to me have MMCs. I'm quite lonely I guess as DH doesn't want to tell anyone but every time I mention a concern he tells me to 'not stress' and 'relax' - might punch him is he says it again 😂

OP posts:
Ttcmumma · 10/08/2023 15:06

@TTC12023 hopefully in a few months time you'll either be regretting worrying about the lack of symptoms because you feel rubbish or laugh because you're on of the lucky ones who just has a smooth pregnancy haha.
Yeah id probably punch him too 🤣. I haven't even told my partner yet, not sure why... I guess if I don't say it outloud it wouldn't be so real if I did miscarry? Scary what losing a baby does to you because I was always just so chill and positive when finding out I'm pregnant in the past!

TTC12023 · 10/08/2023 15:24

@Ttcmumma I really hope so! I can't believe you've not told him yet but I totally understand why you haven't. How 'late' are you, or is he not that in tune with your cycles?
I was planning on doing some cute reveal and all that actually happened was a shat myself a little that I was looking at two lines and thought I can't keep a secret long enough 😂

Ttcmumma · 10/08/2023 15:47

@TTC12023 he has suspicions, last weekend he asked if im up the duff because I didn't want chocolate 😅 but my son was in the room and I kinda just freaked out so he left it at that, sometimes he randomly asks if I'm ok so I think he has an idea but he never knows when I'm due on 🤣 and my periods have only been about 3 days a month this year so it's quite easy for him to miss. Me being a nosey cow I would notice there not being pad wrappers in the bin etc but he's a typical man 🤣. My period should have come sometime between last week Thursday and this week Monday (cycle lengths varied a little this year). He's also been knackered and falling asleep before I finish putting little man to bed the last couple nights so we haven't had a massive amount time to speak anyway

TTC12023 · 10/08/2023 16:46

@Ttcmumma I am so glad that I seem to have an aversion to alcohol 😂its been really easy when going out to not feel a pang of sadness I can't have any but when I see family they will absolutely know due to my love of wine! They'll have their suspicions but hopefully keep it to themselves! I'm going to see my mum soon but shes a smoker and I'm worried about being in the house as she just smokes around me, only goes elsewhere when DH is around; I think I'm going to have to tell w lie to not go over which makes me sad!

OP posts:
BB2818 · 10/08/2023 17:36

@Ttcmumma don’t know how you are managing to keep it a secret from DH. Mine would ask me all the time if I was pregnant yet 🙈. Mainly when I was in a strop 🤣

@TTC12023 not going to lie. I am going to be super jealous if you don’t get any symptoms.

I had my first day yesterday where I wasn’t sick once 🙌🏻🤣. In fairness it has eased a bit. But I’m not at work at the minute and I think getting a good nights sleep and no urgency in the mornings helps with the self control as very nauseous still. Despite not being sick yesterday I did hug the toilet for 30 minutes heaving. DC was just be sick already and get it done 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

TTC12023 · 11/08/2023 10:12

@BB2818 I keep wishing for symptoms and then when I get slightly nauseous change my mind! I think they're there but super mild. I didn't feel 100% this morning, almost like I was hungover and I do feel sick if I'm hungry but honestly I just though that was me - the more I think about it maybe they've always been there but so mild I just ignored it!

Ttcmumma · 11/08/2023 10:31

Ladies, mild AF type cramps are fine right? Epu have scared me... When my doctor referred me for an early scan she asked if I had pain or bleeding and I said no, just mild cramps which I assume are normal I just want to be referred because that's what epu advised when I had a mmc in January. Anyway she wrote on my notes that I have pain, maybe as an excuse to get me in easier? Tho she didn't actually clarify that mild cramping is normal I just assumed. Anyway yesterday epu gave me an appointment for 21st when I'm 6 weeks but today a lady is calling me telling me I have to come in today because the doctor said I have pain and any pain is pain, so I should be seen. after going back and forth for a while explaining that I didn't call the GP because of pain, but because of the MMC advise, i just answered mild cramping when the doctor asked if I had pain... She decided to let me just keep my appointment for the 21st. Now I'm panicking 😅. I do have a very high pain threshold, I'm not just overlooking these mild pains am I? Google says they're normal and usually Google says your dying if anything 😅

TTC12023 · 11/08/2023 11:09

@Ttcmumma try not to worry, mild cramping is normal I mistake mine for the tummy ache you get if you've eaten something off. If they're willing to see you'd I'd go to be honest, I'd love to be checked over to make sure everything is OK ❤

OP posts:
Ttcmumma · 11/08/2023 11:11

@TTC12023 thank you! Yes I'd say it's similar to AF cramps and sometimes like I've ate something funny but it's all a mixture anyway as constipation etc doesn't help! And I always get very gassy when I'm pregnant. Yes I did tell her if happily come today to be sure but then she decided to not book me in. I'm only 5 weeks tomorrow so they really wouldn't see anything I don't think, was just a very confusing 10 minute convo with them! I may actually change hospital after my 12 week scan anyway as I've heard my local hospitals rating is quite bad 🤦🏼‍♀️

TTC12023 · 11/08/2023 11:23

@Ttcmumma it sounds like someone got the wrong end of the stick and wrote the wrong information down and have now panicked you!
So many people change their hospitals I think once they do some more research, I'm lucky in that my local is very good for maternity although part of me is trying to convince DH to go private 😂

BB2818 · 11/08/2023 11:23

@Ttcmumma try not to worry. Pregnancy and AF symptoms are so similar. Hopefully your Dr and midwife were just trying to get you checked out quicker as a precaution. I have had on and off mild cramps and back ache. Let us know how you get on 🥰

rosecbrm · 11/08/2023 15:32

Hello all,

Hoping to join? I have been lurking on this thread for a while just being nosey and just want to say a huge congrats to those who are pregnant!

I have just started cycle 1 of TTC #1 (currently on CD2).

I have noticed that the past few cycles my luteal phase has only been 10/11 days, which I know is quite short (I have been OPK testing for a few months in preparation for TTC).. my cycles have only been 26/27 days when normally they are around 28/29 with O usually between CD15-17.

The previous months before that though I was getting very light spotting in the couple of days leading up to my period, which I didn't actually count as a period as I didn't even need to use any sanitary products it was that light! But then my luteal phase was around 12/13 days if I didn't count those spotting days (when I say spotting it was literally nothing, just a tinge of pink when I wiped).

I am starting pregnacare pre conception this month which I have read can alter cycles, is this going to work in my favour and extend my luteal phase?

Basically I am just panicking that there I something wrong and is there anything else I can do to lengthen my luteal phase, or am I just worrying for no reason? Also worries me that I get spotting a few days before my period.. some websites say this is completely normal and others don't.

I am a huge worrier and look into everything which does me no favours! I just want to be as prepared as I can be going in to this journey!

Sorry for the long post, sending lots of baby dust to those trying! TIA! X

BB2818 · 14/08/2023 21:01

How are you all?

@rosecbrm have you been on contraception? It can take your body up to 18 months to adjust when stopping. If you use an app to track cycles the spotting before AF doesn’t count as starting AF. CD1 will start when you put in light, medium or heavy flow.

I averagely had 2 days of spotting before AF but could be more or less than that.

rosecbrm · 14/08/2023 22:47

@BB2818 thanks for the reply!

I came off contraception in April last year.. I only started tracking my cycles the past few months so I'm not sure if it's just something I've started noticing because I'm paying more attention if that makes sense!

My last cycle and this cycle I have only had 1 day of spotting before my period properly starts.. I'm thinking this is just my new norm tbh!

TTC12023 · 15/08/2023 09:02

@BB2818 symptoms have kicked in, still not horrendous like some people experience but the nauseous feelings have started morning and night (I tend to be OK in the day) oh and the gagging has started today - perfect 😆
We're going for an early scan on Sunday which is a bit nerve racking and booking in on Thursday next week - how are you getting on?

@Ttcmumma - how are you doing?

OP posts:
Ttcmumma · 15/08/2023 10:12

Ohh I bet that's relieving to have some symptoms now!

Im ok, I got my 3+ yesterday so that felt good after a weekend of my symptoms disappearing, tho they're definitely back. Feel quite sick and had to have a 2 hour nap yesterday I just couldn't keep going. Actually thought I was coming down with something but felt better with rest so guess it was pregnancy! My scan is Monday, very close to yours!
