Can I ask what Ovulation Test Strips you would recommend? Been looking at premom ones and mom med ones on amazon.

I’ve used a fair few and easy @ home tests were my fave!

Lauraliverpool · 31/03/2023 20:32

@TTC0123 thank you! I've used clear blue in the past, but they are so expensive, so thought I'd try the strips, can you use an app to keep track when you use them?.

I liked easy@home and then used the free premom app with it. You can busy then on Amazon x

Lauraliverpool · 31/03/2023 20:53

@Tryingtoconceivenumber2 thank you! Think I'll get them, like the idea of the app, rather than trying to guess the result. X

Yeah exactly like another person said the premoms app has been a game changer and you can also add pregnancy tests to it too and it inverts the colouring so it’s easier to see if there’s a line or not 🤞🏽 good luck on your TTC journey x

I've been using easy@home with the premom app but I have to say the app results don't fill me with confidence! I get some strange results where the line looks dark but it tells me it's low and vice versa!

CC4712 · 31/03/2023 22:56

Buy a reusable saliva OPK instead!

I ovulate, but never got on with urine OPK's and never got strong lines, whereas the saliva tests- I could read easily. Mine is called 'maybe baby' but brought abroad. Other brands are available on amazon/larger pharmacies I think.

@TTC0123 fab! They do sound good!, I've seen you can add pregnancy tests so that would be good too. Thank you ❤️ and you too! X

@MrsJonesey that does sound confusing! I have used clear blue ovulation previously and found them to be good, but quite expensive when buying more test sticks for the holder, but then at least it gives you a clear result.

@CC4712 I've never heard of those before! Will have a look!

another vote for easy @ home and premom app for scanning here, totally agree sometimes premom says that the line is a lower number when the line looks darker to me but i guess that's why i don't trust my eyes with them, it's always given me the correct peak/high reading when it's the darkest line i've seen... and always ties into my temperature rise also

Lauraliverpool · 18/04/2023 17:06

@JennyMumsnet thanks for the link! Will have a look at that. 😃

@suz2285 my first time using the easy @ home ovulation tests and first time temping. I do find it a bit faffy trying to upload the results onto the app.

Hi there. AVOID ONE STEP THIN STRIP OVULATION TESTS, which I’ve ordered online and been using for months. I have used these test in an opposite way to others. To avoid pregnancy as another safety measure (NOT the only ) that my partner & I take using natural contraception methods. However. The last batch I bought were completely duff, ineffective . I was surprised it showed no ovulation that month, even though I’m mid 40s my periods are so regular like clockwork still and not one peri menopause sign yet… anyhow .. but assumed it was an age thing .. but … I’ve now discovered after a positive pregnancy test (well 5 infact as I was so in shock !!) . I heard that ovulation tests show 2 lines also when pregnant. My one step batch show just 1, not even a faint 2nd line, I bought ovulation test from home bargains to test out & they almost stole the dye from second line !! Clear 2 lines. So all the time I was checking to ensure I was not ovulating & it now appears I was clearly ovulating straight after my period (!!) . I know this as my partner and I work away and that is the only time we got busy that month! So. If you are trying, or like me , trying not to get pregnant. Avoid this brand at all costs.
