TWW - Testing Around 1st March

Creating a thread for anyone close to ovulation or already in the TWW! I find this journey easier speaking to people going through the same and on the same timeline. We are trying for baby #1 after a MC end of June/July, we was going with the flow but after nothing happening we decided to start tracking ovulation last month and this month i started tracking BBT as well. This month is also our first month using Preseed after I saw so many people say it helped!

I am currently 3DPO - Ovulation was on cycle day 15 confirmed by BBT.

@TTCRainbow no chance of dates being wrong as input everything onto my natural cycles app. So it should only be coming up 2-3 surely? Well we will know for sure when I have my scan on the 23rd, I'll be happy with whatever as long as everything is well and it's healthy 🙏🏼🥰

UnwieldyRhombus · 10/03/2023 16:32

@TTCRainbow I think they're just not very concerned now as there's no bleeding anymore?! As far as I can tell they think I've either had a miscarriage and it's done or I haven't and there's nothing much to worry about unless I bleed again or have other symptoms. I get watchful waiting but I'm a bit impatient so we're going to get a private early scan next week - aware they might not be able to see anything much and I might not get answers, but it's worth a try.

I'm 5+3 today and have tender boobs (not like my first pregnancy either though, maybe the first one kind of 'breaks the seal' with the soreness?!), nausea that's getting worse each day and I think needing the toilet more often too. It sounds like you're about where you should be with symptoms - apparently lots of women don't feel anything until about 6 weeks? Crossing my fingers for you and hoping everything is going well.

Please don't worry too much about the cod liver oil, it would be bad if you were taking high doses every day but if you've caught it this early I'm sure it's absolutely fine xx

DiamondApricot · 11/03/2023 11:51

@UnwieldyRhombus 7 weeks I think, fairly early on. It never happened again either, just that one off.

I've booked a first early scan for 8 weeks, 4th April. Seems like forever away!

TTCRainbow · 13/03/2023 09:33

@Sb86 @UnwieldyRhombus how have you both been over the weekend?

@Sb86 we are both counting down the days to our scans, just want to to come around already! xx

@UnwieldyRhombus have you still been testing? hows it going? I'm only just 5 + 2 today and i've started reaching in the last two mornings 🙈I've stopped the cod liver oil and just taking folic acid and vitamin D, going to not worry about it as ill drive myself crazy xx

@DiamondApricot I feels like time is going so slow isnt it! I love how all our first scans are a few days between each other. Looking forward to seeing little bubs with little heartbeats xx

Hey @TTCRainbow it was my birthday yesterday so had a busy wknd which was good as it made it go quick haha. I'm still spotting a little but only when I wipe, I'm going to ring epu up today and ask when the earliest I can go in for a scan as I'm eager to start progesterone. When is your scan again? Mine is a week on Thursday but it just seems so far away especially when I'm fearing the worst every time I go to the loo.

TTCRainbow · 14/03/2023 09:24

@Sb86 Aww hope you had a lovely birthday! Has the spotting stopped again now? What did the EPU say? My scan is on Saturday 25th - 11 days to go 😬Feel really anxious today, i have days i feel completely fine and then the odd day a huge wave of anxiety comes over me. I'm still feeling completely fine other than tiredness, i'm quite a tired sleepy person anyway but my god this is on another lever so i guess i can take that as a symptom xx

Sb86 · 14/03/2023 09:31

I did thankyou @TTCRainbow 😊 I keep thinking spotting is calming down and then it starts again. I'm going to see what it's like next loo trip and decide if I need to ring epu again. I just don't want them to not be able to see enough to give me progesterone and send me away as I'll probably worry more. I'm feeling fine too not even any tiredness but I'm taking the highest dose of vitamin b6 and d so that might be why I don't feel tired. Vitamin b6 is also used for nausea so we shall see if I get that symptom or not in a week or 2 x

UnwieldyRhombus · 15/03/2023 17:58

Hi @TTCRainbow, how are your symptoms now? Sorry for not replying earlier, I've had really bad nausea and fatigue and some vomiting, so I've been pretty useless the last few days.

We went for a private scan today and the pregnancy is continuing! Bang on with the subchorionic haematoma guess @Sb86 - the sonographer could see the haemorrhage on the scan (much bigger than the baby, which is about 7mm). So I may bleed again I think? 😬

I was 6+1 by LMP but they've revised to 6+4, and I did think I might have ovulated early, so I'm happy with that. Not out of the woods yet but so relieved. I think I knew things were probably fine when the sickness got worse each day but it's so good to know for sure! What a rollercoaster this past week has been. They were completely convinced it was a miscarriage and so was I!

DiamondApricot · 15/03/2023 18:08

Wonderful news @UnwieldyRhombus so happy for you!

Sb86 · 15/03/2023 18:12

Omg @UnwieldyRhombus this post has just made me so happy, obviously not the sch but the fact baby is still there 😊 fingers crossed it reabsorbs and doesn't bleed out again. Sorry to hear you're throwing up but lovely at the same time 🥴🙈 xx

TTCRainbow · 16/03/2023 07:36

Omg @UnwieldyRhombus i have goosebumps and could cry. I’m so happy that everything is ok! How amazing.

Sorry I’ve been rubbish too.. I’ve been poorly these last few days. I’m extremely exhausted like it’s on another level, going to call my doctors this morning and ask if they can check my iron levels as I’m just permanently drained. Also think I’m experiencing morning sickness? I keep reaching with lot of saliva but not actually sick, hurts my stomach where its trying 😩

@Sb86 think I might need to get on that vitamin b6 because this tiredness and exhaustion is not ok. Even in my face my eyes are really drawn and dark I look like I’ve had the life sucked out of me.. never felt like this last time 😩 I’m hoping everything is still going ok, still got 9 days until the scan 😭 only a week away for you now! Hoping this tread is still lucky for us all and it just flows of good news 🌈👶🏼❤️

Just got home from the EPU and I've had slight cramping and spotting and they've scanned me and have seen an empty sac.

Very confusing and not sure what to think really.
Everything looks as it should just an empty sack.. I've got to go back in 2weeks.

Anyone experienced this?

TTCRainbow · 18/03/2023 14:40

@1sttimemummy2022 how many weeks should you be? I did have this but I was supposed to be 7/8 weeks and the sack and yolk only dated me at 4/5 weeks which I knew wasn’t right xx

OP posts:
1sttimemummy2022 · 18/03/2023 20:22

@TTCRainbow do you mind me asking what the outcome was?
I'm 5+5 but sonographer thought I was more like 6+3
Xx

Sb86 · 19/03/2023 11:26

Morning everyone, I had some bleeding and cramping last night rang epu in floods of tears but they just said keep an eye on it and to ring them weds evening to let them know how I've been as have scan on Thursday. I just wish they'd have given me progesterone when I first rang up and said I was spotting, why do I have to have 3 miscarriages before that will happen?! Bled a little in the night whilst on the toilet but don't have any pads so got knickers on and laid on a towel in bed. Partner has taken his son to play in a rugby match so he's bringing me some back when he comes home.

@UnwieldyRhombus how much did you bleed and what was your cramping like? I said after last mc that I just hoped there wasn't a subchorionic hematoma this time and now I find myself wishing it is rather than a mc! The waiting is just horrible 😞

UnwieldyRhombus · 19/03/2023 12:41

@Sb86 Oh, that's horrible, I'm so sorry! Are you still bleeding?

I had some period-style cramps - not super painful but enough for me to say 'oh, ouch' out loud - and then felt liquid coming out. It was basically like a medium period day for about 2 hours following that - blood when wiping and on the pad but not like flooding. Might be closer to a heavy period as I have PCOS and my medium days are possibly more like other women's heavy days?

I really hope everything is ok for you. It does seem harsh to need someone to go through mc 3 times before they can offer additional support!

Sb86 · 19/03/2023 12:49

Yeah my cramps were like period then since the proper bleed it's been dark brown watery with a few stringy bits in it when I've wiped with odd time dripping into loo but no red

1sttimemummy2022 · 19/03/2023 15:10

@Sb86 Could you book for a private scan?

Sb86 · 19/03/2023 15:15

@1sttimemummy2022 I don't know anywhere that does them before 6 weeks 😞

1sttimemummy2022 · 19/03/2023 15:36

@Sb86 oh I'm sorry you're going through that. How are you feeling now? How many weeks are you?

Sb86 · 19/03/2023 19:45

I'm 5+3, they won't scan me until I'm 6 weeks on Thursday. I rang them 2 weeks tomorrow after spotting and that's the earliest they'd do it. Even after ringing up last night they said Thursday, it makes me so frustrated...I've now got to wait feeling like this! I'm getting watery brown blood when I wipe, there hasn't been a red bleed since it first happened. I'm getting aches but not really sure what to make of them, they aren't like period pains. I still feel nauseous with the watery awful saliva and my nipples are still tender but I know they wouldn't just disappear anyway. I just want to know now so I can deal with it mentally 😪

UnwieldyRhombus · 19/03/2023 21:18

I'm so sorry @Sb86, that's brutal that you're having to wait and not know. Please keep us updated. I would think mc would be more blood, but obviously far from an expert. I know that they have to say 6 weeks to ensure they can see it and everything but is 5+4 (tomorrow) really going to be that different than it would be on Thursday? We're here if you need to vent xx

Sb86 · 20/03/2023 03:20

@UnwieldyRhombus I know when I went last time because of spotting they measured me at less than 6 weeks and saw the heartbeat. I get why they do it to have more chance of seeing a heartbeat and I suppose if they saw something on their scan like the sac and it got my hopes up but I had to go back and they still couldn't find a heartbeat it would probably be worse in the long run. Thanks, I'll keep you posted 💔

TTCRainbow · 20/03/2023 09:49

@1sttimemummy2022 Hey sorry for such delayed reply, it wasn't a happy ending. They did my bloods same day and scan and i went back for another scan and more bloods 48hrs later, nurse said on the scan everything looked fine just earlier then i thought and was only 4/5 weeks (which i knew wasnt right) then when my blood results come back my HCG levels had decreased slightly so they told me it was a failed pregnancy.. a week later i started bleeding and had a MC 😔

@Sb86 So sorry to hear you are still bleeding and they wont get you in. Even if they could get you in for blood tests to monitor HCG levels leading up to your scan to at least give you an idea of what it going on. Its so shit you have to had 3 before they help, not right at all 😩Try keep positive and keep us updated, will have everything crossed for everything to be ok ❤

Thanks @TTCRainbow I was really upset on Saturday but I haven't bled since and it's just back to brown on the toilet paper when I wipe but not as much as there was Saturday and Sunday. I'm just hoping it's a subchorionic hematoma as I know they are likely to happen when you've already one previously. I can't do anything anyway so unless I bleed again I'm trying to be positive, I just really hope it's good news on Thursday xx
