Hi everyone

I had a miscarriage 6 weeks ago at 7 weeks, i then got pregnant again before I got a period, I tested on Saturday at 10DPO it was positive, tested at 11DPO only slightly darker if at all, tested yesterday at 12DPO and it was lighter! It wasn’t FMU it was after a coffee at 11am but it definitely wasn’t darker than 10DPO test. I then convinced myself I’m having a chemical pregnancy and have been a wreck, I got a darker result this morning at 13DPO which was reassuring as it was darker than the 10DPO test, but still feel my results are not looking good as there was a drop today and now I’m having back ache and stomach period like cramps. I’m just feeling so devastated that it’s a chemical after just having a loss. I added photos, I had to throw out yesterday’s one as I was obsessing over it and so upset.

I have seen all the posts on here about tests not changing a lot and non of them ended in anything but a chemical.

Please help I’m in a panic chemical pregnancy

I just wanted to post as I bled on and off, fresh blood, until gone 9 weeks. People don't realise how normal it is to bleed especially in early pregnancy.

Take comfort in the heartbeat you saw. I know it's scary, seeing that blood on the tissue OP but all this stress and worry and doubt in every little thing isn't going to do you any good at all. You've had fantastic numbers. You're probably cramping as your uterus is starting to get bigger! Cramping is an absolute given in pregnancy when you think about what's going on! As long as you're not passing clots, and the pregnancy is in the right place, please just try and relax a bit and enjoy it.

I know it's hard, especially after a loss. But you have so many positives OP and no matter how much worrying you do, it won't change the outcome and you can't control fate. But the doubts you've had have proven you wrong so far (bleeding, faint tests, etc)

Just take it day by day and enjoy the fact you're pregnant.

Thank you !

i got an early scan, measured 5w5d and showed a heartbeat, only 110 beats per min though which I feel is slow?

anyway no more spotting but still having cramps. Holding onto hope I keep getting excited then shattered and meanwhile so so sick with nausea it’s very hard this time. They also told me I had a heart shaped uterus which isn’t great!

110bpm is Bob on for 5 - 6 weeks, all the best to you ❤️

Thanks everyone.

just unsure as to what the intense cramping and ongoing light bleeding is if it’s not an impending miscarriage, also dealing with the fact I have been told I have a bicornuate uterus. Thinking I’ll never be able to give my son a sibling and if I do they’ll be years and years apart after I deal with this issue

OP I mean this kindly but you're really catastrophising here. Cramping and bleeding is so common, in lots of normal pregnancies.

Just give yourself a bit of time, and try and enjoy your pregnancy. I bled for 9 weeks. It's scary. But it's so normal to bleed during pregnancy.

As for cranking. Well that's a given.. your womb is stretching to accommodate a baby for 9 months!

Thank you, I know I was but the pain was so severe I couldnt see what else it could be. Finally got diagnosed with a sub chorionic hemorrhage so that hopefully explains the bleeding and pain. Although worried, baby is still healthy with a beating heart.

How are you holding up @Newmama93 ?

HJA87 · 08/04/2023 11:22

@Newmama93 That’s what I had and still going strong at 21 weeks. Mine went away around the 11-12 week mark and no more bleeding since then. Felt like a long 5-6 weeks when I was bleeding though. When I wws diagnosed with it, I was signed off work and put on bed rest until it res

Posted too quickly:” until it resolved”. I Still got up to the Toilet, to prep food and then later on even went out for short walks but basically you Need to try and take it easy. Also no sex etc (pelvic rest). There is a good support group on FB if you search for subchorionic hematoma support group

Oh and I was put on progesterone pessaries which I only stopped last week.

Good to hear from someone who has had one! The doctor basically said it’s a worry and have to keep an eye on it, it’s a small bleed. I hardly spotted with it I just had horrendous pain. Pain has eased and I haven’t spotted in days but think it’s because of the progesterone they started me on.

how I have to wait 3.5 weeks for my 10 week scan which will feel like eternity. So stressful isn’t it. Glad to hear yours resolved
