Hi everyone

I had a miscarriage 6 weeks ago at 7 weeks, i then got pregnant again before I got a period, I tested on Saturday at 10DPO it was positive, tested at 11DPO only slightly darker if at all, tested yesterday at 12DPO and it was lighter! It wasn’t FMU it was after a coffee at 11am but it definitely wasn’t darker than 10DPO test. I then convinced myself I’m having a chemical pregnancy and have been a wreck, I got a darker result this morning at 13DPO which was reassuring as it was darker than the 10DPO test, but still feel my results are not looking good as there was a drop today and now I’m having back ache and stomach period like cramps. I’m just feeling so devastated that it’s a chemical after just having a loss. I added photos, I had to throw out yesterday’s one as I was obsessing over it and so upset.

I have seen all the posts on here about tests not changing a lot and non of them ended in anything but a chemical.

Please help I’m in a panic chemical pregnancy

eek well the fact that your still going strong is a positive sign! Did you request bliss from your GP, not something I have done ….you think it’s worth doing the EPAU didn’t mention anything

Do you have any reason to have doubt beside pain? I’m in Australia and the doctor here just do bloods whenever, I also got progesterone checked incase I have another MC. If you’re in doubt it’s worth a try!

I’m in the UK so it’s not as standard here…I’ve had 4 MC and have APS and Thyroiditis so VERY NERVOUS.

I’d definitely go and try and get bloods or early scan then! Surely they’d give it to you with your history. Wow so sorry for your losses. Hoping this is your sticky baby for you

@LethargicButAwesome good luck to you I'm keeping everything crossed 🤞

@Newmama93 how are you getting on?

Newmama93 · 24/03/2023 01:00

my blood reading was 79, I tested it 48 hours later and got results this morning it was 244 and progesterone 44. Is this good, out of the woods for chemical or could still drop?! I’m over the moon it isn’t dropping.

That’s awesome! As long as it’s doubling it shows all is well for now. Hang on in there :)

im on cyclogest so have a niggling feeling in the back of my mind. Many women with cyclogest miscarry but don’t bleed.

LethargicButAwesome · 25/03/2023 14:49

How’s it progressing @Newmama93 I’m 15DPO AND HAVE A NICE STRONG LINE… Ice jotted down all my misscarriage dates…currently I’ve past one! Feel like when I pass all them will be a little milestone albeit with my condition I’m high risk until the end.

started cyclogest pessaries and 150 aspirin….each day feels like an age.

Sounding really positive OP, try not to worry.

Yay so happy for you! Levels tripled again at 650 so just waiting for scan now! They said my progesterone was good but I want the pesseries, I’m just so worried that’s what caused last MC.

good luck to you! Such a nervy time. I constantly squeeze my boobs to check they’re still sore haha, crazy

Really hope it’s a sticky baby for you! Don’t worry your not alone, I slept without a bra yesterday as wasn’t feeling much and needed to feel the heaviness 🙃

do you have a date for your scan? I’m told when I’m six weeks….

LethargicButAwesome · 28/03/2023 13:34

I have a sad aB date next week! Hope I can hold out until then. Breasts feel less tender :(

LethargicButAwesome · 28/03/2023 13:34

Scan date **

Newmama93 · 28/03/2023 20:41

Yeah mine is in two weeks from Friday, such a long wait! I’m only 5 weeks this week. My boobs never get tender just sore nipples so try not to stress, also symptoms are pretty mild before 6 weeks in most cases, I know my first successful pregnancy I didn’t even know until I checked and was 6 weeks! Then I got sick etc later.

good luck for your scan! Keep me posted

Really happy for you OP!

LethargicButAwesome · 01/04/2023 00:44

Have my scan in four days… so far so good. I’ve recorded the dates of all my losses, so far I’ve surpassed 2/4 of the dates. I know it doesn’t mean anything but to me
the mini milestones keep me sane. My ‘3rd’ furthest along was dated 5 weeks 5 days so a few days for me to go before I hit that milestone!

the tender breasts are always my most tell tale sign, when I start spotting heavily, that feeling goes so it’s always something I’m conscious of. It was the first sign that prompted me to test when I had DC 6 years ago. This timr however progesterone is making everything feel
more
enhanced

positive you have a scan booked in @Newmama93 hope the 2 weeks fly by!

Newmama93 · 03/04/2023 05:33

Bleeding and cramping today.

Oh no @Newmama93 really sorry to hear :(

anyone you can call to get some help/advice/meds?

Newmama93 · 03/04/2023 10:49

Went to hospital as pain was so severe, hcg 19,000 but I assume it’ll start to drop tomorrow. This is exactly like my other MC in terms of pain and the start of the spotting, it’s not there anymore but when I push the toilet paper up to the cervix and pull it out it’s pink. Over for me. Scan tomorrow but probably inconclusive as too early so will have to wait for the bleeding to get heavier now

I don't think line progression before 14 dpo can be taken as seriously..

BabyInNov · 03/04/2023 19:17

Fingers crossed for you OP 💕

LethargicButAwesome · 03/04/2023 22:12

@Newmama93 so heart breaking for you…I know the dread that comes with the spotting and pain. There’s no words. For me it’s the uncertain period where you just don’t know for sure. I hope tomorrow is positive for you. You’re six weeks so they should be able to see something, if there is still something there perhaps push for progesterone pess?

Newmama93 · 04/04/2023 05:35

Thank you !

i got an early scan, measured 5w5d and showed a heartbeat, only 110 beats per min though which I feel is slow?

anyway no more spotting but still having cramps. Holding onto hope I keep getting excited then shattered and meanwhile so so sick with nausea it’s very hard this time. They also told me I had a heart shaped uterus which isn’t great!

OP posts:
Twoinapod · 04/04/2023 08:50

@Newmama93 seeing a heartbeat before 6 weeks is ready great. Usually 6 weeks is the earliest you expect to see one. It’s good the the spotting has stopped. I had a bleed at last weekend at 9 weeks, scan showed everything was fine. It’s so scary though. This must be so hard for you. Really hope it all goes well

Thank you! That must have been scary

I’ve started bleeding red again with contraction pain but then pain stopped and the blood stopped and nothing since. It’s so confusing but I’m sure it’s not ending well
