Thanks @NatGee FX'd!

I have progesterone 7 days before AF (Great fun trying to predict that with irregular periods!) and Oestradiol on day 2 - I suspect it is to check I am ovulating which I am pretty sure I did a few days ago according to the CB tests - DTD every night of the peak/static smiley but wasn't successful every time - it's becoming a chore and the pressure is putting him off, and the stress/overwhelming emotional rollercoaster TTC has had on me this week I am exhausted! Mentally and physically 😅

My GP has referred me to a specialist re; cysts so I am glad she is taking it seriously, however my DP has to give a SA but his GP surgery is rubbish so it might take a while!

How is everyone getting on? I'm in the TWW now and trying to think of ways to distract myself from the constant over thinking spiral 🙃 Sending baby dust and hopeful BFP's to you all xxxx

I expected my peak LH yesterday morning as it's usually like clockwork but I still haven't hit it yet, tested again last night and just now. I'm not worrying as know peak can change for lots of reasons it's just odd. This is the first time since TTC that I've been eager for the TWW to start and now I just feel in limbo 😂Have DTD 4 times this week so far but expected fertile window will be moving now so I'm trying just to look at it as being able to fit in a couple more chances.
Have definitely felt like the pressure is off more this month since we've been told it likely won't happen 'naturally'. Gutting but also something we can hopefully work with once test results confirm docs suspicions.

Right decided this is a no boundaries space so going to ask a question…

What do you guys do after sex? I normally try and lay down, cushions under for 15 mins but it clearly isn’t working as it’s been 10 months!!

I’ve brought a ferti-Lily but really struggling with it - any tips? Or other things you can do to increase chances (I’ve heard a orgasm?)

@Superstorefan123 I don't do anything special tbh! I don't jump straight up to the toilet - give it a few mins, but other than that 🤷🏼‍♀️ I have heard that its a bit of a myth that lying upside down etc helps... Who knows?

LotzW · 10/02/2023 17:49

@Superstorefan123 @SnookyPook
Can't say I'm doing any of the lying upside down or pillows, but I went to the bathroom soon after yesterday and noticed lots fall out and definitely had a panic. Especially as it's peak timing! So maybe I'll lie still a little longer in future. TMI 😳😬

2 of my friends who were trying for a while said that the cycle they fell pregnant on (after some time trying) happened to be the one where they had orgasms. It could be a coincidence, who knows.

Has anyone every experienced/heard of early pregnancy symptoms starting really soon after ovulation?

I’m 4DPO and have had some mild cramps, nausea, weird taste in my mouth, and generally feeling fatigued/paranoid/hormonal - all of which I had during my previous pregnancy (which sadly ended with a miscarriage at 6 weeks in December).

Logically I know this is unlikely to be pregnancy related because implantation is meant to be more like 6-12DPO, but the similarity in how I feel is uncanny… which then makes me feel like I must be imagining things because I so want to be pregnant again after losing my first pregnancy.

@madeofcodes there might be some truth in that, hopefully it does work for the majorty but hasn't for me I'm afraid. I nearly always orgasm and here I am nine cycles on....

@NatGee I wonder if there is something about when you orgasm? I think orgasm after the man has (grim but… to scoop the sperm up with contractions?)

Report
SaltedChoco · 10/02/2023 22:29

Yes I was wondering about the orgasm being before or after, too!

Report
Mummyme87 · 11/02/2023 06:17

Yes orgasm afterwards to help the spermicide get further up I suspect.

Thanks @SnookyPook yes the donor is on standby, so to speak! Hoping I get the static this weekend. Annoyingly it's half term though as will really need to be sneaky with DC (13!) at home. Good luck to you too!

Am going to practise with the Ferti-lily today!

@Fairylight102 trying to think back to my last pregnancy which was only oct-dec so you would think I would remember! But I’m 5 dpo and have been so exhausted and cranky today and my nipples are super sensitive which was a major symptom previously so been Googling. Last month a few days before AF I convinced myself I was having early symptoms but it obviously was the lead up to AF so don’t want to get hopes up again.

Hey all!! Jumping on to get through the dreaded waiting window.

Im 8DPO today, cd 24 (I have 30 day cycles usually).

I did 3 easy at home tests and all had 2 very squinty lines come up. FRER was negative.

posting pic for others opinions (I won’t be offended either way) BUT I have read this brand can have an issue with false positives

@Tophy124 That is one very clear line, wow congratulations! when would your due date be? Well done :)

Hey @Tophy124 I can definitely see the line although if the FRER is negative I wouldn’t be overly confident as that is 6.5miu versus 10miu on the easy@home. I had a similar line last summer on the easy@home that came to nothing. However, don’t rule out that it could be something. I have everything crossed lovely 🤞🏻

Tophy124 · 11/02/2023 20:29

@Mummyme87 I think I’m going to stop using these as all day I’ve been getting lines come up and it really raised my hopes! I got a negative on a different cheap one and a negative on FRER.

Report
Tophy124 · 11/02/2023 20:31

@NatGee So I’ve been googling and apparently these ‘easy@home’ tests are really prone to false positives!! So many results come up on google. So awful!! I’m going to wait a week if I can and test again as due AF next Friday. I’ve had a false positive on a clear blue a few months ago too, just cruel!

NatGee · 11/02/2023 21:08

@Tophy124 oh! I had no idea, apologies for the premature celebrations. Theres still some hope that these arent faulty. Wait a bit longer and hopefully youll have more certainty xxxx

Tested again this morning and all stark white, so think it was a dud test or something odd going on with me that’s now passed. On to next month for me!! Due AF soon.

Its nice to see familiar names here but also sad! I hope we all get our baby dust soon xx

@Tophy124 I ended up on this thread by accident but saw your comment and just wanted to say I was using them when TTC, every month I didn't TTC they were stark negative. I trust them more than any other brand, and I've been through more than one batch as well. I think any brand will have negative reviews as well.
Do you have pictures of your tests? Did you have a long hold before peeing this morning? Sorry for so many questions! I'd be more inclined to think it was a CP if tests were positive 😔

@Tophy124 sorry I just scrolled up and saw your test. Looks like a positive to me and also the line is pink? Xx

I’m 9dpo today (early I know but yesterday was 8DPO when I was getting the positives and I had 5 in a row where a line came up on the easy at home strips. Negative on FRER.)

Held a wee for 4 hours and just did another and stark white again!! I did read online that some ladies think their HCG tests were actually ovulation tests mislabeled but to me that wouldn’t explain why I had lots with a line and now stark white. I will post a pic of todays test in a moment!!

clearly I need to learn to wait!! We only DTD once this month as DH was unwell and we missed both days I had a smiley on the clear blue ovulation kit, so I don’t know why I got my hopes up 😭

@NervousNoo the same thing is happening to me this month. I'm CD14 and usually would have peak by now but still really low tests. My peak does come out of nowhere though so now I'm worrying that I've missed it but I'll keep testing as it might just be a day behind as it fluctuates between 13-15 usually. Hopefully it'll be soon!!

@MilkyAndFluffy how are you getting on? We've been having a lot more fun with things this month which has been a nice change. I haven't been as hot on the LH strips as usual which I'm now worrying that I've missed my serge which isn't ideal as I do need to know when I've ovulated for my meds.... Hoping it will be later today or tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
