@bringmearainbow How are you getting on? :)

Happinessandrainbows · 16/03/2023 11:44

@FfoxRedN absolutely don't apologise for being pregnant. After all you've been through, getting pregnant again on the first try is the LEAST life should give you ❤️

Alexis7890 · 16/03/2023 11:51

@FfoxRedN i don’t know your story I have just had a brief flick back through the thread but I hope this is the one for you x

@TheBirdintheCave it only takes one and can be from 5 days before so I think you have a good chance?

has anyone used injectables from ivf or ovulation induction? This is our third go and I feel like they have got more painful last night was agony when my husband did it for me! Like my stomach is saying no and it’s bruised or something from the last cycle? I used to barely feel it! At least after this cycle I’ll get a 2-3 month break before ivf injections start I suppose

hope everyone is having a good day

TheBirdintheCave · 16/03/2023 11:55

@Alexis7890 I have no experience of that as yet but it sounds awful :( One tip I read was to put ice on the site of injection for a minute or so beforehand to numb it a little.

@TheBirdintheCave with my luck I'll start spotting in a week and that'll be past my deadline. I'm so stressed today 😭

TheBirdintheCave · 16/03/2023 12:52

@MrsJGrealish I so hope you don't and that this is your sticky bean ❤ You and @FfoxRedN both deserve a miracle after what you've been through!

Try not to stress too much (easier said than done I know). Did you test again today?

MrsJGrealish · 16/03/2023 13:01

@TheBirdintheCave no lovely i haven't. I told DH last night when he was feeling (perving) on my boobs I'd leave it a few days really to make him involved. Might do a sneaky one tonight though Xx

bringmearainbow · 16/03/2023 13:33

@TheBirdintheCave I'm good CD4 AF is just about finished. I think I'll wait until CD10 to start opk. Tbh I'm expecting around CD20 again as that's been the last 2 cycles which takes me to the end of the month which reminds me I need to order opks 😂 I have a pop up shop craft fayre thing this weekend so I have literally been working non stop to try and get it all ready just when I think I'm almost done another thing pops up that I have to remember to do 😅

@Alexis7890 ouch that doesn't sound much fun at all! I remember having to inject blood thinners after DS was born and that was bad enough towards the end my stomach was not pleased.

Alexis7890 · 16/03/2023 17:40

@TheBirdintheCave ive considered ice, might need to give it a go! @bringmearainbow yeah it’s like my stomach is going nope no more for now, I get it they all go in the same lower section and last cycle was 23 injections and 17 the cycle before but that was back in December (got forced into a January break because they didn’t have adequate staffing) so there has been a lot of injections! ooh start of cycle for you that’s exciting? Nice to have a distraction as well with your craft fair keeping you busy, what sort of craft if you don’t mind me asking?

sorry to all of you for just including myself, you seem quite established so I can leave you all to it if you would prefer. It would be nice to have people to talk to as IRL either everyone isn’t thinking of babies yet or easily had babies as soon as they wanted so thought I’d try to find a nice community but yeah I can leave you all to it if you’d prefer x

LuckyMoonstone · 16/03/2023 17:45

@Alexis7890 don’t be daft, you’re part of the gang now 👍

FfoxRedN · 16/03/2023 18:14

@Alexis7890 what @LuckyMoonstone said! You're more than welcome here 🥰. Do you alternate sides? I've seen that done before and deffo to the ice! It's worth a shot! (I've never done injections but watched many an Instagram fertility page with those that have). I can't imagine how tough it is xxx

bringmearainbow · 16/03/2023 18:20

@Alexis7890 don't be silly lovely we have all been chatting for a while but don't let that put you off. We've all had ups and downs and it's nice to chat to ladies that don't mind you whinging about TTC 😂

Ouch so many injections 🙈 what is your story? Sorry if you've already said and I've missed it I've been majorly distracted 🤦🏼‍♀️ I make clothes for mummies and little ones like t shirts and sweatshirts. I used to hand make kids clothes but sitting at my sewing machine was hurting my back a lot so I had to change it up. Let us know if the ice works that would be a handy one to remember!

Happinessandrainbows · 16/03/2023 18:29

@bringmearainbow cute! ❤️

@FfoxRedN how are you? X

Alexis7890 · 16/03/2023 18:38

Thank you @LuckyMoonstone @FfoxRedN yeah I do alternate sides but still all lower stomach in a fairly small area on each side and @bringmearainbow aww that top is so cute!! I have pcos which in my case is severe enough to mean I don’t ovulate naturally, maybe twice a year if I’m lucky so we got an instant fertility referral from our gp when we wanted to start trying as naturally isn’t possible for us. Husband has slight sperm issues as well. Have been having ovulation induction (letrozole then moved to injectables) for almost a year and only ovulated with it twice but no pregnancy, because of my husband our chances of success with an ovulatory cycle is around 8% so odds not in our favour! If no success this cycle we move to ivf which I should respond better to and they would give us icsi because of my husband. What’s your story?

bringmearainbow · 16/03/2023 18:57

@Happinessandrainbows thank you ❤️ wish I was little again 😂

@Alexis7890 wow that just sounds so crappy ☹️ you poor thing. I bet you must feel so disheartened at times. I'm glad you do have a plan going forward though so you don't just think your in limbo.

So I have one DS who just turned 2 and we were going to start trying for no 2 after our wedding in May last year but apparently Mother Nature decided that there would be an accident in March 9 weeks before my wedding 😂 unfortunately lost that baby in June found out at the 12 week scan. I fell again in July but lost that one in sept and then had a very very long old slog to get my cycle back. I tried to wait for nature to happen but it didn't so I had surgery in november and didn't get my period back for another 10 weeks when I passed a big bit of retained tissue 🙄 this will be my 4th cycle since having surgery though technically one of those cycles I would never have conceived because of the retained tissue

LuckyMoonstone · 16/03/2023 19:03

@bringmearainbow god I remember you going through all that, feels like so long ago!
@Alexis7890 wow you have a lot to deal with bless you ❤️ you sound like you’re handling it well though, you know your stuff

bringmearainbow · 16/03/2023 19:06

@LuckyMoonstone I know 😂 sometimes it feels like an age ago and other times it feels like it was only the other day when I think about it's only cycle 4 🙄 that's last one just went in and on and on 🤦🏼‍♀️

emhope · 16/03/2023 19:39

Oh wow haven’t been on here in so long so trying to catch up a bit and omg congrats to @FfoxRedN and @MrsJGrealish so lovely to read your updates 🥰

I missed the Facebook thing…but does that mean we get to see what we all look like 😆

@LuckyMoonstone @Indianna2006 thats interesting about the 16 week appointment, I didn’t realise they don’t routinely check with Doppler anymore. I have my 16 week appointment next week and was hoping to hear heartbeat as been so anxious since last scan. Saying that I have impulsively booked a gender scan for Saturday 😬 was going to just book reassurance scan but it’s was only £10 extra for gender..

LuckyMoonstone · 16/03/2023 19:46

@emhope let us know how you get on! I hope the 2 weeks til my next one goes fast

Alexis7890 · 16/03/2023 20:04

@LuckyMoonstone i ask our doctors a LOT of questions and like to know the plan for all potential outcomes and options available. Every single thing they do I ask what and why and want to understand every single thing, they probably see I’m coming in and roll their eyes thinking oh no here we go!

@bringmearainbow aww that’s a tough time you’ve been through! I hope you are getting back to normal cycles and able to try again?

from what you’re all saying the Doppler must be area dependent, my friend had a baby here a few weeks ago (Bristol area) and the midwives wouldn’t use the Doppler at all just said we don’t do that anymore but when she had her first in 2020 they used it every time. I hope you all get it to have it used if you want it!!

FfoxRedN · 16/03/2023 20:15

@Happinessandrainbows I'm good thank you for asking ☺️. I haven't had any symptoms so far other than constipation. I'm hoping the antibiotics kick in and ease that along I hear they're a bit tough on your tummy 🫣. Bite has definitely gone down though so that's a bonus I was worrying more about that to be honest! Testing again in the morning ☺️ so will let you all know how it goes xx

FfoxRedN · 16/03/2023 20:15

@Alexis7890 I am the same, always asking for more info and demanding other options 😂 xx

FfoxRedN · 16/03/2023 20:22

@emhope I'm glad to hear you're doing well 🥰. Where has that time gone!! Xx

LuckyMoonstone · 16/03/2023 20:49

@Alexis7890 I’d be exactly the same, I like to understand everything too!

MrsJGrealish · 16/03/2023 21:00

@emhope yep warts and all 🤣

@Alexis7890 god no never feel like that. It's lovely having a new person to connect with ❤️

Well my reveal didn't go to plan. That gnawing ovary pain is still there and I've been so nauseous I haven't been able to eat since yesterday. I bent down to look for a script in work at the end and I think something twisted. The pain is worse now. I sat down to dinner tonight and burst into tears. The pain, the emotion just everything. DH looked horrified. So I told him. He just hugged me, said we should go to hospital. No chance of me going back there and they wouldn't be able to see if it implanted wrong so early, but if the pain gets worse I'll have to. I think something isn't right. But I just feel bruised if that makes any sense. In bed now with hot water bottle and heat mat.

Hope everyone else is ok ❤️❤️ I quickly scrolled through the messages there
