Hi. Anyone taking clomid ? I’m on my TTC2 with clomid starting from today again. First time was unsuccessful hopefully this month will be more lucky
n3vfaye · 18/02/2023 18:50
Hi, we are on clomid, just had my first cycle seemingly unsuccessful as scans on day 10 and 16 of cycle showed no large follicle. Currently on cd27 and no sign of ovulation. My cycles are usually 40 + days. I may still ovulate late and we may catch it 🤞.
Hoping for cycle 2 starting a double dose of clomid.
Have been given a prescription to induce a bleed to start the 2nd cycle early if I haven't bled by cd 30-33 but I'm going to let it be natural and see how cycle 2 is
Good luck 🙂 x

I have 2 clomid babies.
Both conceived on cycle 3.
Good luck.

Hi 👋🏼 I did 2 cycles on letrozole and I took a break in January as I was travelling to a remote area of Sri Lanka so didn’t want to take. Then had a CP in that month so didn’t want to take while everything got back to normal.
I’m on 5dpo currently but will have one more cycle of letrozole left for next month if I’m not pregnant this month.
I pushed the ACU to try letrozole while I lose weight to be eligible for NHS IVF, was having regular periods but wanted to try anyway. It clearly did something to help as I’ve never had a positive test at all in 3 years of TTC. I’m 33 and TTC #1
It’s nice to be able to chat to others taking it!
let us know how you get on @Ks2023 🌸 xx
Ks2023 · 18/02/2023 20:48
I’m ovulating naturally and last months had 3 large follies but my endometrium very very thick 20mm so eggs just don’t stick 😕 clomid should make my endometrium thinner hopefully 🙏🏻 Had CP back in January
just took 100mg of clomid just now let’s start the counting I’m CD2 now only 25 days to go
good luck everyone ❤️

Hi, looking for some clomid friends to bounce off through this cycle. @Ks2023 I think I’m at the same point as you, if I read your original post correctly. It’s my 2nd round of clomid, currently CD5 so will take my last dose tomorrow. Did days 5-9 last time and confirmed ovulation with bloods. Hadn’t realised endometrium could be too thick for implantation! How did you find that out?
@n3vfaye How’re you getting on with late ovulation/AF’s arrival? Fingers crossed!
LondonLovie · 20/02/2023 16:47
My DS was a cloned baby. Conceived on the very last, and 7th cycle of it. Don't get up x
Ks2023 · 20/02/2023 16:49
@Oakley321 my last dose will be Wednesday as I’m CD4 today and taking it from day 2-5 I did last months follicle tracking on day 12 they checked how many follicles I have and my endometrium as well. I’m ovulated as well confirmed with OPK and BBT charts but didn’t do blood test. This months will be unmonitored for me I wanna relax more and don’t stress too much 🥰
n3vfaye · 20/02/2023 17:00
Unsure how to quote apologies.
CD 29 no sign of ovulation or AF
Who knows what's going on at this point 🙂
Just on the waiting game for cycle 2 as timings would work out slightly.bettwr for us as we are getting married September.
This is ttc2 we have a lovely 2.5yr old.
Good luck everyone
Oakley321 · 20/02/2023 17:05
I feel the same, last month was a bit stressful but I know I won't be able to not do OPKs/BBT/early testing. Wish I could relax, but it's always on my mind. Thinking about paying for a private fertility scan this cycle, just to check everything over. Are you using OPKs this cycle?
Oakley321 · 20/02/2023 17:11
@n3vfaye AF arrived on CD33 for me after last months clomid, which seems to be around the latest 'normal' cycle day, from my "research". I've put that in quotes because by research I mean trawling through TTC forums when I was stressing about it not turning up by CD30. 😂
So you might still have a few days for her to arrive naturally. Congrats on the wedding btw! Hope planning is going well!!
Ks2023 · 20/02/2023 17:14
@Oakley321 i will be using opk and BBT but I’m not gonna do scan as last time it’s drove me mad about follicles and follicles size as I had 3 large follicles I was sure I’m gonna have triplets 🤣and at the end I have none
Oakley321 · 20/02/2023 17:22
Did you get your hopes high then? I was just so happy to have ovulated for the first time in 3 years that I figured of course I'm up the duff. Was genuinely shocked by the negative tests 😂
Twiggywinkle13 · 20/02/2023 17:39
Cycle 2 for me on letrozole but so many people take a few months - don’t be disheartened! ❤️
Oakley321 · 21/02/2023 07:56
@Twiggywinkle13 You're in the middle of cycle 2 or your conceived in your second cycle? Hoping cycle 2 will work 🤞🏼
Smoky1107 · 21/02/2023 08:13
Both my daughters are clomid babies. Not babies really! I had my my first cycle 20 years ago next month and it worked. Good luck
Ks2023 · 22/02/2023 19:05
Had my last dose of clomid today 🙏🏻 Will start using OPK from Friday. This month clomid really messing with my head I’m feeling so depressed and so angry. If this month it’s not gonna work I’m gonna try natural next month without checking and timing anything. I think stress factor is not very good when u TTC
Oakley321 · 07/03/2023 21:28
@Ks2023 Hope you're feeling a bit better. It's an emotional enough time as it is without ramping up hormones with these pills.
Ks2023 · 08/03/2023 09:37
Unfortunately I had miscarriage so I guess clomid worked first time but unfortunately little bean wasn’t sticky one 😣 I don’t want to use clomid anymore for some reason I think I miscarry because of it
Oakley321 · 12/03/2023 15:23
@Ks2023 I'm so, so sorry to hear that. Just awful. A friend of mine had 3 over 12 months but is currently 35 weeks along with no4, with no interventions. So hard. I hope you're doing ok x
Oakley321 · 21/03/2023 06:48
Hi @Heytryintoconceive !
My GP wouldn't do it, she had to be refer me to fertility. Didn't take long though. How long have you been trying? In my area, you need to have been trying 12-24 months to get NHS help. Don't be afraid of telling a little white lie to get help quicker if it's not been long enough. 😉
Heytryintoconceive · 21/03/2023 09:13
Hi there thank @Oakley321 thank you for responding. It’s almost been a year. Tests show I’m no ovulation is occurring at 21 test. So I figure I just need a little stimulation down there and so far clomid seems to be the drug of choice for many. I lost a baby full term in December 21, so I don’t know if it’s the stress from that or that’s I’ve just turned 42, it seems the odds are against us at the moment but will keep trying.
xKri55yx · 22/03/2023 14:07
Hope you don't mind me jumping in witha stupid question. I was prescribed clomid by nhs for 4 cycles. First cycle would be tracked . Who do you contact to arrange the follicle tracking scan? My first consultation told me phone the epu early preg unit? Second wrote me a letter telling me phone the secretarial staff at local health centre .
I know it's such a stupid question but I don't really know which department or who im I'm supposed to contact
Oakley321 · 25/03/2023 04:28
@Heytryintoconceive I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your beautiful child. I can't even begin to imagine the stress that must have caused and wouldn't be surprised if it is a contributing factor to your current struggles. I would definitely ask your GP about clomid, even if that only gets the ball rolling in the right direction for you.
Oakley321 · 25/03/2023 04:34
@xKri55yx My experience has been similar, the system can be quite confusing and protocols seem to change at the drop of a hat. I would call the EPU first then the health centre secretary if the EPU can't book you in. If both fail, call your consultant's nurse/secretary if you've got their number. They don't make it easy, do they?
