Hi all! As the title suggests, I have set this up as a space for those of us who are TTC and in that long wait between ovulation and when AF is due!
So, to kick us off... I have been TTC #2 since November. Had one chemical in that time and now well into the TWW with AF due on Tuesday! After spending a lot of money on early tests / having the disappointment of a chemical I am now avoiding early testing and will instead wait until AF is late, but zero judgement on anyone who likes to test early - I totally get the urge!

Look forward to hearing from others who are also on their TTC journey!

I’m 6dpo too. Af is due on the 20th and I honestly don’t think I can hold out another 8 days. I’ve been debating about testing on Valentine’s Day but I always have low hcg and get faint lines even after af is late, the doctors sent me for blood tests last time.

9dpo today! Been cramping last day and few bouts of nausea. Had tingly boobs for about 4 days now. This morning I’ve wiped and have super light pink on tissue something I never normally get before period and also I’m a week early. I think I could be pregnant!

I’ve never had this either with both of my pregnancies. I don’t really have any discharge with is unusual for me because I normally have some about this time. I also normally feel like I’m getting a water infection before I come on and I’ve not had that either. The bouts of sickness are awful I had it with my daughter and I knew I was pregnant, it was so hard waiting to test.

surfingdreams · 13/02/2023 08:16

The cramping and spotting continue but no AF yet! Trying my best to put it out my mind and enjoy our holiday for now. Having had the CP last month with similar symptoms, I don't know what is going on anymore.

Doodles18 · 16/02/2023 14:23

Hey everyone , hope it’s ok to join… currently 2/3 days po , ttc baby n2… had missed miscarriage last summer and been trying since! Hopefully this is our month !!! 2ww is just a torture…

peaky297 · 24/02/2023 07:53

Hi everyone!

Sorry I've been quiet - always take a step back between AF and my fertile window to give my mind a break from it all.

How are you all doing? @Doodles18 @surfingdreams @Holly03 @babymumma1999 @SnookyPook @ThomasinaLivesHere @FiddleLeaf @Hankthehonk @TTC0123 @blebbleb @Enn1234 @honeybee1986 @elarcoiris @GemLou88 @Twoinapod @Mummyo1

Have any of you used the clear blue ovulation tests? I've had the flashing smiley for the last 5 days, but no solid smiley to say I've hit my peak yet! Is that usual? Ovulation is estimated to be Sunday according to my app.

@peaky297 i got my BFP Monday last week. I used ovulation strip and didn’t see a slight rise until CD19, had my peak CD 20 and felt ovulation CD21. Got my BFP 1-DPO.

Id highly recommend easy@home ovulation strips and the premom app. Also used preseed.

Onewsteeth · 24/02/2023 08:33

Losing my mind waiting. I am 5 days late and home tests re constantly negative. I am also on Clomid to support ovulation. I also have low progesterone (17), whic is apparently very low. I have had 5 miscarriages so far and this is frustrating. The nurse doesn’t seem to care that I am 5 days late. I have now bought a home blood test kit to test myself. I asked nurse for beta hcg blood test and she says if urine test is negative then blood test will be negative too. Not sure what to do.

I have used it a lot. Flashing smiley is something I have never seen before? It’s it’s solid smiley or solid circle?

Doodles18 · 24/02/2023 09:25

Hi , @peaky297 , I’ve never used clear blue ovulation sticks , so unfortunately can’t help. I’m tempted to try them my next cycle tho if this one is not a success…. Felt sooooo many symptoms this months felt like i would have a positive , only 9dpo but couldn’t resist ti test and of course BFN 🥺
I know it’s early but I’m pretty sure I tested positive this early with my first one.
my friend used clear blue and I remember her saying it drove her crazy as it took quite few days until she got static smiley face , try not to panic xxx

peaky297 · 24/02/2023 09:32

@Twoinapod huge congratulations on your lovely news!

@Onewsteeth so sorry to hear you are having such a rough time and hope you get a definitive answer soon - the not knowing and false hope is the worst part. Keeping everything crossed for you! It's the new clear blue ones, so has a circle for negative, a flashing smiley for "high fertility" and then a static smiley for peak!

@Doodles18 thanks for the reassurance. Trying these to get more clarity, but so far they are just confusing me more! Haha

Happy to say I'm now 5 weeks plus 5 days pregnant. But very nervous due to my mc in December so I can't really enjoy it yet. Also had no symptoms so far which is adding to my anxiety!

Hankthehonk · 24/02/2023 09:53

@peaky297 hey, kind of you to check in with everyone :) I got my bfp a couple of weeks ago, I'm now 5w4d pregnant (according to Flo anyway, I think it might be a bit less than that).
Got lots of symptoms and had a dye stealer test on Monday so I'm trying to keep my anxiety at bay, got an early scan on 12 March.
Baby dust to you and everyone else on the thread still waiting for your bfp xx

peaky297 · 24/02/2023 09:55

@blebbleb @Hankthehonk huge congratulations to you both! 🎉 wishing you both happy and healthy pregnancies!

Currently on the day AF is due! Got a first response early result arriving in the post today and all I can do it wait! Been trying for my first since November, the 2 week wait is lovely because of the possibility and excitement but the let down is empty and horrible xx

peaky297 · 24/02/2023 10:10

@bbypinkluffie totally relate to that feeling. Fingers crossed with your test - let us know how you get on x

@peaky297 hi lovely! Thanks for checking in! Pleased to say that I also got a BFP on Monday (14dpo - didn't check earlier)! All feeling a bit surreal still!

Sending lots of lovely healthy baby dust to those of you who are still trying. Hopefully this will be your month! X

p.s. didn't use those CB ones myself but have seen a few people on different threads go on about flashing smileys. Certainly seems to be a thing that happens! Hope you get your solid one soon. I just used cheap OneStep ones from the internet!

peaky297 · 24/02/2023 10:29

@SnookyPook huge congratulations to you! Lovely to see that so many of you have had your BFPs 💕🌸

Got a negative test last night, and negative again this morning, used first response early result tests both times testing, I don’t think it’s happened for me this month, no AF yet though xx

joeyww · 25/02/2023 17:55

Hi all, I’ve been been TTC baby no.2 for 20 months. Known to local fertility services who discovered that part of my placenta had been left in my uterus for 3 years 😱Cue 2 surgeries last summer for removal of intrauterine scar tissue that had formed as a result. One Fallopian tube blocked, history of PCOS. Low morphology on the male side but quantities good which counterbalances this somewhat.

I’m in the 2WW according to my Flo app but I use the ClearBlue ovulation sticks and have had flashy smileys for the past 4 days (when usually I’d get 1 or 2 days of them, or none at all and straight to solid smiley). They’re driving me a little mad! My body tells me ovulation has passed, if it even occurred at all this month…

peaky297 · 27/02/2023 09:32

@bbypinkluffie how you getting on?

@joeyww sorry to hear of the difficulties you've been having - been a rough road for you but hopefully it will all be worth it in the end! 🤞

So this month DH and I have made a more concerted effort BD wise and have DTD every other day for the last week as it's my fertile window. Not sure if I've O'd or not though ... clear blue test is still a flashing smiley and my cheapie test strips got gradually darker and now going the other way again. I was getting my ovulation cramps a few days ago, but no EWCM (though I don't get that every month). The bit that's really throwing me is that from right after ovulation until just before AF I usually have very sore boobs and some gnarly mood swings, but so far I'm fine 🤷‍♀️ no idea what's going on, going to keep regularly DTD just in case but I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens ... so stressful!!

Hey @peaky297 sounds like what happened to me a couple of months ago. My IC LH tests were up and down and kept getting O pain on and off. Keep tracking because I did eventually get a peak. Someone advised me that it might have been my body gearing up to ovulate and that’s why my levels kept going up and down and on and off O pain. Fingers crossed for you x

peaky297 · 27/02/2023 09:57

@GemLou88 that's interesting - my period is usually pretty regular mind so if it doesn't turn static in the next day or so I think I'll have to assume that either I missed the peak (I missed doing a cb test Saturday as I was away and forgot to take it with me) or I've not ovulated this month 🤷‍♀️
Wish I had a crystal ball sometimes 😂

@peaky297 keep testing and see. You might have another surge in a day or two and ovulate. The month I fell pregnant with DS I was sure we missed O, but then I had another surge and ovulated 11 days later than expected
